Overpriced, not a good selection, odd setup and poor customer service. I still ended up at the Bottle King nearby. Skip it.

I started going to Wine Legend recently because I was getting bored with the same wines at Bottle King. They recently redid the store, but it still needs like it needs some work and a little warmth. Needless to say, while some prices are more expensive than Bottle King, others are way cheaper. The owner was very helpful when I needed some red wine recommendations and even gave us a discount on a case, which I believe it the norm. They have a loyalty program, though no one told us about it when we started buying here, where you spend $500 and get a $10 credit, which won't be hard for us since we drink a lot :) Make sure to give your name when you make a purchase! There are no more wine tastings, I assume because of COVID, but they are now offering free delivery and curbside pick up which is a bonus. read more

They advertised in the neighboring fitness centers that they had the brand 'FitVine' but for almost three weeks now they have yet to stock the pino grigio. I came here yesterday to buy a few bottles of wine for dinner and the attendant seemed to be frustrated with my question. I already had two different bottles and liquor in my cart, so I was clearly going to make a purchase regardless if they had the bottle or not, but he seemed to get upset with me on a Friday afternoon when the store was no where near busy. Then proceeded to rush me out of the store. I'm willing to give them another chance since it is in a semi-convenient area but consider the neighboring bottle king as well. read more

I first found wine legend because I was searching for a place that sold a particular malbec that my wife and I had tried before and really really enjoyed. Well, not only did I find out that Wine Legend had it, but they also sold it for one of the lowest prices in the nation. Huge plus. As a result, I've been coming back fairly frequently (well, as frequently as I can afford), and enjoying their email newsletter and deals. They also have a small selection of belgian beers, which I have to say rivals my liking for wine. I only wished that their selection of the belgian beers would be larger. They had a decent selection of liquors and you can just stand in front of their row of whiskeys like a deer in headlights, not know which one to pick. I'm VERY impressed with their wine selections. They have everything anyone could possible need. But what really impressed me was their stock of hard to find items. Sailor Jerry spiced rum is not easy to find. Normally I have to order it on line. If you like spiced rum, Sailor Jerry is the best! If you smell the open bottle you will notice hints of cherry. Needless to say, it goes great with coke! They also stock Vox vodka. Another hard to find spirit. Very smooth! So I'll be back just for those two items alone. For years now, Wine Legend had been our favorite liquor store in the area. Not only is the selection very good (we primarily purchase wine), but we have developed a good relationship with the people employed there, from the proprietors to the folks who check us out at the cash registers. Our favorite thing about Wine Legend is the man we call our Sommelier, Mike, whom we followed to Wine Legend years ago from another liquor store in the area. I have been dealing with the owners and the nice employees for 13 years. Whether you spend 9.99 or 129.99 I always feel they're taking care of me. With both price and service being exceptional. Why ever go anywhere else and they deliver for free. Nice supporting a truly local business who handles themselves with great sophistication. They just never steer you wrong. read more

An interesting concept. With the right peeps it could be a fun evening. There's an attractive "restaurant" area within the liquor store. It's an ever-changing menu of small plates by Chef Bryan Gregg, former chef/owner Escape, Montclair. The wine set-up is also designed to be tasting with 2 & 4 ounce pours. Bottles are available too. There are also a limited selection of hard liquors to taste. On our visit we only had wine but we'll definitely go back to try the food. read more

This is the first time we have bought wine from this company. Being that we are in California, we sadly don't have the ability to buy wine from the physical store itself. So we ordered 2 cases of Bartenura Moscato over the web. We received the wine in just a few days and at a very excellent price. And when I opened the boxes, I found all the wine bottles were packed as if they were going into a war zone. I've been going to Wine Legend for years. The staff & owner are very friendly & helpful. They don't have a bunch of load, goofing around kids working there. Their prices are also usually lower than Bottle King across the street, in some cases significantly. read more

I recently purchased a groupon for a case of wine from Wine Legend. I guess I should not be surprised at the old bait-and-switch where they were out of the wine that was advertised.
