She then proceeded to try to talk me out of getting an IUD, saying that because I've never had children, I don't know what pain is. She was incredibly insensitive, and I couldn't believe I was talking to a medical professional. Additionally, she didn't offer or recommend any other birth control options. Instead, she was incredibly rude throughout the appointment.

From the very first appointment, it was clear she was extremely knowledgeable, compassionate, thorough, and a wonderfully genuine person. The biggest thing my husband and I noticed off the bat was how she took the time to listen and provide creative and effective solutions to whatever particular symptom I was having. I felt empowered each trimester with the tools and education we were provided with during our appointments. We never felt rushed and always felt that we were in the best care possible. She gained our trust very quickly and being first-time parents, meant the world to us! Towards the end of my pregnancy, my blood pressure began to climb into the gestational hypertension range and it became clear that we would need to induce early. This was at the peak of the Omicron wave and despite the hospital being SUPER busy and understaffed, Dr. Barnes made sure we got in as quickly as possible. We created a plan together and felt like we were walking into my induction and delivery as a team. As fate would have it, I ended up developing pre-eclampsia. We felt so relieved that we had made the choice to deliver early. Her guidance made our situation a best-case scenario. In the hospital and during my postpartum recovery, she was consistently checking in, communicating with us, and providing me with the best possible solutions. She had our back every step of the way. My husband and I are SO grateful we found Dr. Barnes! We cannot rave about her enough and are pretty sure many of our friends will be heading her way in the coming years haha If you're looking for a doctor who is deeply passionate about her work and goes above and beyond for her patients, look no further. The midwife at that clinic took her time and did my ultrasound for 20 mins. She found 2 sacs, one with a baby & one without. He just told me it's only one baby and printed me out a super black picture. He even had the nerve to joke and ask me & my boyfriend have we made a decision on keeping our baby & it was not in a sincere genuine way. When I scheduled my appointment, Dr Yu was available within the same week. I was given multiple options to fit my schedule and chose an 11am appointment. I called the day before to see if I could change the appointment time and the staff was more than accommodating. She let me know if I was to come in a little later it "would be packed" but if I came at 9am it's a little quieter. She set my expectations and I literally waited 2 minutes before I was called in to see the doctor. Dr Yu is extremely professional and explains everything in great detail. She speaks quickly but that means I get twice as much information in the time I get to see her. She is so knowledgeable, I feel like I am in the best care when I see her. She welcomes all questions and is really interested in why the patient is there to see her. She gets all the important information from the conversation and asks the appropriate questions so that she can do her job 100%

Let's face it, no one jumps for joy over the idea of getting a pap - and some of us have had downright traumatic experiences in the past - but with Dr. Chang you can rest assured that it will be a breeze! It was over before I even knew it and it didn't even feel the least bit uncomfortable. She will also perform an ultrasound to ensure that your ovaries and uterus are structurally sound and there's no underlying issues which is a nice touch, especially since you don't need to schedule another visit solely for this as it's done in office by Dr.Chang herself! I'm so glad to have found her - a good OBGYN that makes you feel safe and comfortable is so hard to find these days but Dr. Chang is proof that they still exist!

She scolded me not to cry before entering the operation room, not worthy of crying?! while my life and my baby's life were in her hands. Only for a couple hundred dollars more, she wants a surgery instead of natural birth. For an insurance covered procedure, she lied to me its cosmetic, I paid her cash and extra. Later, both Blue Shield and Optum confirmed she never billed. After I asked my money back, she claimed through insurance. Don't even think twice, go find another doctor.
