a variety of beers

Beer was decent, bartender and patio were top tier. All around experience was great, would definitely recommend.

Friends with beers.

We couldn't be happier with our experience here. They have a lovely patio and provide bowls of water if you bring your dog. The bartender was fantastic the beer was really really delicious and we tried a bunch of them. They were very limited snack menu but everything we had was very good.

The Common Beer is yet another brewery located in Mason. It is so far my least favorite. The beer isn't as good. But it somehow is more expensive. So how does that work? I had the Come Together. It's an ESB. This one was okay but nothing special. It's $6 for a pint. That's average for a craft beer, but they also have several beers for $7, which is ridiculous. As many here have commented, the beers aren't worth that much. The beers are also lacking in flavor and they seem to be off on brewing techniques. Beers seemed to have imperfections. The colors looked kind of weird. I would like to give this another chance. It's because they are still kind of new. They have a chance to succeed if they just take more care in making products.

First visit, we loved it! Very small spot on Main St in Mason, but there's indoor and outdoor seating to claim. Good variety of beers, plus a great guest peach cider from Wilmington you must try! Choose from pints or flights. There's no food here, but I did see a guy order a pizza from the place next door and they brought it over to him. There's board games to play in the back, watch tv, or just enjoy the weather if the windows are open. Trivia is on Tuesday nights at 7, and don't forget to stop by the candy shop next door for some caramel corn! Would return.

We're big fans of the Common Beer Company. My husband loves the beer and they make me delicious old fashions or Kentucky mules. Mark and Becky are both great; very friendly and always recognize us to say hi. The music and food trucks are fantastic; we also love the dog-friendly patios so we can bring the pups with us for drinks!

New brewery in the heart of downtown Mason. It's a beautiful building. You can tell they sunk some bucks in to this place. Roll up garage door style front windows with a small two table patio out front. They have two picnic tables out back and six chairs around a fire pit. Parking is out back with about 25 spaces. They also had a food truck out front and offered soft pretzels at the bar. I sat at the bar. They had six beers to offer. I ordered a pint of the ESB. SEVEN DOLLARS. It is supposed to be crystal clear and malty. Theirs was cloudy and bitter. See the pic. I didn't even drink half of it. They charge $10 for a sampler of 4 beers so I got everything else they had besides the wheat. Here's the sad thing, I didn't care for any of them. They all seemed rushed and flawed. Their blonde was almost dark Amber in color, very little carbonation, and hazy. The hazy IPA was medicinal and had no citrus flavor whatsoever in my opinion which if it was true to style citrus would be dominant. The dark IPA was ok but at this point I was so irritated I left all of it on the bar and walked out. I think people, myself included are tired of paying a premium ($7) for pints of mediocre "craft" beer. I didn't pick up on any love for the craft. It all seemed about the money. Growler fills at $22?!?! GTFOOH!!! There is far too much competition in this space to settle for flawed mediocre beer. I may try them again in six months to see if they have honed in on their process but I dislike their business model so much I doubt I will come back. "Redefining local" What does that mean to you?

Like this place. Friendly bar tenders with great sense of humor. Tables outside in front and beer garden in back. Easy to find on main street in Mason. Lots of parking in back. Interesting and fresh beer choices made on site. Great for watching sports or games on large TVs. Live music on Friday and Saturday with nice relaxed atmosphere.

We tried everything between two flights and really none were good. The Gose wasn't sour and we thought we mixed it up with an IPA, very odd. and the Raz IPA was awful. The most drinkable to the 3 of us was Look Back Saison. Not sure we'd be back, hopefully their beer get better, not sure how new this place is but we usually give some slack and try to revisit. No food served that we saw, board games in the back, limited seating, pretty cozy vibe overall. It was pretty crowded at 5 on Friday!

Cookies and beer, what a brilliant concept

Charming family run business.. This guy knows his beer, and definitely nothing "Common" about the flavor profiles their brewmaster is tinkering with. Had the seasonal "Son of a Nutcracker". Served in a snifter with a cinnamon/nutmeg sprinkle on top.. What a fantastic beer! If you're ever in Mason it's worth stopping by.

Yummy cider!

I really enjoyed the upbeat music that was playing, and it was not too loud. I must say the smoked wings were absolutely delicious. I could have drank that cilantro ranch sauce! The pommes frites were delicious and served with a spicy ketchup. I love spicy, but if you're not into spicy flavors, it may take you by surprise. Service was awesome and quick!

To start this place is a "sit down" but you have to order at the bar and they bring it to you. We were a tad thrown off with that since they literally had waiters and people roaming around, didn't make sense to me. But that was just the start! We decided to order nachos and a pretzel to start the meal. The pretzel was disgusting, hard and lacking flavor and the $14 nachos was a side plate with a small portion of nachos on it. I asked the server what was with the size of the nachos and he said he though they were normal. They aren't, you go to a normal bar and for $14 comes out a platter with nachos that are loaded. Then our mains came out, my wife's salad was gross, lacking flavor and with dry chicken and my burger was decent. For $90 this meal should have been WAYYY better. We left feeling very disappointed and will definitely not be coming back.

If you haven't been to MPH Brewing in Montgomery, you're either stuck in traffic... or parked…read moresomewhere three blocks away wondering if this place is really worth the walk. Spoiler: it is. The only real complaint here is that the parking situation occasionally resembles a Black Friday doorbuster...,,except instead of discounted TVs, you're fighting for proximity to exceptional beer and people who actually seem glad you showed up. From the moment you walk in, you get hit with something rare these days: genuine, unscripted hospitality. Sierra, the general manager, runs the place with the kind of quiet authority that says, "Yes, we're in control....and yes, you're going to enjoy yourself." She's sharp, composed, and clearly the reason everything hums instead of hiccups. Then there's Maddie...her sister....who is essentially a human champagne cork. Every interaction pops, sparkles, and somehow gets more entertaining the longer you're around her. Watching Sierra and Maddie interact is like seeing discipline and delightful chaos shake hands and decide to run a brewery together. The result? A place that feels both dialed-in and alive. Caroline deserves her own headline. Not just pleasant...precision-level accommodating. The kind of service where you don't have to ask twice, and usually don't even have to ask once. She and Maddie made sure we were completely taken care of out on the porch, including getting a fire going when the temperature dipped into that sneaky "do I need a jacket or not?" zone. That's not service..,.that's anticipation. The food? Legitimately strong. The prosciutto and fig jam pizza hits that perfect balance of sweet, salty, and "why did we not order two of these?" Their salads don't feel like a punishment, and the sandwiches,,..let's just say people aren't exaggerating. You'll see tables guarding them like trade secrets. Now the beer....this is where MPH separates itself from the "nice patio, average product" crowd you find scattered along certain nearby river-adjacent zones. These beers don't just show up,,.they perform. Clean, well-crafted, and across a lineup that feels like a brewmaster who knows exactly what he's doing and isn't guessing. You could drop several of these into a national competition and they wouldn't just participate--they'd make noise. What stands out most is the environment. Relaxed without being lazy, energetic without being chaotic. If the weather cooperates, sitting outside is one of the most enjoyable, almost unfairly pleasant experiences you'll find in Montgomery. There's really nothing else like it in the immediate area, it's not trying to copy anything, and that's exactly why it works. Bottom line: MPH Brewing is what happens when ownership hires well, trains well, and then gets out of the way of good people doing good work. Just plan your parking strategy like you're invading Normandy--or bring comfortable shoes. Either way, you'll leave glad you made the effort.
