This office is clean, Gaylen has assisted helpfully at front desk thus far, scheduling is easy, and the actual procedure was prompt. The five stars goes to the teamwork of Suha and Dr. Shin. Providing a review to specifically emphasize how impressed I was with their teamwork. As a patient, I really appreciate having a pair of people who easily work together, and provide comfort to the experience. Suha naturally is a comforting person, and Dr Shin appears to know his stuff, and quickly execute. Although my case seems particularly hard to reach, they ensured me all was good for the future, and the office will see me in 8 ish months to ensure all is looking good. (Included in price of procedure) I hope to find additionally that my insurance does cover some of the cost. However am waiting to see how that portion plays out.

I was more relaxed, and taken care of for my root canal here than for even a cleaning at my normal dentist. The front staff was amazing, they were so great communicating about pricing and were able to literally get me in same day because of the pain I was experiencing. I didn't feel a thing for my root canal and the whole thing was over in 45 minutes! Will be returning here 100% if I need any of their services and recommending them to everyone I know.

I was greeted by Jennifer; whom I spoke over the phone. She reviewed my coverage and Out of pocket cost. The staff welcomed me in and had a consultation with one of the doctor(s). I believe it was Dr. Barrineau who took a look and xray from my dentist. Took another on site and after the review and affirmation of what my dentist and I talked about. I was brought to the front to schedule with Jennifer. Fast forward, I came in for my root-canal today and it went smoothly. I had Chelsea greet me and welcomed me in (I believe is the DA) and then meet with Dr. Barrineau; whom performed the root canal. Throughout the whole process (1 - 1 1/2 hours), I felt at ease and although their was no TV or music. The experience overall was pain-free and smooth. When the procedure was completed, and my questions were answered. I was set to leave. Overall, the whole staff and location was great and would recommend Alderwood Endodontics for your more serious dental needs.

Dr. Owart specifically admitted his mistake during the procedure. I was told to immediately go and try to get the tooth extracted and start the process of dental implant. I then received a call the next day from Dr. Wu that she would be back from vacation in two weeks and could redo the root canal then. this series of events was very confusing, so there was no way I was going back to this place. I hoped that they would assist in some payment of the high cost of the implant, but claimed they had no liability for the botched procedure. So I'm out of pocket thousands of dollars. Don't go there, whatever you do.

The office is tucked away on a street off NE 185th Street, just past the Harbor Homes. They have their own private lot, so parking is easy to find. Making an appointment was simple and quick, thanks to the helpful staff. My first visit to the office was back in October 2024. I was seen by Dr. Gillian Lim and the dental hygienist, Ben. Ben performed the initial exam and cleaning, and then Dr. Lim came in to greet me and do one final check and cleaning. The entire staff was very warm and welcoming! My first impression of the office and staff was so positive that I decided to bring my parents here as well. During my parents' initial visit, I had the pleasure of meeting Dr. Karen Wang, who was also very warm and welcoming to both them and me. She paid a lot of attention to my parents and made sure they were comfortable during their dental workup. Dr. Wang was very helpful in explaining any additional dental work that needed to be done and made sure to answer any questions I had. My mom even praised Dr. Wang for focusing entirely on her--the patient--rather than engaging in small talk with staff while working. She had experienced that kind of distracted care with a previous dentist and wasn't a fan of it. I would highly recommend Bothell Smiles Family Dentistry and their team to all of my family and friends! TL;DR: After years of searching, I finally found the perfect dental office--Bothell Smiles Family Dentistry! The staff is warm and welcoming, appointments are easy to book, and both Dr. Lim and Dr. Wang provide exceptional care. The office is conveniently located with private parking. I've even brought my parents here, and we've all had great experiences. Highly recommend to family and friends!

I declined his services and left. The experience at Lakeside with Dr. Etemadi was a complete polar opposite. They got me in within 48 hours of my being referred to them. The office is beautifully decorated and very comforting. They must have opened early for me as it was just him and a hygienist. The soundtrack that was playing was perfect. I was offered a beautiful, soft, big and warm blanket and the lights were dimmed. Dr. Etemadi listened with compassion to my past experience and was very reassuring and confirmed he would never drill through a tooth that was not numb. He has a very soothing voice and is extremely professional. My mouth was still very sore from my experience with the other endodontist and Dr. Etemadi was able to avoid the sore spots when he did the injections. The injections were pain free and quick. The "laughing gas" was set perfect as I didn't experience any shaky feelings like I had with the other endodontist. Within 30 minutes I was comfortably numb with none of the extreme face drooping I had experienced in the past. He was very careful when doing the tests to ensure I was 100% numb and when he confirmed I felt nothing he performed the root canal quickly and efficiently and continued to check in with me to make sure I was ok. I was extremely relaxed and comfortable. After he was done, I was offered a hot lemon fresh towel on a pretty plate to wipe my face. It was awesome! I highly recommend Dr. Etemadi. He and his staff are simply amazing!

Yet, here we are…read more I found myself in the market for a couple of root canals and my dentist said this was the place to go so I went. The process of getting an appointment was easy, the pre appointment paperwork was awesome. I knew exactly what would happen before I went, which was super helpful. Day of, everyone was nice on my way in. Lots of pictures and shockingly I needed a root canal, actually two. Unfortunately the doctor only does one at a time so I'm not done yet. But he did a good job, I guess. I felt nothing, and didn't even need any pain killers. Nice work. On my way out, it felt a bit off. The receptionist lost a bit of patience (it seemed) when I was trying to set up another appointment. I work, so my availability kinda is wonky and I'm stuck with this lump on the back of my tooth (temporary filling) for two additional weeks until I can get the second filling. To be honest, my tongue is already raw from rubbing against the filling on the one tooth that's been done. So yes, I really want to get in sooner and maybe she had a long day, bit it felt like she wasn't interested in trying to get me in sooner. They did however give me a little gift bag, with water and chocolate and Advil. That was neat. Obviously I'll be back l, so it was a good experience overall. Normally I'd suggest a business I've given a positive review too, however I don't want anyone to have a root canal.... I'm so torn!

However, when I arrived, the receptionist informed me that because the visit involved a panoramic x-ray, I would need to pay out of pocket. This was unexpected and confusing, especially since my insurance covers x-rays as part of a routine cleaning. What's most frustrating is that the office refused to proceed with the appointment, despite having verified insurance coverage beforehand. I wasn't given a clear explanation as to why the panoramic x-ray was required or why it wasn't covered, and no alternative was offered. The lack of communication and flexibility felt unprofessional and disappointing. I hope this feedback helps improve transparency and patient experience in the future

I went here to establish as a new patient, to be honest I was kind of bribed by OpenCare, with an $85 giftcard to Sephora as incentive for choosing this place. I figured I did not have a lot to loose considering I'd get the giftcard at the very least. I went in for my new patient exam, the staff seemed a little too busy to greet me. I remember it being a little awkward. I could tell one of the receptionist was likely the dentists mom, they both have the same kind of demeanor and speaking patterns, talking down to you or like you are inferior while also acting inconvenienced to be doing their job. The waiting room looked nice. Had a coffee station, nice furniture and a fire place. I sat for about 15 or 20 minutes past my appointment waiting to be called back. The temperature of the waiting rooms was uncomfortable and I mentioned it and the assistant said it was always freezing or too hot. Then he told me that they didn't open the door because then it would smell like Subway bread, which was a smell the receptionists did not like. The assistant who took my x-rays was pretty cool out of everybody there he seems like a nice honest guy, he also seemed a little bit nervous. And I met with the doctor she made some condescending remarks about my teeth, something about how I need to drink my coffee faster and she made a snarky remark that I probably drink wine every night? I told her explicitly about my extreme dental fear and I remember her laughing/ scoffing when I expressed my fear. This made me pretty uncomfortable and it made me not really trust the place. I was told that I needed six or seven fillings and that it would be hard to do everything I needed and one appointment and that even one to two hours would not be enough time. They scheduled me for a cleaning a few days later and it went to have the cleaning and there was a substitute/float hygienist. She was extremely nice and I liked her. She was very attentive and seemed very thorough. I was disappointed that she floated from clinic clinic in that I wouldn't have her as a hygienist again because she was the kindest one I encountered at this dental office. I do remember that fluoride was NOT even offered. On my way out I asked the receptionist about it and she said oh it just probably isn't covered by your insurance then she flipped through some papers, (while acting like it was annoying to have to search through my paperwork) and then finally said yeah it's not covered if you want it's going to be a $40-50 charge. Eventually I ended up calling to schedule my appointment for fillings and was reminded of how unprofessional they were. I called and kept having to be put on hold while the receptionist spoke with the dentist or trying to find me a spot I was calling about 1.5 months before the end of the year and was reminded of how inconsiderate the staff was. I eventually ended up going to a different dentist all together and found out fluoride is and always has been covered by my insurance and that I only needed 1 filling and had 2 areas to watch. The dentist was very nice, asked if I had questions, offered a referral for TMJ massage and told me my teeth looked great. After having such a completely different experience at the other office that I am now established at, I thought it was my duty to tell other people about my experience in case others have had the same.
