Dr. Chan recommended we wait until her adult teeth grow in and at the time to monitor her jaw for every 6 months. So far, after 2-3 appts we've been satisfied. I did not feel that Dr. Chan was trying to tooth and nail me for money. I think we are in the right spot for monitoring for future braces.

We had already completed major dental treatment (including oral surgery) in Florida and only needed braces. However, we were still charged for a full two-year treatment plan costing over $5,000. When I asked if I could pay using an HSA account, I was told that payments could only be deducted directly from my bank each month. After two and half years of treatment, the office claimed that additional treatment was needed and continued to withdraw monthly payments, even though our agreement should have ended half a year ago. When I questioned this, I was told that my dental insurance hadn't covered the full amount and that I had to pay the remainder. This was never communicated to me in advance. When I asked for proof that they had informed me, they could not provide any evidence. Once I raised these concerns, they abruptly canceled all future treatments--regardless of medical necessity. My impression is that while there is only one doctor, Dr. Richard Chan, most of the work is performed by multiple new and less experienced assistants. The overall service quality feels so so, and I found the staff to be unhelpful and unprofessional. In my experience, this clinic does not prioritize patient care or transparency. I recommend proceeding with caution if you want to go.

2018, was most likely the golden era for this site, since the reviews prior to mine, were all…read moreglowing but there have been none for 7-years. Issues during Sept-Nov (2025): 1. Very clunky and cumbersome intake process 2. Very unstable payment portal process mix of Dentrix (non-native Fintech) and some unknown third-party, which does not have reminders or auto-draw forcing you to share your financial details with roving staff via questionable security measures 3. Dr. Kim (male with mask) and Julia (office manager) are stand-offish and hollow, going through the motions, and did not make any effort to remember things as basic as: not scheduling appointments when patrons have moved out of the state, keeping a courtesy payment reminder active, updating Px about payment submission changes, shaking hands, or extending basic greetings in the waiting area. 4. They will argue away their avoiding of the Surprise Billing statute, by charging you extra before rendering the receipt of sale, meaning, if there is an agreed payment plan, the fee schedule is subject to change during the encounter if the provider deems it necessary to tack on additional fees-for-services rendered. They put you through the screening but use the built-in excuse that the screening tools are limited and things 'come-up' during the procedures. 5. The dental problem, despite the ~$2,500 tab, is still a problem, and seems like only a temporary fix was applied, to encourage a return visit for more services/charges to be levied. The tools used seemed functional and up-to-date, but beyond this the overall care quality presents as a place that has been gutted by turn-over, limited by location, and hamstringed by said personnel. Given the location and the personage mentioned, it would be best if alternatives were sought -- it is not worth the hassle or expense.

Dr. Ben and the staff were friendly and accomodating. I rated my experience as 5 stars, however…read morethere were few things that I noticed that can improve the overall experience: - Steet signage: Arriving to the location was not a problem. I followed my GPS directions, and I arrived there on time. However, it was hard to locate the the correct building and I got confused when trying to search for the right entrance. I would suggest to have some sort of signage at the back of the building, to guide the patient to walk around as it was not evident that where I parked was Suite 2 or was the back of "Kirkland Cornerstone Dental" building. - Exam / Dental Cleaning Room: The dental hygienist welcomed me and did a terrific job at cleaning my teeth. She was properly notifying me what she was going to do so that I would be ready for it. The not so great experience was when I was laying back on the chair with all the machines and tools inserted in my mouth, I started noticing and hearing disturbances in the room next door. I am not sure what was going on but I believe that there were some files going in/out the shelves which are located in the front desk room. I understand that the rooms are close to each other without doors but as a patient I would have preferred to feel more at ease without having to be distracted with the noise of the side walls. After the dental hygienist completed her work, she gave me an Oral-B toothbrush with a floss. It was nice of her however I would have preferred to not carry anything until I complete all stages of my visit. In other dental offices, the freebies are given at the very end as part of the goodie bag. Also, the exam room needs a coat hanger, placing my jacket on the side counter was not a good idea. - Dental Panoramic X-Ray Machine Area: Please add a CAUTION sticker sign where the mounted metal piece is located. That area felt a bit dangerous when trying to get inside/out the machine. - Insurance: As a new patient who gave all my insurance information before arriving to my appointment, I would expect that the staff had already done their homework and learned about my insurance coverage. What are the primary things that a new patient need ? The essentials: Regular Checkup and Cleaning, X-Ray, and perhaps Dental Filling. The patient should NOT be hearing a lot of "We don't know if your insurance covers that". The discussion regarding "patient's insurance coverage" must be done only once at the beginning or/and at the end. For a moment while i was in the exam room, I started doubting my insurance coverage. Perhaps, if I had discussed the purpose of my visit when I first entered with the coverage that i was getting, it would have elimitnated later confusion. I am not sure but maybe it was my mistake for not bringing it up when I checked in. Overall, I had a good experience with Dr. Ben who patiently explained the issues I had without exercising any pressure. I will be gladly referring Dr. Ben to my wife who is currently searching for a New Dentist.

Even worse when my crying child asked dentist if anesthesia is dangerous, the doctor said yes (I don't think she was even listening to what my child was asking). We have had two negative experiences on each of the last visits. Most recent was today which unfortunately a situation came up where my wife did not have the car forcing us into having to cancel last minute. I completely understand the need to have advanced notice so another family can get the spot but the way the receptionist handled herself was absurd and completely unprofessional. She made the statement "oh you did not know yesterday you would not have a car today?" To my wife and I, we were very surprised that this how they speak to their patients with such rude and challenging verbiage. Yesterday or our current situation has nothing to do with the last minute situation that occurred and it certainly is not their place to question private matters. Things happen and the correct response should have been we understand and can reschedule. In the future we need advance notice. The extra comments were not necessary. After speaking with the manager she was also challenging and displayed an attitude like she did not care and even seemed to approve of the behavior stating "I am sorry you feel that way" which is the classic we could not care less about what we did phrase. The experience prior to that we had a support member speak to us in English and then all of sudden began to act like we did not speak English and attempted to communicate in broken Spanish which was offensive and discriminatory practices. We are American and speak English just fine. It was a very disappointing and weird experience. We spoke with the dentist at the time the incident occurred and she was very apologetic which was sincere. In all, this place has some of the most unprofessional and disrespectful employees I have come across in anything related to children services. Training is needed and the sad thing is they probably believe that the way they acted and treated us is ok behavior. Their responses told me everything I need to know about the quality of people they are. They will not care one bit but of course we will find a new dentist office that has a team that understands the only reason they have employment is because of us families. It is a shame because again the dentists have always been great.

I finally found a place to keep going back to - UNTIL today. i got a filling not too long ago and i'm on a trip in hawaii. my tooth was sore right away but everyone told me that's what happens after a filling. after a week or so i looked at my tooth and it looked a little cracked (which explains the pain). i called and asked to speak with the dr since i'm on an island. i want to know if it's ok to wait to get it fixed when i'm back on the mainland. i don't feel comfortable getting it done on the island. instead of taking a couple minutes to answer some questions, the dr had her reception call me back and let me know she doesn't have time to speak with me and i'll have to ask someone on the island. thanks for the help doc! i knew it was too good to be true.

Dr. Chapman has made this a breeze! I hadn't been able to go for two years, but Dr. Voke got me on the right dental hygiene track, and Dr. Chapman took it from there. Neither one of these dentists hurt me at all when injecting the roof of my mouth, and their assistants/hygienists were the best I've encountered. 7/10/18- I haven't been able to take Dr. Chapman's fine advice concerning seeking orthodontic treatment so I am still holding the line and under excellent, quality care. This is FAR better and yet affordable under Social Security, than letting dental care go! Thank You Dr. Chapman.
