I'll be bringing my dog there for at least a year now I deal with a groomer by the name of Olivia she is absolutely fantastic always does a wonderful job on my dog she's friendly kind gentle just a great groomer. I definitely recommend her 10+ plus plus. read more

WARNING - do NOT go for grooming. Groomer called to say she could not finish grooming my dog because she had a broken rib and was in too much pain... they still charged me and literally only groomed HALF my dog. Absolutely ridiculous.. you should not be at work if you can't do the job or have someone to support you. They said I could come back in 3 WEEKS to finish the job.. was very disappointed because I had heard good things. Definitely will not be going back. read more

I was really nervous coming here as I had previously been bringing my furbaby elsewhere for the past 8 years. My mom had made the appointment and since it's much closer to home, I decided to check it out. Upon entry, it's nice to see that it's a nicely sized store- not too big or too small, just right...and there are two cats that kinda roam free and hang out (aka they nap at the front and chill). I think it was a good indication that it's not a chaotic place since animals can be really sensitive to that kinda thing. When I met the groomer, I explained my crazy and over protective pet parent concerns, and they listened attentively and helped to ease my mind. Gizmo was very excitable but he didn't seem nervous- that also reassured me because I cared more about his experience than my own. The grooming process took between 2.5-3 hours, which I think has been pretty standard in my experience. Gizmo smelled and looked amazing when he was done, freshly groomed puppies are my favourite! The price point isn't bad, either. I was worried it would cost more than my previous spot (PetSmart) but in the end came up about 10-15 dollars less. Amazing! Gizmo seems really happy, so I'm sure we will be back again for his next grooming. Kudos! read more

We are new to the area and our senior fur baby was in dire need of a visit to the groomer! I researched local places and liked the reviews I read. It was tough to get an appointment which is a good sign- I always wonder about places who are available right away. Then there was a mix up with our appointment and they didn't have us on the calendar when we moved our spot.. and then they called the morning of to ask if we could move our scheduled slot to a later time that day! I explained that we couldn't change the time so they took her for her appointment... But be careful when booking - administratively not as good as the grooming side of the business! The day of the grooming appointment arrived and I was nervous to try somewhere new. Our old girl is deaf and a little arthritic and we are quite particular about her haircut! Meeting Eden, our groomer, put my mind at ease- she listened carefully to my instructions, asked questions to clarify and was sweet and gentle with our old girl. And they would brush her teeth- not every place I've been to will- and they charge $10 more but you do get to keep the toothbrush they use so I guess it's worth them doing it in the end. Anyway- when we picked her up (right on time) Lulu looked amazing! Eden had followed my instructions perfectly. Especially impressive was the way she groomed our dog's feet. Normally, she won't hold still because she hates having her feet touched and the result is less than great.. Lulu's feet were perfect this time! I highly recommend The Pampered Pet- just remember to plan ahead when calling for your appointment! read more

horrible not to mention just dishonest. brought my dog in 3 times to be told that she was matting within days. the truth is they didn't complete the job they said they would do. The third time, they lied again! saying they had done the mat and shaved it and the mat is still there but I was charged an addition $40.00. the dishonesty is so over the top that I won't even buy a dog chewy there. don't go! read more

This place feels like a family business, and it's such a refreshing change from the big-box corporate world where stores feel the same whether they sell hardware or kibble. TPP is warm and inviting, with friendly staff and free-range cats greeting you in the aisles (or curled up for naps on food bags!). The price is also nice, especially for services like nail trimming. Thank you PetSmart. If you hadn't treated my pets and I so poorly, I'd never have discovered this gem in my own neighbourhood. read more

Very disappointed. They called and changed my appointment from a groomer I knew, and to a time at the very end of the day which was very inconvenient. Nevertheless I took my year old pup for grooming, but was called back after an hour as they said my sweet golden doodle was too exuberant to groom. They returned him to me half clipped and looking strange. But they set up another appt with a different groomer to finish the job. They had me to pay $95 for this poor service. To make it worse, they just called and cancelled the follow-up appt to complete the job. I am very unimpressed! read more

We took our Pomeranian here for a grooming! They did a wonderful job! He looks and smells great!

My pup came back covered in cuts, unevenly clipped and shaved and extremely anxious. His whiskers had even been cut off! My dog works as a therapy dog and is quite accustomed to new people. However, he was so nervous and timid when I picked him up he threw up in the car. I will never be exposing my puppy to this kind of treatment and apathy again. read more

Fantastic staff, great selection of food, toys and accessories! After moving into the neighbourhood, it was difficult to find a pet store that carried the brand of food I fed my dogs that was also close by since there wasn't a Global Pet Foods close to my new location. After discovering TPP, I wouldn't go anywhere else anyway. The staff are friendly, LOVE my dogs (Mocha and Ve) and have the dog food program where you buy X amount of bags and get one free. read more

Amazing service. Amazing staff. Extremely friendly and inviting. I've only been there two times and I've enjoyed my visits. I brought my puppy German shepherd and she had a great time meeting other doggies there. They have two resident cats who are friendly and approachable. My daughter had fun meeting the kitties. This is now our new fav place. We'll be visiting again very soon! read more

Great staff, very friendly and helpful. They all seem to love animals. We have one rescue dog that has huge aggressive fear issues and everyone there is great with her. The groomers here (at least those who work during the week - I can't speak for those who work weekends) are pretty consistent and high quality. I have a miniature poodle that requires specific grooming and I have rarely been dissatisfied with the grooming here, unlike many other places in Ottawa that I have tried. I recommend Amber especially. read more
