We said that we will be gone for vacation for three weeks and asked if she can see us despite our late arrival due to reason beyond our control but they were adamant and cold toward us. Finally we gave up and asked them to provide us a doctor note for the hr office but they said since we missed the appt they wouldn't give us a formal doctor note! We had to be insistent and finally got some sort of form. Overall we're really disappointed with this medical group and particularly this doctor for being so distant, mean, and rude (by kept telling us we should have come in at 3:45 even though appt is at 4!). If this is the kind of attitude and treatment this doctor and medical group give to new patient then we will make sure that we will never pick anyone from this group and this doctor! The receptionist cut me off twice, saying, "ma'am, just a moment, I'm with a customer," despite my simply trying to be polite. Another patient waiting in the lobby also witnessed this interaction. When it was my turn, the receptionist questioned me about paperwork I had already submitted and informed me of my $50 co-pay in a condescending tone. At that point, I requested to cancel my appointment. I calmly told her that I found her manner disrespectful and did not appreciate being spoken to that way. I'm now 4 weeks post-op! His team is also PHENOMENAL. After trying to conceive for 2 years and being labeled as "unexplained infertility" - I did a biopsy called ReceptivaDX that came back positive for endometriosis. I don't live with chronic period pain so endometriosis was not suspected at all by any of my doctors. I saw Dr. Siedhoff's name throughout the internet when I first suspected silent endometriosis, so his office was the first one I called. Sarah was so kind and empathetic. She worked quickly to try to help me get scheduled with a consult with Dr. Siedhoff (one month wait) while also supporting me through the MRI ordering process. This was a Godsend as I've heard from others that Dr. Siedhoff's waitlist was LONG at Cedars. I'll never forget the validation Dr. Siedhoff made me feel after being dismissed for so long. I came in fully prepared to convince him I needed surgery. I mentioned I felt intense cramping when peeing or having bowel movements near ovulation or my period. He told me I didn't need an MRI because "with 2 years of infertility and a positive biopsy, I'm confident I will find all of the endometriosis." To him, my symptoms were not silent. I didn't need to convince him of anything. I also sent his office pages and pages of extensive testing I've done and he read in my medical report from my first ultrasound that I had a uterine septum. To be honest I totally forgot about it and I'm so thankful he proactively said he'd treat. I didn't want IVF to be seen as a backup for us and I wanted this surgery to be fertility-sparing. He met me where I was at. Of course everyone's anatomy and endometriosis placement and severity is different, but to feel safe in the care of a surgeon is everything. Angela helped me with scheduling my surgery date and they said I could have it in 1-2 months. My date was booked for St. John's Hospital in SaMo (also love this hospital). She assured me my insurance was all good to go and I'm SO thankful they took Cigna PPO. Marlene NP went over my pre-op instructions and literally gave me a play by play of what to expect. FOLLOW her directions for a smooth surgery! She answered every question I had and nothing felt too TMI. Rachel PA also called me the night before to check in to see if I had any questions. So sweet! I was the first surgery of the day at 7am (arrived at the hospital at 5:30am) and was slated for 2.5 hours but finished 3 hours and 15 min. They found stage 3 endometriosis. My left ovary was completely stuck to my pelvis and I had an endometrioma that was never found on all of my ultrasounds. There was endometriosis on my right ovary, bladder, bowels, rectum and my appendix was removed (with my prior consent) as it had old white endometriosis scar tissue on it. I could NOT believe it. Thank God I had an excellent surgeon like Dr. Siedhoff who knew how to handle complexities. He called my husband and let him know what they found and he said "We're confident we removed it all without disrupting the organ's function". AMAZING. I was discharged at 12:30pm and was on cloud 9 from all the pain meds. My recovery was SO smooth and I hardly felt much pain despite the gravity of the surgery. My incisions are tiny but mighty. I also really appreciate Dr. Siedhoff using new technology - you can tell he's staying on top of his game. They prescribed me a new painkiller that's not an opioid and it really did help me not feel a thing! He uses SYLKE dressings that stay on for the full two weeks and are waterproof so I didn't have to change anything or look at any healing wounds. I loved my first surgery experience (and hope I never have to have it again) but Dr. Siedhoff is literally my fave! All my endo friends are trying to go to him but I know insurance can be tricky.

I've had 3 c-sections and developed scar tissue that, over the past 8-9 years, had been growing in size and with that the pain increased. Over the years I have gone to many specialists, all who have said it is scar tissue from the surgeries and something I would need to live with. By chance, I was at a dermatologist for an unrelated issue and I asked her to check the mass and she sent me in for an ultrasound. From there CT, MRI and finally a biopsy. The mass contained endo cells which is why it was growing over the years. I also had adenomyosis and endometriosis. I contacted numerous specialists in my area, none of whom had experience treating abdominal wall endometrioma. My gynecologist and PCP exhausted their recommendations and didn't know where else to send me, so I started doing my own research. That is when I found Dr. Siedhoff. First off, his staff is top notch! I'm not sure what the hiring process looks like, but I'm sure it is rigorous because they are all amazing. I've never felt more comfortable or seen as I had in talking to his team. Dr. Siedhoff was out of network for me but Rick offered a pathway to coverage with the disclaimer that my case was strong for coverage, but there was a chance I'd be denied. I think that call was 30-40 mins long and Rick never once rushed me. I went ahead with the consultation and after meeting with Dr. Siedhoff, I was absolutely sure I needed to move forward with him. In working with Rick and Dr. Siedhoff's team, my insurance approved his care! I cannot thank them enough for fighting for me as hard as they did! After almost a decade of being misdiagnosed, I was finally on my way to being pain free. Surgery day went smooth and Dr. Siedhoff was present before and after to answer all of my questions. This might sound crazy, but I was in more pain before surgery than recovering from the surgery! I stopped ibuprofen after the second day. I felt 100% after week 2 post op which I took advantage of and my body pushed back. I went back to work and lifted boxes that I had no business moving which opened up my incision, but Dr. Siedhoff's team was available via text to walk me through everything. As if my experience couldn't get any better, after I took off the bandage along my waistline I saw that Dr. Siedhoff had removed my old scar completely! It looks as if I had a tummy tuck from a skilled plastic surgeon. Everyone will have a different experience, but I felt I needed to express my gratitude to Dr. Siedhoff and his amazing team! But I was coping with my husband whonwas dying of cancer so I wasn't necessarily completely attentive to my own care. This pill was controlling some serious pain. After I stopped taking the pill I was in excruciating pain but couldn't tend to myself because my husband was now dying. All my attention went to him. After finally getting back in to see Dr. Leung 4 months later to start the pill again she insisted I try the IUD. I wasn't to comfortable with the idea but she was really insistent it would be better. I decided to try it and so began 2 years of the worst pain I have ever experienced. After she inserted the IUD I ended up with a UTI. After I healed from the UTI the symptoms never went away. I saw a urologist who also was a bad experience. He the diagnosed me with Interstitial cystitis. I told Dr. Leung at my follow up that I really thought the IUD was causing more pain. She insisted it wasn't the IUD. My urologist insisted it wasn't the IUD. Well I trusted them both. For 2 years I changed my diet drastically to manage Interstitial Cystitis assuming that was my problem. Finally in Dec. of 2025 I insisted the IUD be removed really convinced it was causing some of not all of my symptoms. I even paid cash because my insurance didn't kick in until Jan. 2026. I saw Dr. Melnik who listened to my whole story and removed the IUD promptly. For 2 weeks I felt 100% relief. Then I ended up with another UTI. And here we are again. I am now healing from this UTI and while I'm getting better the progress has been painful and slow. To think all this could have been avoided if Dr. Leung had just listened to me and removed the IUD instead of convincing me it wasn't the IUD. I have also changed my urologist. This whole process has been a nightmare and not something I wanted to experience and helping my husband fight sarcoma for almost 6 years. After his death I was mourning but looking forward to some much needed rest. That is still yet to happen 2 and a half years later. Doctors please listen to your patients. If they tell you something isn't right give them the benefit of the doubt.
