Tempura Shrimp Roll: An absolute highlight at just $11. They added broken tempura pieces to the outside, giving it an remarkably delicious, delightful crunch. Outstanding value and flavor. Craft Cocktails & Details: The cucumber and gin drink was crisp and delicious. We also appreciated the generous portions of wasabi and house-style white ginger (which is far better quality than the dyed pink variety). Areas for Improvement Sodium Sensitivity: The zucchini appetizer was good but noticeably salty. My husband limits sodium for medical reasons, and while staff confirmed the soy sauce was low sodium, it tasted quite high in sodium to us. Extra transparency or true low-sodium options would be helpful for guests with health restrictions. Ambiance & Space: The space is quite small. food i'd seen a menu…read morefor the restaurant on the fridge of, and was initially going there with the intention of getting a sushi roll by itself, since the location is the only bill & ruth location i know in tulsa that serves sushi. however, when i'd approached the restaurant and seen submarine sandwich advertised on the storefront sign, i decided both a sushi roll and sub sandwich were needed for the complete restaurant experience. having perused the menu before going to the restaurant, i'd already decided what kind of sushi roll i wanted, the ou roll, which features crab, rice, seaweed wrap, and two decadent but light sauces, and was served with wasabi, sliced ginger, and soy sauce on the side. i'd mixed the wasabi and ginger together with the soy sauce for a balanced dip to keep the sauces already on the roll as the primary taste. and both the topping mixture and sushi roll sauces complemented and accentuated the flavor of the sushi roll amazingly. also, the turkey and cheese sandwich i requested along with the sushi roll was really tasty too, filled with meat, cheese, tomato, lettuce, and sauce, and reminiscent of the jimmy john sandwich i usually get. additionally, i'd got iced tea with the meal, which turned out to be unsweetened, a variety i prefer less than sweet, but i did not mind as much as usual, because the neutral tea taste also helped allow in keeping the sushi and the sandwich the main focuses of the meal. service the worker who received the order request was kind and polite, also ensuring i knew the ou roll is not a fried sushi roll, and delivering the meal tray and plate as well as condiments, with excellent customer service. further, the worker who prepared the sushi at the sushi bar displayed superb culinary skill, as evidenced by the meal presentation, the taste, and the precision i'd witnessed from what i could observe from the preparation process. ambiance the dining area, with plentiful booth seating, and some tables, was simply decorated for the most part, but features more ornate decoration of traditional wave art above the sushi bar and prep station, which looks to me an effective way of highlighting that section, a memorable feature among both sandwich restaurants and sushi restaurants.
