This is not the place I remembered. I used to come here periodically to get a cheap and healthier lunch from a sweet older Greek couple. I ordered a gyro lunch plate. It was $17. The lunch promotion just means you get a drink, but the drinks didn't taste very good. The meat is tender, but not seasoned as well as it used to be. The rice was okay. The service was friendly. The music was nice, but not Greek and a lot of the store items have changed. read more

My husband and I discovered this amazing little Mediterranean restaurant and market today! We loved it! The food is authentic, homemade, and delicious! We had the shawarma chicken and shawarma beef plates with Mediterranean rice and a gyro with chips!! Every bite was tender and perfectly seasoned! The owner treated us to a sample of pistachio baklava which melted in my mouth and Turkish coffee which we really enjoyed! We highly recommend this restaurant and will definitely be back! read more

My first time eating here since the restaurant changed owners. Wow, so different now, and the food was very good. The restaurant was clean and inviting with Mediterranean style music in the background. The owners were very welcoming and assisted with choices from the menu. The option for a salad versus chips with my Kafta sandwich was appreciated. My husband had the Chicken Tawook plate. The chicken was tender and tasty. He also opted for the salad instead of rice for his plate. In the back of the restaurant is a small area with spices, oils and foods for sale. We will definitely visit again for lunch in the future. I want to try their soups. We are also going to recommend this restaurant to a friend who will find many vegetarian options there. read more

Easily one of my favorite local places to eat a definitely a must try! The staff is so friendly and always smiling. If you are ready to emerse yourself into the flavors of Mediterranean cuisine this place is the place to try, everything I've tried is a new experience. My personal favorite is the cheese pocket; it is so simple yet the perfect cheesy to-go meal. (Another good choice is the Shwarma ). I could go on but really you just need to try it for yourself, It's a hidden gem that I just can't gatekeeper any longer. Get over there NOW! read more

Ordered takeout through Favor last night. Ordered the baba ganoush which was by far the best thing! The falafel dinner was good, I wish they'd give you more tahini. I've had more flavorful falafel but for Lubbock I'm sure it's standard. Also ordered a chicken gyro which came deconstructed and it only had chicken, feta, and pita. Both meals came with a side salad. I've never seen a gyro like this, maybe it's because it was takeout??‍ read more

When I travel, I prefer to eat at local restaurants. A friend suggested light Brite. Since I am from Mediterranean descent, I readily agreed. I am so glad I did. The owner is a delightful and wonderful man who provided so much love and compassion through his food and service to his customers. My friend and I both ordered gyros, hers with chicken and mine with lamb. They were great. Just the right amount of sauce and meat. The owner went out of his way to provide whatever his favorite dishes when he learned I enjoy the same food. I now understand why this is a Lubbock institution with very dedicated customers. Sometimes I overdo it and put way too much crap in my bowl, but today was not that day: Rice, Grilled Chicken, Roasted Veggies, Pickled Onions, Pickled Cabbage, and their Honey Aleppo sauce. All the ingredients tasted fresh, and I devoured it with no regard for human life. Yum! You've got to try their peach tea and dessert…read more The service was friendly and the restaurant was clean. It was easy to hear. Wait times were very reasonable. The sandwiches were bland, but they have a great serving of meat and each plate includes a dressed salad and chips with dip. The bread was really good. The location could be better, since the restaurant is at the back of KKs. The perimeter of the restaurant does not conceal very much of your view of the booths. I wish there were windows and a better view, but the atmosphere was still fine. The bill was more expensive than I expected, but the food was pretty good and I had a positive experience. I'll come again to order the peach tea and pie, but I will probably try a different entree.

Such a great place for lunch with friends. Attentive staff and delicious food. Highly recommend!read more

No warning from server!!! Took forever to get food and the place had 3 guests. Like no one was caring if we had to wait. So no restaurant in Lubbock not even upscale Las Brisas charges you extra for a tiny cup of sauce or a refill on non alcoholic beverages. Really disturbing. Good luck staying in business ! The food is amazing! I've had falafel and hummus with pita at so many places, and without a doubt Cloud's is the best. The falafel was light and fluffy (not a dense "puck" like other places) and the hummus was served with pita that was warm and soft on the inside, but nicely browned on the outside. YUM! Also, the service was great--attentive and friendly.

This place has the best and most authentic shawarma in lubbock, if you have never had it I would definitely recomend going. The place is a bar so as far as ambiance and everything goes expect it to be a normal college bar, not a restaurant. Service is a little slow but very nice and I would say once you have tried the food nothing else matters.
