Pretty poor quality for the price and the hype. I had the Wagyu Burger, ordered medium, with the parmesan fries. The burger basically came out charred well done. Parts of it were immensely dry and overcooked. It did have a nice sauce on it, though, to compensate. The Parmesan fries looked like they grabbed 3 shreds of cheese from an HEB shredded cheese bag and threw it on top of frozen fries. The service was surprisingly slow given how few people were there. There was maybe 3 tables seated inside and one outside. We came in at 11:30am on a Thursday and had to ask for the ticket to ensure we could get out in time. Overall, a disappointing experience and price for a restaurant that was hyped up. read more

Called the week before to make reservations. Couldn't find anywhere online that offered to set up reservation. When we arrived to hostess quickly greeted us and took us to our table. The decor was very pretty. Also lighting was great, enough to see but not super bright which can ruin dinner night out. Our waitress was quick to come introduce herself and take drink order while setting us up with water. We ordered two different glasses of wine and it took a while before they came. We had the crab appetizer which was average. For our entrees we went with Chicken and Steak. Then we waited and waited. They had the whole place fully booked and over flowing with people. Either they took to many reservations or just let way too many other tables be seated! When our meal finally came out my meal was cold and the other entree was barely warm. Steak had no flavor and the chicken was overcooked and very salty. The concept of this place is amazing but execution needs lots of work. Hope they figure it out but I doubt we will be back for those prices and service. I came here with a group recently after they opened. We had reservations so we were seated immediately. The inside is very cute! Our waiter was attentive and friendly. We tried the deviled eggs and the crispy tuna rice cakes that were unbelievable! I ordered the filet with broccoli and Mac n cheese to split. My steak was cooked right and the meat quality was very good. The Mac n cheese was very good as well. We got the Texas cheesecake for dessert which is not your typical cheesecake and was great for sharing. I would come back here again! read more

We went in for lunch. The restaurant right next door was packed and this one was not, which was a sign. They only served brunch with limited choices. We ordered our brunch and proceeded to wait well over an hour (we had French toast, the egg plate, a burger and the chicken plate). We did not order anything that should require an hour, especially since we were one of two tables. We hardly ever saw our server and one side of the table finished their food before the other side got theirs. The food was like the menu...boring. This place is easy to avoid. Clear the next 3 hours of your schedule because service is SLOW. We walked in for dinner and were the only ones in the restaurant, and yet somehow our food took about 1.5 hours to come out. In that time, we were given lukewarm drinks and appetizers that aren't even worth writing about. That brings me to the main entrees. My husband ordered the filet mignon and it was about half the size of his palm. Took him like 5 minutes to eat it. For $55, that's absolutely ridiculous. It was also overcooked and had little to no salt. Every single entree was incredibly mediocre, which shouldn't be the case if it took almost 2 hours to make. It tasted like a spicy, vegan, sweet-potato patty or something... detected ZERO seafood flavor or texture in that dish. Lobster roll had flavor, but was under-whelming for $33 or whatever it was. Went to this place last night and we were very underwhelmed. We started off with the deviled eggs which weren't terrible, but not delicious either. They did coke out really fast- even beat my drink by 10 minutes. I had one of the signature cocktails with lavender in it which was really good. My boyfriend had an Old Fashioned that was really good as well. My drink took about 20 minutes to get from the bar, but his came out quickly. Our server seemed really busy and I had to ask her eventually to put in our food order. There were several servers working and the place is tiny so I could only count 3 total tables that she had (all 2 tops). She was in the back of the restaurant a lot. She condescendingly thanked me for my patience when I asked if we could order our food- we had been there about 30 minutes at this point and we were very hungry. I ordered the scallops and my boyfriend ordered a filet, baked potato, and the lobster Mac and cheese. I was really looking forward to this. I lost track of how long it took us to get our food, but it was almost an hour. I understand fine dining takes time, but that's ridiculous. My scallop plate was supposed to have a pea purée aside a mushroom risotto. The peas were mixed in with my risotto with some mushrooms thrown on top. My risotto was green. Not at all like the other pictures I've seen. It has a red pepper sauce on top that I had to scrape off because it made the dish even worse. The scallops were seared on one side only without consistency. One was only seared halfway on one side. The steak tasted like it had no seasoning and the baked potato was runny on the inside. The lobster Mac was good but there were pieces of unmelted cheese in it that could have helped make it creamier. My second drink wasn't even purple and barely tasted like lavender. Our bill for the food and a few drinks was $250 before the tip. We would have gladly paid that for a delicious meal, but it was like a slap in the face after what we were served. The server even asked us if our food tasted ok after we got it to which I replied, "Not really," and she said ok and walked off. Two different managers asked if we were ok because I'm assuming we didn't look pleased and they didn't care to hear it either. Did I mention that our reservation was at 6:30 and we didn't leave until almost 9?! The seating in this place is too crowded as well. I felt like we were sitting with the people around us instead of finally getting a date night alone. Also, it will be nice to have an open restaurant when it cools down, but all it did was make it hot and let in sooooo many flies. We were swatting at them the whole meal. This review is to be constructive as I just wanted a nice place to eat here in town. I just moved back here and all we wanted was a nice date night after having recently having a baby. It's so disappointing that even for all that money, we still can't get a nice fine restaurant here. read more

Had a reservation at 9:45, told us it would be 15 minutes. 30 minutes later we decide to just get bar seats. Bartenders greet us tell us we can get full menu service. Never talk to us after that, ask about drinks for us; they said "yes we can make that" then walk off. 10 minutes later greet another couple and instantly get them waters and drink orders. We set a reservation the day prior to our reservation and I was contacted the morning of to confirm I would be there. Upon sitting in my reserved table I waited 22 minutes before an employee spoke to me and finally brought water, despite how impatient we must have looked as we made eye contact with several employees that did not appear to be busy. We eventually were helped and just ordered the bread service as an appetizer, it was good. I also ordered the 'Sour Flowers' drink and was impressed. My wife had the petite filet and I had the cowboy ribeye. They were fantastic, arguably the best steak you can get in Midland. The lobster Mac was pretty good too, so we left full and unable to eat dessert. After receiving our check we also waited over 10 minutes for someone to take my card so we could leave. Overall, the food was amazing and worth it. The restaurant itself is very cramped and has too many tables in it - you are about 1 foot away from the tables beside you. We made a reservation, the restaurant then called to move the reservation by 30 min. No problem. A few minutes later they call back to ask if we can sit at the bar or outside. Why allow the reservation in the first place? All to just ask for a modification then only to have to call back yet again to make a customer accommodate the restaurant a second time. Anyone who prefers chain restaurants, over actual quality independent restaurants is delusional. You pay for quality. A steak from Walmart is going to be cheaper than one from Midland Meat Market. A great addition to the downtown area. The drinks and food were great. They did a great job with the renovation. It looks awesome. What stood out was the staff, to be honest. If i could give zero stars i would. ordered appetizer and drinks. Appetizers came out before the drinks. Lady next to us had been there 45 minutes waiting on a salad. We should of taken that as a red flag ordered our apps and left. but we wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt they were a Moderately busy (no more than a normal busy night) finished our appetizers and finally received our drinks $15 old fashioned and a $22 titos drink both mediocre at best. About an hour had passed with no food restaurant is now not busy at all we ordered another round a drinks and it took 30 minutes for that round of drinks to come out. At this point we've been at the restaurant for an hour and 1/2 when our entrees finally arrive. Lobster roll on the menu mentions dill, tarragon, lemon aoli and Parmesan fries When we got it, it was Sysco fries no Parmesan and a dry roll with cheap steamed lobster no garnish later got sauce on the side. We got the braised short rib with poblano Mac and cheese. short rib was dry?? Not sure how you braised meat for "12 hours" and it comes out dry. Mac and cheese was inedible tasted like barely sauced noodles and the little sauce that was on it tasted burnt. On top of that all our food was cold and just looked gross. After receiving a $200 check we are Happy to say we will never be back. read more

Wow what a disappointment. I dinned here a few months ago and everything was great even left a five star review. Went for brunch today and it was not worth our time or money. The restaurant was empty outside of on other party, the server kept our waters filled and was pleasant but that's about it. When asked questions about the menu she did not know the answers, we ordered the oysters and asked when they were caught the kitchen said on the 12th...so much for fresh. The eggs Benedict were ehh lobster was very "fishy" so not fresh. Our friends both got potatoes and many were black they were so overly roasted. Just a bummer to see such potential wasted. read more

This was a wonderful boutique hideaway right downtown Midland. The ambiance was a little New York and a little Paris. Adorable. The food was delicious and the presentation was so nice. Unfortunately I did not have my phone. Our server suggested a wonderful drink and she was so sweet, knowledgeable and attentive. It is totally wrong to give a customer something other than what they order, and then charge them for a DOuBLE because "all of their drinks are doubles." 4 drinks, $90 later, we know that what we ordered should be around $12 each...and you know you are ripping people off. Thanks for the $7 cash refund between the two liquors that we didn't order, and didn't want a double. This is an insult. You should have handled this completely different, but what makes it worse is that you do this all over he time and just get away with it. Horrible business practices. I never leave bad reviews, but this was quite literally the worst (and most expensive) dining experience I've ever had. The only positive thing I have to say about this place is that it is gorgeous and our waitress was sweet. The food was sub-par and way overpriced for the quality, the drinks were decent, but took 20-30 minutes to get to our table every time we ordered one. We were there for 2 hours, not by choice, just waiting on food and drinks. Oh and our ticket for 4 people (one of which only ordered a side), plus 2 drinks each was over $500. read more

Pretty brutal service! Nothing arrived at the same time. Took an hour and twenty minutes to receive all the cocktails our table. Did not get any explanation or apology for the sub par service. I ordered the lobster tacos as an appi and the short ribs for a main. My husband ordered the somosa's everything was just okay, nothing I would return for.
