I recorded to try a burger since I don't each them often. I got the RKA Rodeo Burger with French fries. The burger is topped with pepper jack cheese, onion rings, bacon and bbq sauce .... WOWZA!!!! The brother came out hot, Fresh and very tasty I loved the cheese combo and onion rings topping. The fries were fresh, hot and crispy. The serving was quite generous as well. The owner was friendly and fast with his service. I highly recommend you check out Flagship and Triple D's, they won't disappoint!

The servers were friendly and the food was flavorful, fresh to order and came out piping hot. Everything came out at the same time for the table waited less than 10 mins for the food to arrive. The place was clean and definitely gave like school sports bar vibes. The owner was friendly and even helped out his staff when the line was getting a little long, which is a sign of a true leader! My only critique is that they need thicker napkins for the table as my party used maybe the entire supply from the table. You definitely get what you pay for here! I will be eating here anytime I'm in Erie! 10/10!

We were welcomed inside like old friends stopping in for a chat. The menu boards were nice and big making it easy for me to read the large, simple font menu. The decor was very interesting and pay homage to several interests from the Pulp Fiction movie to the Oakland Raiders. We both loved the nostalgic ambiance and the conversation with two of the employees as we waited for our order. We ended up sitting down at a table to eat our food. My hubby got the Big Smash burger with a large fries on the side. I had the birria tacos which were larger than I expected. I could only finish one taco. And, I barely got one bite to taste my hubby's burger. He ate it so fast and said it was so good "...give them a 5 stars from me!" I snapped the one photo before he started digging in. Haha. On my way to pick up the order on Monday morning...at 11 AM...DoorDash sent me a text cancelling my order...stating the restaurant was unable to fulfill the order. I immediately called the restaurant and showed up around 11:20 (which was to be for the 11:35 pick-up). The restaurant had never even received the order to make the decision whether or not the restaurant was able to fulfill it!! SHANE and NINA at the Erie location WERE AMAZING!!! They led their team and fulfilled my complete order in 30 minutes--AND helped me carry it to my car!! They truly saved my day...and lunch for 28 people who were waiting!!! I typically don't hit too many chain restaurants but it made sense for us with my daughter. Always enjoyed the food, for sure. We both had great meals, service was perfect, and everything was clean. So pretty much any place that offers a different option is going to interest me. Add to that the fact that my sweetie loves fish with a passion that knows no bounds (and that very few fast food places even offer fish burgers, let alone actual fish and chips), and the concept sounds like a winner coming out of the gate. Unfortunately, Long John Silver's doesn't seem to be very successful. I would expect locations to be popping up everywhere, but even the ones we manage to find keep on disappearing. But this location in Erie has survived (so far, anyway). So when we were in Erie, I made sure to check it out. This review is based on that single visit, so what went right that one time may not necessarily go right every time. (Deep frying anything is hard to get right. I've been to any number of places where the fries are over- [or under-]cooked, and with the number of different sizes of items that Long John Silver's offers [not just fish, chicken, and shrimp, but hush puppies, popcorn shrimp, clam strips, crab cakes, waffle fries, etc.], the chances to over- or under-cook something must abound. I wouldn't want to have to train the kitchen staff.) On that day, what I ordered (fish, shrimp, and waffle fries) was all cooked properly. The cocktail sauce that came with the shrimp wasn't the best I've ever had, but it was far from the worst. My sweetie and the offspring enjoyed theirs, too. Getting mushy peas as a side was too much to hope for, because Long John Silver's shows no sign of taking any inspiration from the "chippies" that used to be the standard places to get takeout in the UK. (They do at least offer malt vinegar on demand, but like most fast food places that offer fish at all, they also offer tartar sauce, which is an abomination, kind of by default. Me, I tend to put ketchup or chili sauce on my fish, and vinegar, salt, and pepper on my chips.) Sadly, Erie is far enough outside our normal stomping grounds that Long John Silver's is probably going to remain a very occasional treat.

The young people behind the counter, well, I will chalk this up to youth and inexperience. Don't get me wrong. The guy that waited on me was a nice enough guy, but he was a little too familiar. I don't really care for being called boss or big guy, but I get it. It's his way of trying to be light-hearted and personal. Just didn't work for me. The food came out in record time, and was fresh and hot. The fries were even hot and that is always a plus. In my book. I had the cheesesteak sandwich which was pretty decent. Having had real cheesesteaks in Philadelphia, I know a thing or two about cheesesteaks. This was a close third or 4th, but it was completely tasty. That orange dream shake is amazing. I'm glad they didn't have a 32 oz size. Otherwise I wouldn't need a stretch pants. Bottom line? This was a decent Arby's and it served its purpose. Well. If we could get the staff to get up to Chick-fil-A standards, this place would be five stars no doubt.
