I looked at the photo they had with the caramel drizzled over the concoction and it looked lovely. We ordered and were given a plastic number so we went and sat down at a table. They have booths and tables with QR codes at each so you can order right from there. In about 10 minutes the order arrived to the table from a very friendly young lady. The family quickly scarfed down some slightly squished looking burgers, nicer looking chicken sandwiches, pale fries, cheese curds, and seemed happy overall. I was handed what looked like a vanilla shake. I tried it. It was soupy and easy to suck through a straw. It just tasted like a caramel milkshake. This is not what I ordered. It was my one thing and it wasn't great. I sat there and drank it though- Mostly because I was boxed in with the seating arrangement. I scanned the QR code at the table and placed another order for concrete mixers for the family when they were done with their meal. I offered to go up and get them, and the family moved around to let me out of the corner. I told the staff what happened with my concrete mixer. They offered condolences, but other than that they didn't really care. I watched as the girl making them for drive thru orders whipped them into a pureed consistency. I pointed out that's not what the sign showed and asked that they get someone else to make them for my family. They did and my family was happy. I paid about $100 between the two orders for 3 people and I got one truly disappointing milkshake. I told my family I don't want to come back here. I hope I don't have to in the future. It was not a good experience and when they get it wrong, they don't make it right.

The price is good and I like the dark chicken, pickles and garlic. I wish there was a little more garlic, but it was still excellent. This was my first time trying the Detroit Shawarma. I got it with white meat chicken instead of dark. The white meat is dry, so I would probably go with the dark meat next time. I had it topped with garlic, lettuce, pickles and pickled cabbage. This was okay, but the Dearborn will continue to be my go-to.

Do they get lost often? It would appear that they do. Surcharge for delivery is minimal and sometimes it pays to have it delivered versus pick up. There do happen to be nights when I just want a pizza and a side of bread sticks, but I just do not want to get in the car to go get it. That's what delivery is for. My pizza orders have never taken more than 15-20 minutes for pickup. It's always ready when I show up. I like the flavored crusts, so many different varieties to try, but the butter and cheese are my preferences. It's a decent quality pizza and it's always served piping hot from the oven. I know it's a basic fast food pizza, but it is better than a lot of others. I've had Hungry Howie's pizza from this location the most often, but the ones I've had from other storefronts are also good, but this is my preferred HH. The side bread sticks are good, too, but I'm not totally crazy about them. They go well with the pizza, though. The basic side order with dipping sauces is big enough for us. As fast food pizza goes, it is pretty good and economical. I don't think I've spent more than $18 here for pizza(s) and a side order of bread. Occasionally, with specials, I think we didn't pay over $12. The store always looks clean every time I've picked my order up, so I can't complain about cleanliness.

The marinara sauce is very nice. The staff are nice enough. Now for everything else. First thing one will notice is that the owners need to invest in their building. It is very late 70s mobile home vibes. It is grungy. It does not smell good. Age and grime coats the walls, fixtures, furnishings, and carpet. Nothing is updated or even just in good condition. The wait can be unbelievably long - not because there are no tables available, but because they run out of clean dishes. And while you wait forever, you are uncomfortably sitting in a strange, dark little room on a cheap outdoor bench, or you are standing right in the middle of the entry/exit point. The salad (like everywhere across the Midwest) is plain old iceberg lettuce with a scattering of cucumber slices, cherry tomatoes, and canned black olives and a bunch of shredded cheese if you don't ask them for no cheese. The dressings are not very inspiring. Or tasty. The food is of the hit or miss variety, I guess. The first time I played it safe with a simple spaghetti and marinara. The pasta was adequately cooked and in a large portion. The marinara, again, was very tasty. Others in my party had similar comments about their choices. The second time I went I decided to try the portobello ravioli. That was not a good choice. I ate 1/2 of 1 ravioli and took the rest to see if my garbage disposal of a husband (he will eat almost anything without complaint) would eat it. He stuffed a whole ravioli in his mouth and that was the end of that. The rest fed the bin. First, it was absolutely drowned in an Alfredo sauce that did not seem to be a fresh, housemade product (which it should always be because it is not difficult at all and would be a huge upgrade). The pasta was slightly undercooked, and the filling was more ricotta than mushroom. For a mushroom lover ordering mushroom ravioli...my expectations were high. Anyway. I'll go try the pizza. Hope it's good. Other reviews mention this place isn't worth takeout, which is why I returned to dine in at all.

We even mentioned that she should be appointed to train other staff, only to find out that she had just stepped into that exact role. That actually came as no surprise at all.
