I give this nail salon 5 stars for one reason: Yenny's customer service. It was yet another dark and stormy night in Miami and I realllly needed a mani/pedi. I mean really. I only had an hour and a half because I had dropped my son off at soccer practice nearby. I yelped to find an open salon in the area, and saw most closed at 700 and it was 645. I called the salon, Yenny answered and told me to come on over after consulting her staff to ask if anyone willing to stay late. I arrived shortly after 7 (although I was less than a mile away) traffic. I was greeted with a smile and offered a glass of mimosa. Declined the OJ but accepted the champagne (rough day). An older lady whose name escapes me began on my pedi. While she wasn't the best nail technician, she sure was nice and my heart goes out to anyone who has to subject their back to bending over for hours all day, everyday. Turns out she needed to leave early to catch a ride so Yenny (who just bought the salon) took over. She made up for the other lady's deficiencies. Fast, thorough and professional! By this time it was already 815. I had previously inquired about having my eyebrows done. I mentioned to her that it was already too late but she wouldn't have it. She took me to the back, waxed my eyebrows and said it was on the house! Needless to say I was a happy camper, and will definitely return with this kind of service which is so lacking at so many salons. Thank you, Yenny! read more

This salon is located in a shopping center across from Tamiami park. The salon is beautifully decorated & has a very quaint and glamorous vibe! The pedicure chairs are really nice and comfortable. There was nice background music which added nicely to provide a vibe. There have a wide range of colors and brands such as Essie, Opie, Orly & Masglo. I showed up on a Friday at 1:30pm without an appointment so it was nice they took me as a walk in without major wait. The nail tech that did my pedicure was very sweet. My pedicure was good and not badly priced for $20.00. She took about 40 min which was also not bad at all. I am giving this place 3 stars simply because I don't feel the customer service was as good as it could of been. Upon my arrival no one kindly welcomed me. I do not even know where to begin on this one. It's times like these that I'm left wondering how on earth some places can have such high ratings on Yelp. Clearly it is because: 1) you had a different nail technician than I did and 2) you speak Spanish. I arrived at noon and I didn't leave until 1:45 pm for a simple gel manicure. Granted it took time to soak off what I already had on so we probably started closer to 12:30, but still... hot damn! The woman who did my nails (didn't catch her name, she sat at the first table in the front) seemed either inexperienced or language was too much of a barrier for her, even though the customers were helping to translate. Yes, that's right, not even one of the employees spoke good enough English to assist with the situation. I'm sure that I was making her nervous watching every move like a hawk, because if I didn't say something, one hand would have been left unfiled. She tried to argue with me that she had, in fact, filed them, when they were (and still are, actually) uneven AF. Beyond that, I asked her to cut my nails, which was of course translated by the nearby customers, and she takes out... (OMG THE HORROR IN RELIVING THIS CHAIN OF EVENTS)... a small scissors. WHAT??? You are actually going to cut my nails with a scissors? I asked if she had clippers, I'm certain she didn't understand me, I'm clearly at this point shocked and dismayed, but she insists. I felt like I was in a cosmetology slasher movie. As she started painting on the color, my beloved pale pink Hello Kitty which I've gotten a million times other places and it's always looked amazing, we both noticed the "streakyness" and I made a sour face, and she had the never to (in her broken English) blame it on the color. I can't. I think she started to try to suggest starting over which is not an option in any way shape or form because a) she doesn't know what the hell she is doing and it won't matter what color it is and b) I simply don't have time. So I told her the latter and she started to pick up the pace a bit. At the end she asked me if I liked it and I said it was just alright. She didn't offer a hand massage or put lotion at the end. She probably saw the "please just get me the F outta here" plea in my eyes. Since the place looked super cheap on the inside... 100% no frills, five manicure stations cramped on one side that you literally had to play tetris to wheel around the desks and chairs to walk... I assumed that this would at least be cheaper than what I'm used to spending. But no! The worst part is the $30 I still had to spend when I'm probably going to have it all taken off tomorrow. If there were any degree of customer service here I would have complained and allowed them to make things right with me, but since no one spoke English and I had already invested almost two hours of my life at this place I decided to just cough it up and give her a $5 tip. I've literally never given less than a 20% tip before today. I also hate leaving 1 star reviews but in this case it was just warranted. I'm sure some of the other technicians there do a much better job, I was eyeing the others with envy when mine started looking like crapola. Looks like the search continues... read more

I've been to plenty of nail salons all over South Florida and this by far is one of my favorites if not my favorite. I always feel so welcomed and relaxed coming here. Every one is so nice and accomadating. I LOVE Caty!! Caty is very detail oriented.I bought a Groupon months ago and ditched my old nail place and I've never looked back. They have plenty of colors. I'm extremely indecisive and I always find plenty of colors and a patient and helpful nail tech. There's plenty of parking as well. At any given time there's always cafecito being passed around and also tons of conversations with the nail tech's and customers. Everyone feels so relaxed. Like you're having a mani-pedi with a bunch of girlfriends. You definitely can't beat the price. I walked in and asked if they sterilize everything and one of the girls said, verbatim, "of course we do, this isn't one of those Chinese places" ummm ok, unnecessary comment not only because it was rude (I know, maybe not rude to 90% of people , but I'm very sensitive to those kind of comments in a professional setting...actually in any setting) but also because I've been to Chinese places that were 1000000000 times better with cleanliness, and friendliness and service. But ok I decided to give the place a shot anyway. One star because they took me in right away without appointment, another star because my nail technician Gretel was warm and welcoming, and the third one is just because maybe they were having an off day. BUT that being said they place is kind of dirty looking. They have big gaudy white chairs that desperately need to be wiped down with some Clorox beach wipes and scrubbed with magic erasers. They have a dirty towel with nail polish all over it and on that they ask you to place your feet for the pedicure. I would have said something but I didn't notice the dirty towel until she dried my feet with it and then I was grossed out . She might have noticed my expression because then she went to get another towel. I tried to take some pictures but the sound was on in my phone and my camera made such a huge noise when I took the one and only picture, that all the technicians turned to look at me..so I gave myself away and basically didn't take anymore. You can't really see the extent of the nail polish stains on the towel from the pictures but I posted it anyway. There is no foot or hand massage here and the pedicure and manicure was a bit on the rough side; my cuticles felt raw. I was a bit disappointed because I walked in asking for a gel mani pedi and I'm not sure how but the girl got confused and well I ended up with neither, but no big deal it happens. I was sent to the back to scrub my own nails with a brush after my manicurist filed them, not what I'm used to from a full service manicure but I complied and what I saw didn't seem very sterile; I saw them just hand washing items and placing them back to dry and no autoclave in sight not even a splash of that blue liquid that barbers use, I decided not to use the brush. Overall, everything was less than alright but also gross. The mani/pedi did last a long time though so that's a plus. I think the only thing they really have to work on is cleanliness and well I guess that's a pretty big thing when it comes to the business they're in. I would definitely not go again. read more

I really love this place. They are very friendly and at a very affordable price. $19.99 for a mani and pedi. I got my mani pedi done last Friday and it has lasted me 9 days without chips. I think it's because of the quality of the nail polish and the service. Grisset is the lady who did my nails and she knew the nail polish colors names without looking at them. She recommended the colors that would look best which I really appreciated. It took around an hour. I suggest you call and make an appointment. One tip is to make sure that you bring cash because of you pay with credit card they charge you a credit card fee of $2. My acrylics came out so bad the owner decided to charge me $15 because she realized how horrendous my nails were. Did my nails yesterday, asked for a gel mani and regular pedi. My thumb nail polish is not evenly distributed, my cuticles were left full of polish, and the powder is already wearing off. I didn't even go into work or so anything that involved my hands for the polish to be rubbing off already. The manicurist was not very sure on how to apply the powder. Decided to come back, hoping for a better experience and also because I moved close to the area and my go-to nail tech does not do regular manicures nor pedicures. I regret it for the same reason as last time - the owner is stand offish and rude. I had dip powder removed which I replaced with a regular manicure and also had a regular pedicure. The owner's reaction when she saw the tech attempting to remove the remainder of the powder (after 2-3 prior attempts), just stated as a matter of fact that all my nails were going to break and that it's up to me but that red would be a bad choice because my nails were so weak that they would be stained, guaranteed. Now, I understand she is a nail tech herself and would like to think she knows her stuff but I would appreciate it being said in a tone that does not belittle me. The tech, I forgot her name, incredibly kind and funny but she did not know how to remove the dip powder, so I was at the salon for about 2 hours. The polish barely lasted 3 days, I decided to do my nails myself and used red polish and not a single stain. Did all my nails break? Yes, they did and I will accept that the owner was correct although I am not sure if it's because of the process of trying to remove the powder or if it's because the powder was that damaging. I had had powder removed previously and my nails were not damaged like they were here and it took 15-20 minutes max. Overall, dissatisfied. I was hoping the second chance would be better since I did used to enjoy going there with my go-to tech but I will look elsewhere. read more

When I walked in I expected to pay maybe $30-$35, well I was charged $48 plus $2 for paying with a credit card. I paid, sat down in my car to review prices. I called back and I was told that acrylic refill was $15, gel was $30, plus the nail repair of $3 equaled the $48. Never in my life, not even in coral gables drinking champagne, have I paid $48 for a gel and acrylic refill, specially when their price list reflects this service as $25. Never going back. They pay attention to all the small details that matter most. They do great manicures and it's a comfortable environment. They even have these great kings thrown chairs that make you feel like royalty when you sit in them.. I felt like I was transported to New York or even la. I'm happy I found them and will say, they do great manicure and the price is unbeatable. 10$ for a manicure and an unbelievable special of $20.00 for pedicure with a free manicure included. I came here a few months ago and saw the photos on Yelp of what looked like great nails. I called and found out that they offered a good price (mani / pedi for $20) so I went ahead and set up an appointment and went. When I get there, I was put with a nail technician that had a lip ring, long black hair and was wearing big, exaggerated gold jewelry. In other words, she looked like a chonga. This made me uncomfortable and made a bad first impression on me. I thought that I shouldn't judge by appearances though and should just go ahead and get my nails done for the first appointment anyway. While she was doing my nails, she was cursing in Spanish a lot and started talking on the phone while doing my nails. She kept talking about how she was stressed out all throughout doing my nails and this basically stressed me out during my appointment. In fact, the whole point of why I was getting my nails done in the first place was to destress. The entire appointment ended up being awkward and uncomfortable for me. I've tried to think about going back since they offered such a good price for a mani/pedi. When I really think about it more, this whole experience made me never want to come back here. read more

I'm sad to say but I have to give this place one star. I thought it was going to be great. I walked in and the place was cute and clean. My manicurist was alone waiting for me to come in for my appointment. I tried this place because the prices were decent and it was nearby. As she began I realized she was REALLY alone. She was answering the phones and attending people as they came in. During my entire manicure she must of stopped about 10 times to talk to someone or get up or do something. Now I'm not for someone slaving over me. I honestly don't care. But when it begins affecting what my nails look like I'm concerned. I'm updating my review because I went back to this nail salon after a few months of being out of state and after recommending so many of my friends & this is what happened. My experience when I went this last time, I walked in on a Friday afternoon with no appt to do two mani pedis... With that being said, I know its a Friday afternoon and I wasn't going in expecting to be seated. I knew there was a chance I might not be attended to because it's Friday and I have no appt, & that was okay in my book. However, what upset me was as follows... When I walked in one of the technicians greeted me and told me that I might not be able to be seen.. Then she asked the owner (whom last time I spoke to was such a sweet heart), if anyone can seat us (mind you I was 3 feet away from her), and she starts telling the technician to let me know that I can't be seen today. Then the technician proceeds to tell me what the owner said when I had clearly heard her. So I directly asked the the owner a question, she doesn't even look me in the eye, & let's the technician know her answer so the technician can tell me. Ummm hello I'm right here next to you why do you have to talk to a third person to talk to me??!? The whole situation was extremely rude and I felt a little disrespected as paying costumer. However, it was a Friday afternoon and anyone can have a day off where they're not in their best mood so I was going to give her the benefit of a doubt, & call in to make an appt for a different day. Until I spoke to my friends whom I've recommended this place to and have had similar rude experiences. I won't go into detail because this review is already lengthy. However, they were something along the lines of the, first time they went in the owner was super nice, next time their visit was a total chaos! So I'm guessing they're very inconsistent with their service there. Maybe I'll give this place another shot in the future and update my review but till then this stands. read more

Wish I could give 0 stars since that was the quality of my experience. I called on a Thursday at 5:20 to ask if they were accepting walk ins for an acrylic full-set. They told me to come in at 6. They were able to accommodate me on short notice, so I'll give them that. The nail tech was bad. I have multiple cuts and red spots around my nails from how clumsy she was. At one point I had to pull my hand back while she was filing down because of how much pain I was in. Not mention that the technique was sloppy. Way too thick when I specifically asked for thin nails. On top of that, they were crooked. It took two hours. I've been getting acrylics for a couple years now and it's never taken two hours. By the time she finished applying the nail polish, I was the last customer there. To top it all off, she didn't even dry my nails when she was done, she simply sent me on my way to the front desk to pay. Never coming back here again, horrible experience. read more

My nails came out great but I couldn't get used to having long nails so I went back to regular manicures.
