Don't hesitate and drop in! Went in for the tour with a friend and the guide is so engaging but also gets all the information across quickly. The seasonal beer here is great because it's all made in small batches and I love that they sell at home brew kits along with their flavor buckets so you can try your hand at it on your own.

Great brewery in Cincinnati. They do all the different beer styles very well. Big open spaces in the brewery and several TVs playing sports.

Sitting down to the wonderful Lager King!

Excellent beer experiences with Listermann! Steve and I were fortunate enough to get three different beers from this wonderful brewery. The first beer we had was their Shamrock Shake. This stout had a wonderful creamy texture and a great coffee flavor. It definitely was a memorable and an excellent beer to start off with from this very fine brewery. Next we kept the beers dark. This time around we had a pastry stout and got the Atlanta Bannana Cabana, 2021. This wasn't my favorite out of the three beers we had but I still thought pretty highly of it. What I did like was the nutty and maple flavors in this beer. The last one we took a lighter route after having two dark beers. We had the Lager King next and I must say this was an excellent lager and I came to the tough decision if I liked the first beer better than the third one. Well, it's okay to have two favorites, right? This light. crisp and crushable lager Steve and I both enjoyed immensely and we had a very hard time not wanting more of it once we were finished but that wasn't meant to be. Excellent brewery and well worth trying out the beers they have to offer.

First time here for me and my Husband was absolutely an enjoyable experience! Bartenders were so helpful, friendly and knowledgeable offered me many options and flavors available to a non drinking beer person. Tried some meads and dessert stouts was pretty impressive i enjoyed almost everything i sampled. The ambiance was right up our alley sitting at the bar having personal conversations with the bartenders. We Will definitely be back great job Listermann Brewing and tickle pickle their burgers and fries were amazing i had the Pearl Jam while my husband had their special Big Miller like a big Mack on steroids and much better of course no comparison (only ingredients description wise) gourmet style and fries were seasoned so well that i didn't even use ketchup! Can't wait to come back!

First, an important aside: they have a Fiona beer, but aren't they forgetting someone? What about... Harambe? #neverforget. I have been to Listermann a few times over the years, and it keeps getting better. I am allergic to gluten, but I have a friend from Texas who begs to come to Listermann for the Nutcase (a peanut butter porter), so we visited again this weekend during his visit to Cincinnati. I am happy to say that they recently added a cider to their list - a pear semi-sweet cider for those that cannot enjoy their beers. Even though I do have the allergy I took the tiniest sip of the following: Friar Bacon, Daphne, XU, Nutcase, Cinnamon Roll Cranium and the "Don't talk Sh!t About Norwood." They were all great - but in some cases very heavy/rich. I think their beers are best enjoyed in small flights since in some instances they have strong, exotic tastes. (I mean, the Cinnamon Roll is even described as a, "pastry stout" --- sounds a bit diabetogenic and tasted intensely spicy...) Overall, I always enjoy Listermann and will return more frequently if I find that the ciders rotate or they expand their wine/ mead offerings (...or once they add that Harambe drink to their menu).

Wife and I stopped in for a drink while on a trip to Cincinnati. I very much enjoyed my dark dark beer flight. My wife had something pink and fruity and enjoyed it as well. The bartender was very friendly and quick with service.

In recent years, Urban Artifact was the must-hit place every time I went to Cincinnati. After hearing about this place(everyone in Louisville is in love with Listermann) for so long, this Cincinnati visit took me there. After dropping my girlfriend off at UC for a test, I had a half-day to kill. Listermann was priority number one but I needed to wait until 10 AM for it to open. I appreciate the early open time. Most to all of the other breweries I checked don't open until 11 AM-Noon. Unlike other popular beer places in the city, it's not in a big church. It's not in a big building in a popular part of town. It sits on a busy road near Xavier University. The building is the common industrial type that we've grown used to in craft beer world. There is the tap area which is more like a small bar. There is also another area with picnic tables, huge garage doors(which are probably awesome in the summer), TVs and a few games. They also had another tap/bar area in the big room. Additionally, there is an onsite restaurant. I checked the menu but didn't order since it was earlier in the day. There had a variety of food that sounded delicious. I tried two flights while here and ended up coming home with quite a few bottles for later. I love that they don't try to bottle in larger bottles. Most of their stuff is in smaller bottles which also means a much smaller price tag for take-home beer. Beers I tried: -- Chickow Cinnamon Roll - Delicious but nowhere near as Cinnamon Rolly as Father Kyle's. -- Don't talk Sh!t About Norwood - I generally don't like pale ales but this one was easily drinkable. -- Cincinnati Style Stout - This was my least favorite of the bunch. Too syrupy. -- Nutcase Peanut Butter Porter - I love pb beers when you can actually taste the peanuts. -- Give me Something to Bake - I was expecting more pastries but all I got was a medicine taste. Drinkable but I only need an ounce or two. -- Father Kyle's Cinnamon Roll Stout - Wow! I'm still amazed by how much this tasted like a cinnamon roll. So much so, that I bought 4 bottles of it to bring home. -- Pocket Treats - A good Triple IPA but it was a little too hoppy for me. -- Operation Flintlock: Peanut Butter - It gets better with every sip. More peanuts. More butter. If this was close by, I'd order it every time. I wish they would've had bottles of this beer. There are plenty of things to love about this brewery. They rely on their beer to speak to you. It's not super fancy. There aren't many other things in the immediate area, and it's simple. I'm also a fan of their artwork. Take a look at the bottles in the case even if you're not buying. In the men's restroom, there are also old labels on one of the walls. I'm not sure if the women's restroom is the same. I only planned to stay there for an hour before moving on to the next brewery but I ended up staying for two. It was a relaxing and carefree experience all around. Even if other breweries remain your favorite, you owe it to yourself to check out Listermann.

Still top of my list of all around favorite beers in the city when it comes to craft breweries. The tap room is a great low key space. The bartenders are always awesome and during my past visit handled a very out of hand customer in a super professional and calm manner, thus saving the day for all bar patrons! I love getting flights here as they always have great new things to try and I. LIKE. THEM. ALL! Plenty of seating at the bar, few small tables in there, lots of fan gear, beer take homes, and growlers to fill. There is a larger room to the other side with games, tvs, and tons of tables. This is also where Renegade grill is located (order and pickup food at their window). Just FYI my all time fave beer here is Nutcase. Love you Listermann!

Chickwow and Hello My Passionfruit Beers
Morgan M.

Came here on a Monday night to grab a drink - arrived just after 7 and was quickly disappointed to find out the bar closed at 8 but still decided to stay for a drink and try this place out. I got the Hello My Passionfruit ($6-$7) which was a Kettle Sour w/ Passionfruit (4.3% ABV) - and as a fan of sours and fruity beets I thought it was REALLY good! Good enough where I wished I could have had another or tried a few more beers - but just means I will have to take another trip here! My boyfirend got the Chickwow! ($6-$7) which was a Double Brown Ale brewed with hazelnuts. It is known for being their well-decorated ale that apparently now has hundreds of variants and imitators (10% ABV) - I am not a fan of dark beers but he really seemed to like it and said he would have also had another / tried some more if time had permitted. Overall I thought the bar was kind of small and it was a tad crowded with a bunch of skiers who must have come in for a drink post a full day of skiing. The bartender was super quick tho and made sure that you got a drink fast - especially with the bar closing within in the hour. Definitely a cool place where I could see myself hanging out, trying a flight of their beers, and possibly grabbing something to eat - another great addition to my Cincinnati Brewery rotation! Ratings on the Morgan Scale: Overall Experience: 7/10 Drink Price: 6/10

Lots of goodies from Renegade Grille! Wings, fries, Belgian waffles, fried mac & cheese balls... And all so delicious!

Listermann is truly one of my top favorite breweries in the Cincinnati area and has been for quite some time. They always have a plethora of incredible beers on tap with a great variety for everyone. No matter your tastes, you're sure to find something you'll enjoy thoroughly. Looking for some tasty bites with your brews? Check our Renegade Grille right inside, serving lots of great grub. From fried mac & cheese balls to Belgian style fries and waffles to burgers and sandwiches and lots more. Their signature item is their wings, cooked to order, and available in a variety of delicious sauces which are baked into the wings. The place itself is very laid back too with lots of seating space both at the bar and in the beer garden area as well as outside. The beertenders are always happy to assist with suggestions and will let you sample before you decide on a pint. Sit back, relax, and enjoy a brew or two! Are you a homebrewer? Check out their wide array of brewing supplies. First time brewer? They have a knowledgeable staff for that too. They'll give you great advice to help you concoct you our beer. With so many reasons to stop by, there's only one question left... Are you there yet? Put Listermann on your "list" and give it a go!

The beer and atmosphere is great and as expected for a craft brewery. Food, not so much but still ok.

They couldn't have done it any better. I'm a long-time Listermann fan, and they hold the bar as far as I'm concerned. Until I stumbled across HBYOB. Literally. A guy my wife works with told her about it, and I put it on the bucket list, but we were walking past a strip mall and I glanced in to see a row of neatly stacked carboys. Best unintentional find ever! Walked in, the fella at the counter acknowledged us, and asked if we needed anything. When we politely declined, he went back to his reading and left us alone - something I truly appreciate. I looked up a few of my favorite recipes and he had everything I ever needed to make any of my ales - even a few tough to get ahold of NZ hops. The process is a little different than Listermann - you tell them how much of what grains you want and they pull and grind for you. Right in front of you, but the grinder faces away from the customer, so no more getting your hands dirty. HBYOB also has fresh kits with some of the more popular recipes, priced around $20, which is about right. They have bottles, tubing, grains, hops, pretty much everything I ever needed/wanted to make beer. I'm definitely a fan, and I'm recommending it to all my friends. Don't get me wrong, I still love my Listermann's, but HBYOB is much closer, and a little easier on the wallet. No restaurant or taproom at HBYOB, but I was only looking for the stuff to make my own.
