I was a patient with Dr Chen for about 8(?) years from their inception at her former practice at Rosehill Dentistry (I left them in 2010, or so). Although they were conscientious and good to begin with, they clearly got worse over the years. My final straw was when Dr Chen did a gold inlay for one of my molars. After the inlay, I noticed that there was a rough spot on there when I felt the tooth with my tongue. I went back to tell Dr Chen about it and I vaguely remember her being somewhat frustrated about it (basically a very courteous way of saying, "what do you want me to do about it?"). As a result, she took a tool and ground down my enamel adjacent to the inlay to smooth it over. Although it was still a bit rough, I let it go...until it came off about 18 months later. During this time, I was literally told by the front desk that they "don't make money from the 'lower' insurance plans", so they were in the process of purging such patients from their roster. I am not kidding you. I don't remember her name, but she was an older lady. Needless to say, I never went back for them to subsequently do a crown for that tooth, but only then did I learn that the rough spot next to the inlay was a result of their error...it was defective for my tooth, which is why it only lasted 18 months. All-in-all, the other negative review (on their former practice) does not surprise me one bit as they have an attitude issue. It has been years since I left them, but for someone to feel compelled to want to write this review to warn others after all that time, it has to be real bad. Why now? I have just started to write reviews on Yelp and one of the strong negatives I have felt that needed to be written. read more
