Extremely Disappointed with LIQ at Glendale Galleria I had one of the worst customer experiences I've ever encountered at this store. I visited LIQ on a Saturday and purchased a pair of shoes, clearly requesting a size 7. The salesperson gave me a 7.5 without even confirming. After realizing the mistake at home, I returned to exchange them. At that time, I decided to purchase another pair and again specifically asked Michael for a size 7. Yet again, I was given a 7.5. When I returned a second time due to their repeated mistake, I was told there are no refunds--even though it was their staff who provided the wrong size on both occasions. This was not my fault. They did not have my correct size in stock and refused to issue a refund, offering only store credit. When I asked to speak with a supervisor, Jorge was put on the phone and incredibly told me to "go f*** off." Completely unprofessional and unacceptable behavior, especially from someone in a management role. To make matters worse, when I became visibly frustrated (which any reasonable person would be), they called security on me. There is in-store video footage that clearly shows me requesting a size 7 both times. This is not how customers should be treated--especially when the mistake is entirely on the store. First off, I never expected to be in this store. We've been having the hardest time finding the Air Force 1s and came across this store on our way to Vans. Vans had a line out the door so we bypassed it and as we were heading to Macy's, this place caught our eye. My son dislikes shopping (likes to keep it brief and quick as possible; find what he needs and leave as quickly as possible) and this is the very first time I could not get him out of a store because he wanted to check almost everything out. He needs shoes for school as expected this time of year and after visiting Liq, he couldn't be more stoked with the shoes. Initially, we just wanted one pair of white sneakers, and after the sales guy's patient and helpful suggestions, my son found a second pair he really loved that wasn't even on display. We received excellent customer service because of the sales guys' patience, and knowledgeable helpful suggestions. He ensured the comfort, size and "wriggle room" of each pair. The last thing we want is to buy these shoes and for my son to outgrow it in a month. So not only did we find an additional pair my son loved, but he got his Air Force 1's in the crisp clean white, finally. Stock is still limited I think, but we caught sight of two pairs out on the floor and our size we needed was in the back room. I am so sorry we can't recall his name, but he was on the floor (curly dark hair) around 5pm today Sunday 8/8/21. Thank you so much for your time and help today. I took my grandson to buy shoes and came across this place. I should have walked out when they told me they didn't have a brannock device, but hey they are the experts right? The guy tells me a size four is what my grandson needs and goes on to assure me that he has more than an inch of room. I asked him why they looked tight and he said that was normal because it was leather. Turns out the shoe doesn't fit AND THEY ARE SIZE THREE!!!!! WTF!!!! So I call the store and the same guy says come in and we will exchange it. We'll they wouldn't exchange the shoe because he said they were worn. Now mind you, my grandson always has at least six pairs of shoes and never have I had a problem with a shoe after a sale person has sized him. The best part about this store i definitely the customer service. Both the employees were extremely nice and tried to help everyone as much as possible. The store was also pretty roomy and was able to fit a large crowd easily. However, the prices appeared to be extremely high for everything. Same story as everyone else. Definitely should have checked their yelp page before shopping here. Just happened to walk into the store as I was shopping in Victoria Gardens with the wife. We stumbled upon the Curry Dunks and really loved them. As I was asking for the price the salesperson told me they just dropped to $265. Made an impulse decision and decided to get them. When I got rung up at the register the price ended up being just under $315 which made me do a double take and ask why it was so much higher and the worker told me "oh the size you got (size 10) is actually $290". At this point, I should have known better to pull out my phone and check StockX. But I figured this is a legitimate shoe business since they have a really nice storefront in a higher end shopping mall. So I made the purchase. When I got home, I then decided to check StockX. Of course, the exact shoe I got could be purchased there for $170 including fees. Just as everyone else said, they do not take refunds because they know that they are ripping people off and when they find out they will of course want to return the shoes and be refunded. In conclusion, this business is here to solely rip people off and they have trained their salespeople to make it seem like you are getting a fair deal on their shoes. While the workers are pleasant and nice, they are also blatantly stealing money from customers because they know their shoes are priced at double what they are actually worth in the market. I really did want to love this place as the customer service is so pleasant and they have a great selection, but they seriously need to reevaluate their pricing. I had what I thought was a great experience up until the whole point of being there, the purchasing part, that was the dealbreaker. I went in because as I walked by I saw the shoes I have been looking for (Comme des Garçon play x Converse high tops, the ones with the hearts.) Someone kindly helped find my size and gave me the low tops to try as well. It was the guy with a wrist tattoo of the symbol for "God is greater than the highs and lows", I'm sorry I didn't catch his name but I made sure I thanked him for his help. Unfortunately, when I went to buy them, another employee rang me up and told me they were going to be $300. I asked him why so expensive, and I told him I saw this exact pair at Nordstrom for $150. He said with certainty that "these go for $280." So I said well I'm sorry, in that case I'll go buy them at Nordstrom instead. I did just that, for the $150 plus tax (and I got 10% cash back with Rakuten so technically $135.) Overall, I think its wrong for them to price their shoes so high, especially when they're unwilling to price match. I expected a markup to maybe about $150 so I didn't bother asking what the price was. Employee rings us up and and the total is $397!!! Holy S@!#!! The employees are extremely unprofessional I called and explained that they sold me "duds" as an authentication shoe place told me that I got screwed and they proceeded to offer me $16 because they feel bad I paid $485 for fake shoes that I could have gotten for $220. Tino who is the boss of everyone's boss around the liq chain apparently, handled my situation terribly. I went with my girlfriend to buy a revenge shirt in the Montclair location. That costed $120, we get one and realize there is a bunch of sticky residue all over the inside as if it was gum or lipstick. With the "ALL SALES ARE FINAL" policy in mind being an hour and a half away, we tried our best getting the stain out including going to the cleaners, and it just never came out. As soon as any moisture got onto the stain, it would become stickier. So we go back to Montclair to see what could be done. We get there and explain what happened showing the dry cleaning receipt and proof of purchase with the tag, the Boss of the Montclair doesn't even bother to come out, instead tells the worker to tell us to try the Rancho Cucamonga because Tino could probably help us out. We take the 30 minute drive there just to be told, "I'm not saying you made the mistake, but you took it to get cleaned, therefore we can't take it back". He was stating this as if he could have even sold the shirt had we not taken the shirt to the cleaners. The stain doesn't come out no matter what and should not have been sold in the first time place!! 2 hours and time trying to get the sticky unknown stain out plus 120$ down the drain.
