I'm from Dallas but I was in Chicago for about a week and of course I forgot to pack all my hair supplies lol. I stop in for a wash and style an A Mani an pedi. Miko did my hair wash an style. She was very gentle. I told her I was tinder headed an bleach blonde she listened an was very gentle. I'm picky about the way My hair is laid out and curled and what direction etc I guess I'm very particular lol! She did my hair exactly the way I asked. I got a mani an pedi from Michi she took her time an didn't try to rush me. Absolutely! I have been going to a high end salon for 20 years. Yes my girl was very talented. However, I always wanted to go darker. When I walked in the Liquid Hair Lounge I was at total peace. Miko is amazing, she takes her time. I'm fact she detoxed my hair and put my natural color back in! I have been asking my old salon to do this for soo long. If you want quality nails and service, don't go here. The nail tech had no idea what she was doing. I had a dip mani and no chip pedi appt with Gaby. When I walked in, I showed her the design I was looking for. She said she could do it. The time came where she was working on my dip mani, she had no idea how to get the design on my nails and even kept asking me what to do. I have always had dip manicures with designs and never had a problem with any nail salon. There were already several red flags before the design fiasco, she seemed all over the place, couldn't get nail polish to open, dropped the dip powder container multiple times etc. I still tried to remain patient and let her continue with what I originally asked, little did I know that was a huge waste of time and she just did not have the skills needed to do the job. When the owner of the salon asked her why I was being refunded, she kept explaining I didn't like the design. Of course I didn't like the design, it was nothing like I was looking for and it looked like a hot mess. Whether it was getting added on dip or no chip or regular polish, the design was not the quality you would want out of a salon that charges an additional $11 per nail design. Even the simple French nail was crooked! Please own up to your mistakes instead of arguing with a customer. Gaby then implies I knew from the beginning that they couldn't do designs on dip and that when walking in I said I wanted a no chip mani. Please remember the exact convo - I was asked if I had no chip on my nails already and I said yes. I booked this appt ahead of time indicating what I needed done - a dip mani and no chip pedi. She should have advised way ahead and said a design was not do-able and that she would not recommend to do dip if I wanted a design. If she 100% knew what she was doing, she should have said she couldn't do the design at all. Instead she kept going, acting like she knew what needed to be done. I would have left there without needing to leave this review, but the fact that Gaby had the audacity to blame everything on a customer was ridiculous. To the owner of the salon, please hire skilled nail techs and train your employees to have more respect for customers. I was in there for 5 hours, 3 of which were spent on a mani that turned out horrible. I was trying to be patient and give them a chance/benefit of the doubt but them arguing at the end led me to warn customers to not go here if you're looking for quality service ESPECIALLY when they mess up. read more

I cannot tell you how much Miko means to me. She's is the most genuine person ever. Will always be real with you (I'm low maintenance) and she even called me out when I had a mullet (long story of a hair-regrow journey) I have followed Miko around the city the last 6 years and she's a hair goddess, plain and simple. LHL is all her's and it's such a cute shop. She can have the TV going for you, drinks available and a great conversation. It's a very comfortable and calm environment. She uses plant-based products and has beauty products on sale too. Every time I leave I feel like a queen! Miko did a great job with my hair today! I originally had a purple/red/pink strip in my hair with many different layers and I wanted a blonde instead. Miko was able to lift it light enough to nearly get a full blonde but due to my hair having so many hair color layers I had an option to do an ashy/mushroom brown and I love it a lot more than a blonde! Her and Koasia were very nice and accommodating and the place has a very nice vibe, I would definitely come back again! read more

Great full-service salon. I've been having my hair cut and styled by Miko, who is a fantastic colorist and stylist. This past Sunday I dropped by Liquid for a hair appointment, and also made appointments for a facial and nails; and it happened to be their Sunday Spa Day. The facial was done by Sylvia and nails done by Koasia. I am really pleased with the facial, Sylvia is a skilled esthetician she uses quality products and really knows her stuff when it comes to skin care. She had my face feeling so refreshed and looking glowing and refreshed. I'll definitely add Sylvia's facials to my selfcare routine. Koasia is also very skilled at her craft of nails and had my hands and nails looking marvelous. Oh, and Sunday Spa Day is great there were small bites and mimosas.
