Went here again last night after a so so experience about 6 months ago. It's still so so. Bartender was great and made a good drink. Calamari appetizer was very good. Chunky-style Greek salad was ok. Mains my wife had the salmon , but had to send it back because it was undercooked, despite her asking for it well done. I had the short ribs and while they were cooked well, it had an off-putting sweetness to it. Baklava for dessert was awful. Tasted like it was leftover from the day before. I've been here many years ago and I remember it was a pretty decent place. Decided to celebrate father's day early this year at this restaurant and that was a great decision. The decor is super nice and the restaurant is spacious. The service is excellent. But most importantly the food is superb. My cousin suggested the lamb chop which was grilled to perfection. So tender and juicy and the perfect amount of spice not to overpower the natural flavor of the meat. My brother got the NY strip for his 6 year old daughter. I did not expect a good steak since this is not a steakhouse but I was wrong. It was so flavorful though I think it could be more rare (we asked for medium rare). We all enjoyed it. The plating is also very well done. We made reservation for 5:15 and it was not that busy but by the time we left the parking lot was full. People know where the good food are. I have been wanting to try this place for years and was not disappointed! There was a good crowd for a Friday night and a lot of people seemed to be regulars and knew the staff well. Staff were friendly and helpful. Clean inside with bar seating and lots of table and/or booths. Drinks were poured perfectly. Had a delicious lychee martini. We ordered lots of apps. Everything was fantastic and so beyond fresh. Great, quality ingredients. Greek salad, avocado salad, meatballs, fried calamari, crab cake, and lobster souvlaki were all excellent. Visited for a friends birthday dinner and sat outside to enjoy what turned out to be a gorgeous evening weather wise. Hospitable staff and the space outside while it sits in the parking lot offers an escape from the view of cars with the added panel just above the height of your head making it feels mor me like a little oasis than a seat in the lot haha. The drink menu was expansive and I landed on a cocktail with my name in it haha the Lizatini which was refreshing and impeccably well balanced not too sweet and each element had a place in the vessel no one stealing the show. The rest of the ladies all enjoyed their drinks respectively and shared in my complements of fantastic bar tending. The food was equally stand out: Appetizers: Lithos Chips- 10/10 Ample serving, thinly sliced without being drenched in grease and a perfect shareable dish for 4 Spanakopita 9/10 It was yummy but honestly didn't blow me out of the water and slightly bias since I spent most of the time saving room for the main course Mains: Short ribs 10/10 This isn't my personal review but my friend ate the whole dish and the meat looked like a healthy portion and seemed to be perfectly flaking off with each forkful would definitely try and paired with string beans and fingerling potatoes Chicken souvlaki Seemed like a basic dish but the portions again were huge and the skewers were filled with ample chunks of chicken that seemed to be pretty tender again not my dish but rave reviews from the two who ordered it and left with leftovers. The sides looked yummy too Orzo a La Ouzo 10/10 This was mine. Hands down delicious and when it comes to a piping hot orzo dish you often are left with the conundrum of whether it will be el dente or over cooked. This was hot out the gate and perfectly cooked, sauce was tremendous without drowning the dish and a sampling of fresh feta adding a bit of texture and tartness. The shrimp (about 6) pieces were jumbo sized and I left with a generous portion do lunch the next day. Leftovers did not disappoint! Overall I would say food was 10/10 Service and ambience 10/10 I'm on the fence about the pricing and value, portions are great and execution but $38 for orzo seemed steep, short rib was $40. We went there for special occasion, though we picked this restaurant randomly. One word can describe the whole experience - very mediocre. Considering prices, the food must be much better. The service staff is not trained properly and making mistakes. The atmosphere is nothing special. I read a few reviews before our trip to this place and it sounds like instead of patrons, good reviews were written by the owner himself or his friends. On a whim and out on a date/birthday night dinner, we opted to go here. From the moment we walked in to when we left, the service was impeccable. The place itself had a wonderful upscale ambiance without the stuffiness. Greek influence with lots of fish, seafood and also meat and traditional Greek dishes. They start out by bringing some fresh bread to the table with some items to put on it. We then ordered two apps: Mussels - very good and a little kick. Perfect to dip the bread in as well. Beet salad - very good! For entrees: The wife had the salmon which she enjoyed and I had their flounder special which was stuffed with crab meat. Exceptional! We couldn't leave without dessert so we split a chocolate baklava-ish thing. It was delicious. Full bar with some delicious cocktails. A bit on the expensive side but worth a night out and splurging. I can here for Father's Day and it's definitely a great local place with quality food. We had the oysters which were very fresh and delicious. We also had the tuna tartare and octopus to start. The tartare was solid and the octopus was cooked well. For entrees we had the lamb chops, Branzino, shrimp scampi, and braised short rib. All the dishes were very filling and tasted good. We got three apps, one was lobster - delightful, a crab cake which was good and a portobello mushroom topped with mozz. For lunch I had the scallops with couscous. I did my wedding rehearsal dinner at Lithos and was blown away by the entire experience! Alban was so easy to work with from the start. He is very responsive over email. The family style appetizers were plentiful and delicious. The entrees were fancy and tasted incredible. There were many entree options for my guests to choose from. The restaurant served the food in a very timely manner and the servings were large. The event space was also gorgeous and was closed off from the rest of the restaurant, making our event very private. They also had a microphone for us to use for the speeches. The restaurant also provides beautiful table lighting which creates a romantic vibe to your event. The restaurant is very clean and the food presentation was beautiful. I am very impressed by Alban's character. A few days after my event, Alban realized his server accidentally over-charged me. My husband and I didn't notice, were thrilled with our event, and didn't think twice. Alban reached out to us to refund us the money. I was sincerely impressed by this. Many business owners would have not acted so ethically. Lithos will always have my business. Thank you for everything you have done for me! read more

One of my girlfriends and I got together to get lunch and tried this spot out. When we arrived we parked in their parking area. We walked in and had a warm greeting from Ander one of the servers and he was very nice. The place was very nice. We decided to sit at the bar and was served by the owner and we didn't even know was the owner, Alban. He was very nice, he even gave me an extra pour of the pinot nior I was drinking. My friend ordered a cucumber drink and liked it. For our meals we both got the blackened chicken sandwich and it was very tasty. They used a special honey mustard which was super tasty. There is not too much that could be said about Lithos. We have not been to Lithos for a few years since we did not like its food. We decided to see whether situation has improved. Sadly, the only thing that undergone a very significant improvement are prices. We will not be back for the foreseeable future. BTW, there are only a few spaces where you can park your car. Loved the balance of wood, metal and stones that really brought out the fireplace. Sonny was our server and was very knowledgeable about the wine and food. We ordered a few appetizers- hummus, eggplant and taziki trio, the tuna tartare and lobster rolls. Each item topped the other. We were stuffed. The staff is just incredible. The food is simply clean and delicious. The owner, Alban, stopped by and ensured our dinner was point which it was. Beautiful ambiance and delicious food! I came here for dinner and had a fantastic experience. The service on point- friendly and attentive, and our server provided us with great, honest recommendations. In addition to the complimentary bread, we started with the lobster souvlaki, feta aiginis, and lithos chips. All were excellent. The feta aiginis was my favorite- it was paired with honey and tomato marmalade, and the combination of flavors was SO good! For our main courses, we had the scallops, tuna and rack of lamb. The portion sizes are generous. For sides, we tried the broccoli rabe, Brussel sprouts and Greek fries. None of them were really knock outs for me, especially the Brussel sprouts, which were a bit boring. Given the sizes of the entrees (plus starting off with appetizers), I'd probably skip the sides next time. We finished off with baklava and Feta cheesecake. Both were delicious! The cheesecake had a hint of lemon flavor which I enjoyed. They have a nice selection of bottled wines, and they even brought us over complimentary cordials after dinner! This place is far from inexpensive so I'd recommend for special occasions. read more

Delicious greek food and a beautiful large and fancy restaurant with ample parking to host parties! The service was wonderful and the food was great. I came here as part of a party of ~12 and everyone really enjoyed their food. The Tzatziki, Melitzanosalata, and hummus spreads were tasty and the grilled pita bread was fluffy, fresh, and warm. For my entree, I enjoyed plentiful chicken skewers with rice, a salad, and pita with tzatziki. We also tried several desserts although I can't remember the names - baklava (lots a nuts), an interesting egg custard flan one, and a chocolate dessert. After a a very disappointing birthday dinner at what has been one of my local favorites, I am compelled to offer insight for both yelpers and Lithos management. I have been here over 10 times throughout the years with friends and family alike. Based on my dining experience detailed below, I have no plans to return any time soon. We arrived this past Friday at 8:15pm to a fairly full dining room. The hostess seated us at a nice booth in the front room adjacent to the bar. It took our server nearly 40 minutes to take our drink order. Another 30 minutes later (after he had tended to the foursome next to us-who were clearly very high maintenance-judging by their requests) he got around to taking our order. Side note: our server is someone we have had several times before and has been good, but tonight he seemed overwhelmed and disinterested in providing the quality of service we are accustomed to. Right from the start, we noticed changes-the menu font was different as were some of the offerings---but not in a bad way. Our bread basket was different. The bread came sliced, was not the usual loaf and came with a small dish of olives but no usual spread. For group appetizers, we started with the Lithos chips and Assorted spreads. The zucchini and eggplant arrived on a plate (not in the usual paper cone) and were completely soggy and flavorless. They either weren't properly fried or the batter was just a fail. The spreads were chunky, not the usual luscious hummus we are used to. I make better hummus at home and can purchase better babaganoush at the grocery store. The only highlight here was the accompanying pita triangles. I decided to have the grilled calamari appetizer over a shaved brussel sprout slaw with a side of sautéed bok choy and brussel sprouts. I usually opt for whole grilled fish but wasn't feeling it tonight. In front of us was the fish display on ice and it looked unusually meek. The fish were small, there were no prawns or langoustines--in fact our waiter didn't even describe the special fish that night. It was as if they had the five fish on the menu and that this had become the norm. My husband ordered the pink snapper to be shared with one of our friends. Her husband had a steak dish. The fish arrived Whole which is the way we ordered it but the filet job was terrible. The server turned it over to split it for two. Apparently the fish was cold inside but at this point we were hungry so no one complained. My calamari was rubbery and completely flavorless, and glazed with a clunky lemon aioli that was not nearly the same finessed dish I had come to love. The brussel sprout slaw fell flat and the dish just didn't look very appetizing. The bok choy was soggy, and tasted like lighter fluid. It was oily and very unappealing. The brussel sprouts side was serviceable, but at this point I was just so over the food. When the server arrived to ask how our food was, we literally said "not great" and he grimaced and walked away with no follow up inquiry or effort to remediate. The next time he came around and I asked him point blank if there is a new chef and he said yes, there has been someone new the past few months. He seemed hesitant to admit there was a new chef and offered no other compliments or words to address my question. It was as if he resided to the mediocrity under the new chef. I so wanted to speak to management and let them know how truly disappointed we were, but I didn't have the energy at 10:45. We passed on dessert--there was no way we wanted to stay for coffee or risk another disappointment. (I usually get the fig crusted feta cheesecake which is out of this world, but I just didn't have the appetite) Decided to go back and give this place another chance. We used to really like it and I heard they revamped the menu and have a new chef. Took our 7 year old nieces with us on a Saturday night and it was a very civilized quality dining experience. My one niece has celiac disease and they were so accommodating with ensuring her dishes were gluten free-everything from the Greek salad to the salmon entree to the Greek fries. My husband and I split the calamari special appetizer. It didn't exactly look super appealing and not what I expected which made it all the more noteworthy given how tasty it was. I had the branzini whole fish grilled with Brussel sprouts. Hubby ordered the chicken scarpiello which was really very good. The broccoli rabe side sautéed and mixed deftly with feta was simply delish. Service was on point. One thing I learned, you can call two days in advance and request high end items like the tiger prawns if you know you'll want them ahead of time. Perhaps this is the way they're managing the demand for fresh high quality fish without offering everything all the time. Lithos will go back on my list especially since it's really the only seafood game in town. read more

Ok, so I'm back 5 years later, having dinner with colleagues and this time, it was a good experience. Overall, the waiter was quite pleasant and patient. He explained the dinner specials in detail. I ordered the red snapper special, which was 2 filets on a bed of escarole and surrounded by mussels with a tomato sauce. The fish was very delicate, juicy and mildly seasoned as was the escarole, but played very well with the sauce. The mussels were clean tasting. Good portion size. I had the Greek gin & tonic, which featured lemon, black pepper and rosemary, but I missed out on the peppercorn; not a big deal. Others in my party were quite satisfied with the moussaka, beef short ribs and prawn special (the waiter was not joking when he said they were "big!"). I'll be coming back. read more

My only critique, the bartender was constantly trying to upsell us, which I can appreciate, his tip is bigger and the restaurant makes more revenue, but after I tell you I am a vegetarian three times, please stop telling me about the shrimp and crab cakes. read more

This is one of my favorite restaurants. The food and service are always impeccable. My husband had the organic half chicken. It was moist and flavorful. The crispy skin just topped it off. My son's salmon was cooked to perfection. My chicken souvlaki was grilled with the right amount of char. Lithosphere never disappoints. read more

Came here on a Saturday night at 6pm with my husband and didn't have reservations. The restaurant was pretty empty since it was still early but the staff was unable to seat us at any of the empty tables because there were later reservations. Either way we sat at the bar (there were plenty of seats at this time) the waitress and staff working in the bar area were incredibly helpful, they gave recommendations and we ended up ordering off of the specials for the night. Over all the ambience was great and we loved our food. We would def return (with a reservation next time). I recommend this place for a date/special occasion (wouldn't recommend for young children). Lithos used to be our favorite restaurant, but we haven't been there for a while. Last week we went for dinner and, unfortunately, it was a disappointment. Everything from service - to food - to cocktails became much less quality. Cocktails were not tasty, the only good thing about them was a decent amount of alcohol. The food was so-so, the same dishes that we ordered before were not as good. They used to have an impeccable service, but this time everything from refusing to accommodate table that we wanted, when restaurant was only 30% full, to an impatient waiter was a disappointment. The bill for 2 was over $135 before tip. We can easily find a better place to spend our money. Sorry, not recommended anymore. read more
