We told the assistant manager, who was apologetic and told us she would remove both meals from our bill. We trusted that and didn't push further, assuming it would be handled. The bill arrived with only $5 taken off. When I brought this back to the same assistant manager, we were told the most they could do was 10%. No explanation, no escalation, no offer of a replacement meal or even a gesture of goodwill while we sat there having eaten virtually nothing. We paid nearly $90 where one person in our family ate. The fish was inedible, a manager's word was not honored, and we left hungry. To be fair, our waitress was attentive and kind. The rest of our table enjoyed their meals without any complaints. I understand that kitchen mistakes happen -- that's not the issue. The issue is how it was handled. A simple follow-through on what was promised would have gone a long way.
