But today I had to fix a plumbing issue and needed expert help. I took pictures of my plumbing issue on my phone and went to Ace with the hope that I could show the pictures to someone and they could help, not expecting much though. I found the first employee and shared my pictures and issue to her and she sent me to their "resident plumber." Wow! This guy knew exactly what I needed to fix my problem. From the pictures I showed him he diagnosed my problem and showed me the parts I needed to fix it until I can get a plumber to ultimately fix the issue. This guy was an expert. And Ace had what I needed. Then I went over to look at the yard items and found a small bird feeder. A staff member saw me looking at the feeder and voluntarily told me that most of the feeders and related items were located at another location in the store and pointed me in the direction. She didn't have to do that but I'm glad she did because I would have not known about the location.

I needed a piece of wood cut to 26", they sent me to the service counter, (which is in the back of the store...most inconvenient for those of us who have difficulty walking), and after waiting 10 minutes to be helped, a very kind young man told me that they don't provide that service. At a hardware store? The employees are friendly and capable, but it's no longer the same place it was in the past. I miss the old Dunn Hardware store.

There are many businesses that sell sheds in the area, but Bennett's was the only one that would build on site with a metal roof for a reasonable price. I requested a custom 12' x 15' salt box shed with an oversized door and a few other upgrades. The upgrades didn't really cost much and I think they will be worth it. Wood was overpriced during the COVID-19 pandemic. Now that wood prices are returning to normal, shed prices are also returning to normal. I felt like it was a good time to buy. The employee who sold me the shed really knew her stuff. In addition to selling sheds, Bennett's also sells outdoor furniture and basketball hoops. They also have a toy store with an extensive selection of quality toys. They also have a dog boarding kennel and they offer pet grooming. They really have a diverse, family owned business and I'm happy to be a customer. I'll be visiting again for some outdoor furniture!

Every single time- the employees are always so friendly & helpful to answer any question we have!! On today's visit Melissa & Greg both went above and beyond to help us look for a specific product my saw on the Ace App. My husband had done extensive research for a brand specific product based on consumer reports, reviews etc. When we didn't see the product on the shelves, Mellisa offered to looked their back stock inventory. (Unfortunately the computer system said the didn't have any in stock) However, Greg went above and beyond & offered to search the back in person! He came back with the exact size combo product we were looking for! It truly made our day as we could keep the home project ball rolling! I was lucky enough to get one shipped from the Erie PA store. It was the very last one available. Due to the pandemic all liners are on back order for months. Mike and our private installer took the old one out and prepped for new one last night. Guess what? Wrong liner. We have a 15 ft 52 in over lay. This mgr ordered 15 ft 54 in unibead. So I go up to store right when they opened today. He first said Sheffield store had one. Cool. I could go pick it up. Then he says someone returned your exact type last night. Wrong size for them. The box was sealed so I never gave it a second thought. I opened it about 5 hours later to find a used liner. Rolled up with sand all over it. Went to store. Was told Avon no longer had it. I called the regional mgr. All he could do was offer refund AND made it seem like him telling us to keep this used liner was a perk. Like my installer said how do we even know it's the liner that came in the box. Now I have to hope and pray my pool doesn't blow across my yard with all these winds and storms. I did order one from somewhere my installer recommended online. It's on back order. I have this beautiful deck and no pool. Just walls, rails, and sand.

There is a reason he is usually a week or so out on work......people are willing to wait for his quality.
