Called Turnersville this morning around 6 a.m., they said the tiramisu ice cream cake was in the freezer and if I go in an hour it will be in the freezer. Drove to the location and went to the freezer however they didn't have it and the workers claimed we didn't speak to them despite the number called was their location. They said Glassboro had it . Called Glassboro and Sewell both said they don't have it. Updated Turnersville that both didn't have and they said maybe the Glassboro manager wasn't there while a worker giggled. In the end no accountability for wasting a customers time. Calls are recorded hope someone reviews it and addresses it with the workers. read more

I stopped in this I always hear about it and I see their products all over the place. I figured I'd get a slice of pizza so I got a broccoli slice and asked them to heat it up. Well, the pizza wasn't tremendous. it was OK. The problem was that the staff had to heat it up. It took three times for them to heat it up and it was still only kind of lukewarm. I called from out of state to order a cake for my mom for her birthday. Rachel in the cake department was fantastic. She took great care in getting my order and the cake was gorgeous. Growing up, all of our family enjoyed a yellow vanilla cake with chocolate frosting. Rachel and Liscio's did not disappoint! Dense, rich, and so tasty according to my mom. I stopped in the original Liscio's Bakery & Deli recently on my way back from municipal court in nearby Monroe Township. It sits in Crosskeys Center on Black Horse Pike (Rt. 42) in Sicklerville, NJ. It is celebrating its 30th anniversary this year (2024). I was most curious about their long torpedo rolls and tomato pie as part of the extended investigation of Philadelphia area Italian bakeries begun with Yelp friend Omar S. We had not ventured into South Jersey, although aware of the existence of some exceptional breads and T pies between Trenton and Glassboro. Liscio's has a big book of business on both sides of the Delaware River, and knowing I was so close to their first shop (of three), was too good to pass up. The store is a good size for a bakery/deli, with plenty of display cases of cookies , pies and donuts, and back bins full of various rolls and deli meats/cheeses. Staff were friendly and eager to assist this first timer. I ordered a large (12") Turkey & Provolone Hoagie and six slice Tomato Pie, to take home for later family consumption, along with a shorty sesame seeded roll to sample on the hour drive to Bucks County. Although I am sure a layer of cool sweet butter would have been a real pleasure, even the straight roll ripped apart and devoured quickly was wonderful. Its outer layer was crisp and crunched when bitten. The inside was soft and textured with a subtle slightly salty sour flavor. Excellent! That evening, the hoagie proved to be even better, with the turkey, cheese, lettuce, tomato, sweet pepper and light mayo stuffed into the long seeded roll a masterwork of deli making. It was a feast for the senses. Their approach is to go heavy on the meat and light on the cheese, unless given further instruction. I was fine with their way, although next time I would ask for a little more cheese to change the balance a bit. The Tomato Pie was very good served cool with a shake of hot pepper flakes. The dough base was a thick foundation for the rich red paste/sauce above. Very good, if not quite what you can get in South Philly at Sarcone's or New York Bakery. Similar to Corropolese in consistency and taste. It wasn't sold in boxes, but 6 slices fit nicely into their medium size cardboard container. Liscio's is the main bakery supplier for Primo's in the region, so if you have had one of their strong hoagies, you have eaten Liscio's rolls. I am Swartzie fan myself. Very glad I visited, and if in the area again, I will stop in. read more

Recently bought one dozen of their Nicky rolls in the Turnersville store. Asked for 6 plain and 6 seeded. When checking out they rang the order up as 2 half dozen rolls at $5.50 each for a total of $11.00. Where it should have been rung up as 1 dozen for $9.50. They are the same rolls with the same price whether seeded or plain. When I questioned it There was attitude by the counter persons that that is the way it is. They finally charged me the dozen price. The consumer needs to be aware that they are getting ripped off. Just watch prices on other items in the store. read more

Yesterday, (January 16th), was My Daughter Catarina's 29th Birthday! So, of course I had my hubby order her favorite cake (Italian Rum) from Liscios's!! She was so surprised when he brought this cake out & placed it in front of her because It was absolutely beautiful & Soo HUGE!! He thought he ordered a small cake but Catarina's so happy because now she gets to eat it for the next 2 weeks!! Lol! With the cake, hubby got a small hoagie tray, which I have to say, the Italian meats are absolutely delicious! The hoagies come in 3 sizes ($7.49 small, $10.49 regular, $22.59 whole) and there are even 24/36/48 piece hoagie trays for large groups. Our favorites are the Paisano (sharp provolone Italian), Turkey Diablo (spicy kick), and Special K (ham with kalamata olive spread) ... but just discovered a Sicilian worth trying! Square pizza slices come with various toppings ... lots of different ones like spicy sausage, sweet peppers, hot peppers, bruschetta, and more. All usual varieties of Stromboli's too! The rye bread has changed and not for the better. It is full of holes, it tastes different. The texture is different from the past. I have been buying a loaf every week for about three years now and it gradually changed. It is not the traditional recipe that I grew to enjoy with my morning breakfast. Been going here for years. Food is consistently good. Service recently has been good which is an improvement. Rolls are amazing and great quality meats. Pizzas and premade salads are also delicious. I absolutely love Liscio's and I'm kinda depressed that I don't get to experience their delicious baked goods and yummy subs on a daily basis anymore since I moved closer to the shore. Wish they had a good Italian bakery like Liscio's around here. When I am in the area, I do make sure I stop here for some bake goods and Italian sub. They have cases and cases filled with mouth watering desserts... donuts, cup cakes, danishes... you name it, they have it. Don't forget to grab yourself a sub! Came here Thurs. 3-7-24 to order two hoagies. We like their pizza, so we decided to try the hoagies. I should add I've never found the attendants here to be amiable. They seem to act like they are doing you a favor by waiting on you. The girl taking my hoagie order wrote with one hand and (I kid you not) had her other hand's fingers in her mouth the whole time. It seemed yucky in a place that deals with handling food. Waited for the two ordered hoagies, took them home, my wife and I sat down at the kitchen table and opened them for dinner (each got the medium size). My wife ordered the "Hurfville Ham and Cheese." Nice size, but it was all ham with only one thin slice of cheese. She showed me it had a tiny smattering of lettuce and tomato. I asked for her onions in a side cup, and they did add a side cup of onions...but they also put onions on the hoagie (!) I ordered a turkey and Swiss cheese hoagie with lettuce, tomato, sweet peppers, and onions on the sandwich. It had a lot of turkey and after seeing what happened to my wife's hoagie, I got super ticked off as I lifted the turkey and thought I saw no cheese. My wife took a look and found one slice of cheese under the turkey. As with hers, it had just a dab of lettuce, tomato, and onion, and an equal little sliver of sweet pepper. It had been a long day and I wasn't going back with them. These hoagies weren't moderately priced either. There are plenty of other good places for hoagies in this area. Even Wawa makes better hoagies than here. As I said, we like their pizza, but this experience makes us not want to go back to Liscio's at all. read more

Me being the nice person I am I even said "hey can I still get something don't want to be a pain if you are totally cleaned up " I shouldn't even have asked cuz there was plenty of time led t but I did ! I asked and all 6 of the people behind the counter 5 of them being very young girls and one older woman all looked at each other and I stood there for almost a min and no-one said anything . I went in the shop in Washington twp today and felt invisible, three other buyers besides myself were in the store. I stood in front of the pastry case, with no one else, while workers looked at me not even acknowledging my presence nor if I needed help. A lady who seemed to be a manager looked at me and never even asked if someone was or do I need assistance. She then asked a worker if they needed more of a certain item while she stood behind the display case, then came out i to the main store area, again not asking me if I needed assistance. I had to ask her if they had crumb cake, she then pointed me where it was.
