Went 12-25-2025. Absolutely the worst food that I have put in my mouth. Terrible selection of meat/chicken/pork items. What they did have, it all tastes the same. Tried the hibachi steak, had plastic spoons forks and knives and paper plates, so I had to take my pocket knife to cut the steak( terrible ). I ordered the hot and sour soup and an order of beef fried rice. The hot and sour soup was tasteless and the beef fried rice looks curry fried. I mean it's curry yellow. I wish I could post pictures. Everything was hot but I couldn't eat it, it was that bad. They also included two bags of stale wonton strips and three fortune cookies. The fortune cookies were good. One of my favorite restaurants even though it's all the way in Glasgow I used to love to go on Sundays and eat the Buffay and maybe get some frog legs. Everything was fresh and exceptionally prepared. The service were always exceptional. They were always polite and went out of their way to answer your questions or make sure you had everything that you needed. The ambience was amazing as well. A lot of people bringing their families and everybody relaxed and having a really good time enjoying the food. I just have a problem with moms let their little ones go up and get food because they always say love doing something that makes you not want to eat whatever they're around you, but I know our moms are not like that. read more

Great customer service all around. Waitress was very attentive. Got greeted and helped very well. To begin with this buffet was pretty big honestly and in a great place too. The part that's a little confusing is where the entrance is at other than that everything is pretty good. Their sushi is so good I loved it they have a lot of good ones to be honest. Also they have a place where they can grill food they you want which is mainly meet or chicken I like when buffet places have this kind of stuff. Had hi hopes for this place, considering the detail of the other reviews. Would like to put out there the first thing you are greeted with is a little room filled with cell phone case and hats covered in dust. Looks like your walking into a pawn shop. The booth they sat us at was broken. So every time you sat or got up, you would have to fight your way out of hole. The food was all old and dry. the chicken nuggets could break a tooth. And all the meat was chewy and felt like rubber. The sushi was rotten, there was dark brown avocado in them. All of the food you could tell was the lowest quality possible. And some not even real food. They had five dishes that were all imitation crab. Everyone that was seated by us hardly touch their food and expressed how grossed out they were when they left. I was pleasantly surprised to find a place that had fresh food that actually had some flavor in the middle of no where. Lots and lots of options, even ones you don't see normally at a Chinese buffet. Moved to town from Louisville about 3 weeks ago to be near family. My sister and I , both lovers of Chinese Buffets tried New Century last week. Was it the best Chinese food we ever tasted? WELL, NO. It was just good food with a very decent variety to choose from. Since we agreed we liked it a lot and the price is right, we went back tonight. Well I had high hopes for this restaurant but was not really what I expected. I must say it was very clean and the food on the buffet was fresh. I went on a Sunday at noon when it was fairly busy. I did not like eating with a plastic spork and paper plates.I also did not appreciate the workers yelling at each other in Chinese in the dining room! That being said, it seemed like the flavors were a bit off with some of the dishes. With a little work on the recipes and more common Chinese flavor combinations it could be much better. Overall it is really the only serious game in town so I can only hope they can make some minor adjustments. read more

Glasgow finnaly has a proper Asian restaurant. Their food is awesome with lots of variety and cooked properly. I wish Lin's all the best and will be eating there regularly. They have overhauled the restaurant with better lighting and the place is spotless. The staff is young and energetic and it reflects in their menu. I love New Century as we go there every once and awhile. We havent been there in a long time and decided to go there getting American Food and remembering how much I love it. There food is good, the floors are clean, etc. I get bad service however whenever its crowded which i don't blame them but today i had to wait 10 minutes for drinks. These kinds of chinese american buffet-style restaurants get a bad rap because of a negative perception that is debatable, but I give New Century Buffet a solid four stars because despite the negative connotations this restaurant has the most consistent offerings around, and a good chinese buffet is hard to find in SOKY. Dare I say it is the best Chinese American buffet-style restaurant in South Central Kentucky. Please bring back the Gyoza. So good! read more

It's a Chinese buffet. This isn't Tavern On The Green or some fancy smancy place. Go in and the staff will seat you and take your drink order. The food is good and you eat all you can handle. There's a wide variety and the pizza is always pretty good. Yeah, pizza at the Chinese place. Who knew! The fruit is always fresh and you can make a fresh vegetable salad bigger than your head. They offer stir fry on the grill and it's good, every time. I don't eat sushi, long story but nobody complains about it. I see plenty of guests chowing down on it so the people have spoken about the sushi. *Thumbs Up* My favorite is the fried rice with hibachi chicken. The last time that I went I had to wait for a "robust" lady to get out of my way and then a kid jumped in front of me or it was a little person. I wasn't sure since it was all so confusing but I finally got my fried rice with hibachi chicken. That's the crown jewel among the many offerings. Eat it and I dare you not to like it. The place is clean but I judge a joint by the bathroom cleanliness and neighbor, this place has a bathroom that I was proud to use. The soap had a nice smell to it and how can that not fire you up about getting at that luscious buffet! Overall, I would give it 6 stars but you know, 5 is top shelf. Go, eat and wear stretchy pants. love eating at this place lots and lots of food to choose from and every thing is good and hot and as soon as something becomes empty there is someone coming to fill it back up and they are kid friendly not like some other places that watch every bite you take you can get off another plate and nothing is said god forbid if you do that at another restaurant in Glasgow we have a two year old and he loves their shrimp we give him a couple of pieces and a couple chicken nuggets and they are ok with that and to me that means a lot and says a lot about their service for their customers and that they are not worried to death about a few little bites of food but at the other restaurant im talking about you have to order a full size meal for a child that wont even eat but three or four bites and the rest goes in the trash so THANK YOU New Century Buffet for being kid friendly to our two year old and not sure what the age limit starts at but i'll be fine with it when he reaches that age will be glad to pay. cant wait im going tomorrow to eat there now if only I can control myself "YUMMMY".... . read more
