If you want to buy fish, or live plants avoid this place…read more Been testing them for over a year now, everything I purchase out of their tanks is diseased and infected including their plants. You want to buy dead or soon to be dead fish, get yours from this cesspool. Most of the staff are rude and entitled and do not fear any consequence for destroying their employers business. When you tell them you want to buy a fish, they hate it, seem bothered by the act of needing to catch a fish, and they will act rude to ensure you never come back as a fishkeeper. Their tanks are disgusting, they never clean the gravel, no wonder their entire rack system is infected and has been continuously for over a year. Save your money.

They also offered us great deals on food and supplies. It's been two years since we adopted our sweet boy and I am forever grateful for the part they played in his rescue.

I am 65 in good health, with no infirmities, but that aside, helping customers with heavy goods should be SOP. It is not. The last time I was there a twenty something male watched me carry the bags to the counter, then watched as I loaded my cart. Just I was putting the last bag in the cart he asked, "Do you want a hand with that?" "Not at this point no." Other than that they are reasonably good and will answer questions. They also stopped taking cats for adoption. I asked why and was told, "It's too much trouble".

The lady (owner, I think?) was extremely helpful in picking out toys that are both fun and durable for my power chewer. One of the toys even came with a lifetime guarantee so that when (...and it will only be a matter of time with my determined doggo) he finally destroyed it, they will replace it with a new one. Nice selection, great service. I will definitely be back.

Every time I'm at the St. Laurent mall I come into this pet store and freak people out by talking to the dogs like they are babies. The staff have always been really friendly and helpful, they give good advice and seem to know the store pretty well. They have a reasonable return policy and I had to return a cat carrier here once and it was very simple, they returned it even though we put my cat in it for a few minutes. They always have the cutest little puppies for sale, they cost A LOT, but I made sure to ask and they purchase them from reputable breeders and are against puppy mills. So please make sure you know where your furry friends are coming from! Don't support puppy mills! The puppies always seem happy and playful, which is a good sign when buying a puppy. Tip: If you pretend you're buying a puppy they let you hold them and snuggle them. Yeah I told you I love dogs...

I requested that I be called once the paperwork was available and I never heard back from anyone. I was refused contact with the manager and the staff was mixed (some helpful and nice, some not - they also don't seem to be well trained). I walked past the store today and the kitten is still sitting in her cage, unsold. I've never been to a pet store who refused to give me papers for a pet that I was ready to pay for then and there. Ridiculous. The smell in this store isn't the only thing that won't have me coming back.

I also noted that those asking questions about the puppies on the store's facebook page had their comments deleted and were banned. A huge red flag for me. Given the number of pet stores in the city which sell the same product lines, support rescues and shelters and are open to answering client questions about their suppliers, I will be shopping elsewhere.
