Really dissatisfied with the patient care after i had to spend $60 on a mouthwash to fix a wound they caused in my mouth and the treatment I received after an issue with insurance went unnoticed and they tried to send me to collections. When I discovered this I called them and offered to give them whatever was left in my bank account to prevent me going to collections while I disputed this with my insurance. They gave me 5 days to either pay or receive payment from insurance. they were super distrusting and rude over the phone :( read more

I was met in the office by their new dog in training, what a sweet guy. As always it never feels like Dr Crisafulli is in my mouth, such a gentle touch she has. I really like Hakim the hygienist, he too is very gentle, through and a great personality!! Marie, I think she's the office manager was training a new gal. Marie is a good trainer as she's caring, not pushy or matter of fact and walked the new gal through the steps with good explanation. Love this group! read more

I don't even want to give this place one star. Horrible, horrible experience every time, for the years I made the mistake of going here. This review is long over do as I haven't been there in a few years. I have great anxiety concerning going to the dentist after being a patient here, despite my new dentist being phenomenal, and it still makes me mad. My mother made me come here when I was young and we both were treated very rudely with a condescending overtone to put it mildly, for years until I grew up and said NO MORE and got a new wonderful dentist. Dr. Crisafulli is the problem. The rest of the staff is fine. Although there is the one overly sweet assistant who uncomfortably talks about God the whole time which is a drastic contrast to the horror which is Dr. Crisafulli. What's this? I went to Crisafulli Dental some 13-15 yrs ago after a few years of a "dental pause". I had much dental anxiety from a childhood of cavities repaired without Novocain, candy rewards from the dentist after the procedures. It was over the top apprehension, fear, bawling, etc, as a child. At 71 Ive experienced the shame and judgment as well as the fear that has accompanied visits to numerous dentists. It was a risk to try a new dentist each time, hoping it might be different. I knew I needed a visit, so I tried Dr Crisafulli. I liked the office dog. The best thing was the referral to endodontist Dr Calvert in Bellevue for a root canal. What a relief to be treated so kindly there. Also, the titanium implant by a retired specialist was much appreciated. Also so kind. I didn't care for the office itself. Dr Crisafulli spent much time trying to fix my fear. Talked a lot about how she has trained others out of their fear, kind of like I'm not cooperative while sitting in the chair, feeling subjection and shame on top of sense of frozen fear. I felt gossiped about by the way I was spoken to by the staff as well, along with hearing gossip in the air. I did not continue obviously. I found Progressive Dental that I've gone to ever since. No one ever tried to joke, or talk me out of my feelings. They noted what helped make me comfortable. A warm blanket, gum numbing gel, chapstick, skills with numbing and injections, nitrous, communication and a professional and calm environment. Over the years I have come to trust them and do not dread or postpone the regular appointments. I do still need a prescription for a visit if there is restorative treatment, but know there is openness and compassion there. Some people don't need the support for dental visits. But dental anxiety is common... people may not remember what you say, but they will remember how they felt.. read more

The front desk staff, Marie and Mike, treated us like family. The office is warm and cozy and Dr. Crisafulli's credentials are impressive. As professionally educated and experienced as she is, she is equally as down to earth and engaging! We had the most thorough initial examination we have EVER had and her dental hygienist is super nice and efficient a well. Overall, an extremely pleasant experience. I have been a patient of Dr. Crisafulli and Dr. Houser for about a year. I've done cleaning here two times and a consultation as well. The first cleaning was really great, one of the best I've ever had. The second one felt a bit rushed, but still standard quality. I found the billing staff extremely rude and not interested to communicate. Before my visit they asked me to call my insurance and ask if they cover consultation. The insurance said they do cover it twice a year. So I visited Dr. Houser for a consultation. However, the office billed me for the consultation. I explained to them that my insurance said they will pay. But Marie insisted that she will NOT submit the claim to the insurance, even though I explained to her that I called the insurance two times and they said they will consider paying the bill. Marie was very rude and kept repeating that the insurance told me that they won't pay for the bill. I explained to her a couple of times that I called them twice and that's not what they told me, but she kept pushing her words down my throat and threatening me to call a collection agency. I said I'm ok to pay but can you submit the claim to the insurance so they can reimburse me, and she said no, because there is no way that they pay you!! Absolutely unprofessional and rude. I'm so done going to this office. The stress that they give you after your visit is not worth it. read more

Dr. C has been my dentist for about twenty years. The dental services here are always of the highest professional standard. The staff is very friendly and Helene is a great hygienist. Dr. C is not only a great dentist, she's a very special person. Avoid at all costs. Run! Don't walk! I was a new patient and went in for cleaning. They completed a full exam and didn't ask to have my medical records transferred from my previous dentist. Cristifulli ran my insurance and told me what my payment for each visit would be for following services and appointments scheduled. I paid that amount on each subsequent visits. Fast forward 4 months later I get a bill for $500. 1. It was marked 90 to 120 days due. It was the first bill I had received for my services performed months earlier. 2. They performed services I wasn't eligible for because it was too soon for them. Their response. 1. The woman who helped me was no longer there. 2. The form with the amount owed after insurance said it was an estimate. 3. They will try to get my bill changed. The Manager I spoke with continue to argue with me when I said I was done. She wanted to prove her point that this was my fault. Their form says "estimate." My only real resolution is to let others know about what their service is like. They do not deserve to have this bill paid because of their deceptive business practices. I willI pay the bill, because unlike them I have integrity. I hope this review costs them thousands in lost business. Needless to say I will not be back. read more

I understand safety and sanitizing as I work in a medical facility but charging $20 for the business ensure they meet the safety standards to stay in business should be on the business and not the patients. They should be thankful patients will be coming in and making them money. However charging them a fee for them to ensure everyone's safety isn't a patients responsibility- it's something that's expected by going into anywhere that's healthcare related. If you pull up stats on how much money has gone toward getting cleaning supplies and PPE anywhere the numbers have sky rocketed in every single business. Be thankful for the patients that will be coming in once things open back up- it will take time for things to get back to normal and for people to feel comfortable enough to come in like they were before. I had to reschedule multiple times because of health and personal reasons, work conflicts etc. But they were so kind, patient and professional every time we spoke. Everyone there - from the front office ladies to the dental assistant to the dentists, Crisafulli dental far exceeded my expectations. Dentist pulled wrong tooth, do not go here. As I stated, I went to DR Crisafulli to have a broken part of my tooth removed, they forced me to get a non IV sedation (called the day before surgery to tell me this). When I woke up from the surgery, I found out rather than taking out the part of the tooth they were supposed to, they removed my wisdom tooth ON THE OTHER SIDE OF MY MOUTH. DR. Crisafulli then lied to me about what happened, and offered me $4,000 in compensation due to their malpractice and negligence. I have gone to this dentist for years, they have always had horrible customer service, which I should not have done, they treated me horribly and do not care about their clients. I was having some awful sensitivity in my teeth; I couldn't enjoy my favorite ice cream and when I told Dr. C about it, she did not hesitate when she said there was a cure. SHE HAS THE CURE!! She has this amazing in office laser that just made all my sensitivity disappear after just one session. After going to a different dentist for years, I had no idea this laser even existed. I had horrible pain in my back tooth. Dr. C was so through in asking me questions to get all the details of my pain. She figured out that it was probably all the popcorn I was eating and a bit of it was prob stuck where I got my crown. She was able to numb me up and get in there and lo and behold it was popcorn!! Ok, first I go to this dentist on a recommendation from a friend. My dad was a dentist and I would hang out in the office my entire childhood so I know what is wrong and right and ethical. When I go for a checkup I tell them right off the bat that my teeth are 10/10 sensitive. The hygienist pulls out a sonic cleaner, tells me how wonderful it is and uses it. I almost jump out of the chair. She continues to try to convince me it is wonderful and everyone loves it but me. I finally had to stop her. I had a migraine for a week after the cleaning. First do no harm! Next they found and filled 3 cavities which I don't have faith needed filling now since I have seen them be unethical and incompetent. When I arrived for the fillings an assistant saw me drink water and started yelling throughout the office that I was to be sedated and shouldn't have drunk or eaten since the night before. BS! I wasn't sedated. I had nitrous. The dentist knew that and proceeded of course. While giving me the fillings her(Wendy) and her assistant gossiped the whole time like it wasn't serious what they were doing and like I couldn't hear. And they didn't checkin with me to see how I was doing. I had nitrous, I wasn't unconscious. Geez! One of the fillings still hurts after a year. I prepaid for the fillings to get a discount but as we were checking out, they charged my husband $200 more dollars, I don't know what for. So much for the discount. When my husband went for a checkup they said they could bring in their own surgeon to do implants. So, he scheduled the first step which was 3 extractions. When the extractions were healed, he called for the next steps. They acted like they had no idea what he was talking about. Seriously, they had NO idea what he was talking about. He had to call several times and went in one final time where they gave him an updated schedule of all the work they wanted to do. All of a sudden they tell him he needs 5 crowns in addition to the implants. At this point he is mad, understandably. They are showing him their new plan which they say will cost $11,000. Anyway, those are the highlights of this trainwreck of a practice. I'm tired of going on and on so I'll end it here. read more

I have been coming here for over 5 years and it's been a good experience. My normal hygienist Helene is always very energetic and interesting to talk/listen to. I have a lot of sensitive spots on my teeth and she does a good job working around them during cleaning. They have been up front with giving estimates for work to be done. They will offer up suggestions on optional treatments but I don't feel pressured like I have been at other offices. I would and have recommended them to friends and family. read more

It's been some time since I have been a patient at Crisafulli Dental. Unlike some others on here, I always had a really pleasant, fun, and funny rapport with Dr. Crisafulli. In high school, I had a number of cavities filled--at one exam, she determined the need to have 6 cavities filled which I now feel was probably a bit excessive. The result of having seen her and so many other dentists growing up was lots of dental work. Perhaps it's soft teeth, genetics, not enough fluoride, but I genuinely wonder how much the biz is treatment for profit. I am writing this unsatisfied review because it's been about 6 or 7 years now and the Root Canal that they had done on a back tooth has extreme infection deep within it. I am going to have to pay a lot of money to have it extracted and even more if I choose to get an implant. They clearly did not do an effective job at sanitizing and cleansing the area. I've now had to pay lots of fees for 3D imaging to check on the infection and will pay a lot more because of their shortcomings. I write this out of frustration, disappointment, and in the hope this saves someone else who may have a root canal on their upcoming Crisafulli treatment plan. I sure hope they take the time to respond. read more
