I was in the area, far from my usual go-to Chinese spot, and decided to give Li's Garden a try after reading some mixed reviews online. It seemed like people either loved it or didn't like it at all. I usually keep it simple with Chinese takeout chicken fried rice and chicken lo mein because those are hard to mess up, and I'm not too picky when it comes to those two dishes. I ordered both today, and honestly, I was shocked, neither had any flavor, they did not taste good at all. My friend asked for a shrimp egg roll, and while she said it tasted good, it only had one shrimp in it. I spent nearly $50 and left really disappointed. To be fair, I did call right when they opened at 11 AM, and I'm pretty sure I was the first order of the day. Maybe that had something to do with the lack of flavor like they hadn't gotten into their rhythm yet. The food was ready in 15 minutes, as promised, so the service was quick. This is undoubtedly the worst "Chinese food" I have ever had. The egg rolls were rubbery. The General Tso chicken was horrible. Not sure if the chicken was actually chicken. The rice seems like plastic. We will never patronize the business again. Health inspector should pay them a visit. read more

Li's is a hit or miss depending on what you order. The general tso's chicken is seasoned really well just make sure it's cooked all the way thru. The gravy on the egg foo yung has a sweet taste to it makes it very different. Other than the staff is really cool they always answer questions about anything. The place is always neat & clean. I'm so upset about my experience here.. the cashier was the only good thing about this place. Let me start by saying the rice was HORRIBLE!! It was sticky and well over cooked! The shrimp fried rice only came with 5 shrimp I literally counted each one! The Lo mein was very nasty, as well as the general Tao chicken was very chewy the sauce wasn't as good as expected. Even down to the shrimp egg roll it had a burnt greasy taste to it. EVERYTHING Was dry even the Lo mein.. HOW IS THAT POSSIBLE??! Very upset money wasted Smh. read more

If you're craving decent Chinese food they are fast and accommodating. I usually have to order a lot since it's for the office and I will say they are very good at keeping up with 15 individual orders. The only complaint is that they aren't as consistent with the food they make. Sometimes it's really good and sometimes you can tell it's been sitting out for a while. read more

My favorite thing about Li's is the daily specials they have, a very large portion of food for a steal! I was a tad disappointed to see they are closed on Sundays as this is when I always crave it! My favorite Chinese restaurant! They are always prompt with food and clean. The shrimp and broccoli is my favorite thing on the menu.

This restaurant handles social distancing in a very appropriate manner. For the first time in buying food at stores, I have never seen a restaurant have a microphone for customers to order with AND a glass box to give the food to the customer. And to top it all off, the food I had was amazing. They give you large portions of fried rice that have the right texture and taste as the authentic Chinese delicacy. I ordered the large boneless spare ribs and I absolutely loved it!! I can literally say this was by far the best I have ever had and it is my favorite dish. My boyfriend ordered Mongolian beef and he loved his meal. The food was delicious, inexpensive, and a lot of food. Best fast food chinese in Richmond! I have been going to Li's Garden for at least a year now and I'm never disappointed. They always have the same cooks and the food is great. They give you large portions and rice. I love their garlic shrimp, crab rangoons, general tso's chicken and anything else... Peking used to be my chinese spot but Li's beats them all around and they are cheaper. Check them out when you're on the East End. read more

After searching on Yelp for a nearby Chinese food restaurant. I wish I would've eaten a salad. Unfortunately, my first experience with this restaurant will be my last. Ordered the General Tso Chicken with white rice; been sick for the past two hours! I knew after the second bite that something wasn't right. The rice tasted like it had been bleached and reused, and the meat tasted like it was at least a day or two old. The food is all that great here, but its super super cheap a dinner plate is less than 8 dollars here includes fried rice, egg roll, and entree, all other Chinese places I been too is around 9 to 10, the place itself is pretty clean, only 2 tables if you wanna eat in, but if the food was better then it would have gotten a 5 star but if it wasn't for the super cheap prices it would have gotten a 3 so I compromised and gave it a 4 read more

It's sad to say that this is the best cheap Chinese place anywhere close to Richmond city.
