I have been trying to get my wedding dress cleaned and preserved for more than a year now. Lisa did a wonderful job on my dress and I am happy! BUT it's been a year since my dress and veil were shipped to get preserved, and it's been months since I have got a response on the status. I have reached out several times with no response. I understand COVID delayed the process, but I have repeatedly asked for the company name, order number, etc so that I can file a complaint with them and understand why it's taking so long! Our experience with Lisa's Creations and Brides was terrible. The first two appointments went fine, but the third and subsequent appointment was a disaster. We were told by Lisa that the dress would be ready on the 3rd appointment. At the second appointment she told us that by the next appointment she would add bra cups, take in the shoulder straps, add the bustle buttons and add lace to the bottom of the dress. We set our final appointment for Friday, March 15th because I was off for spring break that week and we had our bridal portraits set for the following week. When we arrive for this third appointment, nothing had changed from the appointment before. Not once did Lisa try to contact us to let us know the dress wouldn't be ready. She told us to return on Monday, March 18th, two days before our bridals. As I had to go back to work on the 18th, I sent my daughter and her sister to pick up the dress. When they arrived for the 11:00 am appointment, they were told to leave and come back in 45 minutes. When they returned again after 45 minutes, they sat and waited another 30 minutes until Lisa finally brought the dress out, which was still not complete. It took almost 3 hours for everything to be finished, and it turned out to be a mess. The bra cups that were inserted had to be removed by me because they stuck out of the dress and were completely visible. During the appointment she was going to put the bustle in the wrong place, practically at the back of my daughter's knees, until my older daughter argued with her about where it should go. The worst by far though was the fact that the lace Lisa attached to the dress did not match. The lace Lisa showed me at the previous appointment could not have possibly been the same lace as the lace she attached, it didn't match the dress at all. The lace that she attached was white and my daughters dress was ivory. We had no choice but to use the dress for our bridal portraits, as there was not time to do anything by the time we got the dress. The lace ruined my daughter's portraits. I spent over $400 for these alterations and now am having to find another seamstress to fix the dress. It will cost me another couple hundred to have the lace removed and new lace added. What I like about her is that she was very straightforward with me about what looked good. I contacted Lisa about 8 weeks out from my wedding date, and had a total of 3 fittings. She added tulle under the skirt to make it easier to walk, and to give it shape. She also bustled my train, and attached my jeweled belt. On my wedding day my gown fit perfectly, and looked amazing. Lisa made the impossible, possible! Months before my wedding, I bought my dream dress online, but I knew would be too small for me. I thought to myself, "this is the one, I know I can lose the weight." And I did! I was able to fit into the dress... but I couldn't zip it up... and I knew this just wasn't going to work. I have to set appointments based on bridal shop's times and availability, I'll have to try on a bunch of dresses...and I know none of them will look half as good as the one I have...no no no.... The woman had 2 weeks to make this happen. And she did! The dress was taken out slightly in the hips for added comfort and flexibility. She took out the zipper and added a corset (I wished my dress had this from the beginning). She works out of her home which didn't bother me at all because it looks more like a tailor shop :) She is super flexible with scheduling and always attentive and nice. She did my engagement party dress which was a wedding dress and let the very delicate material out. At that time she did my mothers dress and the grooms tuxedo jacket. Lisa is great! I got my wedding dress delivered to my house only 4 weeks before my big day and I needed alterations ASAP. Lisa was quick to help and we did a lot to my dress in a short amount of time. I had a total of 5 appointments ranging from taking in the sides, adding bra cups, adding elastic to hold the dress as it was low cut, adding glitter to the tulle skirt, taking a few inches off of the skirt it self, etc. On the last fitting - the day before I was leaving for wedding which was out of town, We were taking off the dress and the zipper would not come down... Lisa had to cut the zipper out of the dress and worked overnight to get a new zipper in and ready by 7:00am the next day. She got it done all was great with the dress!
