We have had two negative experiences on each of the last visits. Most recent was today which unfortunately a situation came up where my wife did not have the car forcing us into having to cancel last minute. I completely understand the need to have advanced notice so another family can get the spot but the way the receptionist handled herself was absurd and completely unprofessional. She made the statement "oh you did not know yesterday you would not have a car today?" To my wife and I, we were very surprised that this how they speak to their patients with such rude and challenging verbiage. Yesterday or our current situation has nothing to do with the last minute situation that occurred and it certainly is not their place to question private matters. Things happen and the correct response should have been we understand and can reschedule. In the future we need advance notice. The extra comments were not necessary. After speaking with the manager she was also challenging and displayed an attitude like she did not care and even seemed to approve of the behavior stating "I am sorry you feel that way" which is the classic we could not care less about what we did phrase. The experience prior to that we had a support member speak to us in English and then all of sudden began to act like we did not speak English and attempted to communicate in broken Spanish which was offensive and discriminatory practices. We are American and speak English just fine. It was a very disappointing and weird experience. We spoke with the dentist at the time the incident occurred and she was very apologetic which was sincere. In all, this place has some of the most unprofessional and disrespectful employees I have come across in anything related to children services. Training is needed and the sad thing is they probably believe that the way they acted and treated us is ok behavior. Their responses told me everything I need to know about the quality of people they are. They will not care one bit but of course we will find a new dentist office that has a team that understands the only reason they have employment is because of us families. It is a shame because again the dentists have always been great.

I actually didn't even know how to fully process how well they took care of her during her appointment today because it was so well done, but after coming home and reflecting I really do have to say that this is the best experience I had as a special needs mom. My daughter often visits Seattle Childrens Hospital and we see various providers and clinics. None of my daughters past providers has shown this level of compassion, care, quality in healthcare, patience and understanding. I can really tell my daughter is getting better at coming to her dentist appointments because of the level of care they provide here. It starts right as you walk into the front office and you are recieved with a kind and warm welcome (Super neat and clean front office with lots of kid friendly toys and games). I stopped coming last year after the practice dropped my Delta Dental insurance. I recently decided to give them another try because I now have dental insurance through Cigna. Before my most recent appointment, I sent my insurance information in advance by email and also confirmed it by phone. The office booked the appointment with no mention of any issues. I drove there, took time out of my day, and once I was already sitting in the chair, I was told that the practice had dropped all insurance and asked if I wanted to proceed, pay out of pocket, and then personally deal with whatever reimbursement my insurance might or might not provide later. This conversation happened with a dental hygienist, not an office administrator, despite the practice having administrative staff, and it was extremely uncomfortable. It felt inappropriate for a clinical provider to be put in the position of handling a billing and insurance issue. I declined and left, having wasted time commuting and attending an appointment that should never have been booked under these circumstances. This same situation has happened to me before and is exactly why I stopped going previously. What is most concerning is that all responsibility is placed on the patient. You are expected to manage insurance reimbursement yourself, the practice takes no accountability, and they reserve the right to charge whatever they choose, often well above standard ADA fee guidelines. There was also no follow-up of any kind from the office after the visit. No courtesy call, no acknowledgment, and no attempt to address the situation, which further reinforced the lack of professionalism. The office is beautiful and the staff is welcoming, but the lack of upfront communication, pricing transparency, and professional handling of insurance matters feels misleading. I am sharing this so others are aware and can ask very direct questions before booking, especially if insurance coverage matters to you.

The staff at this office, though, are very friendly and do a great job of welcoming you and help keep you at ease. The office, itself, is designed in a way that feels comfortable and calm: the rooms have televisions to distract you during your cleaning or procedure, the rooms are cozy, and the decor is tasteful. Equipment is modern and staff are up-to-date on current procedures and options for your overall mouth care. I had to have a crown replaced and I greatly appreciated that the crown was actually made in-house while I waited. I didn't have to wander around for days with a temporary crown and then come back. I even got to watch the machine make my crown, which was really cool. I've changed insurance carriers a couple of times since coming to this office and have appreciated that this office was a preferred provider on both. My mom has been a dental hygienist for most of my life and she has worked in many different offices. This, by far, is my favorite one. The front office staff are very friendly and knowledgeable about what your insurance covers and payment plan options for things that aren't covered, the dentist is fairly laid back about suggesting different procedures and it seems that if you really need something done outside of a routine cleaning, he emphasizes that well without being pushy, the dental assistants are very adept and are a calming presence if you do need a more intense procedure done, and of course, the hygienists are great too. :)
