    CiCi's Store Front

I have visited the CiCi's pizza location on a few occasions since it has been in the Buckhead Square strip mall over years. On this evening I was craving a pizza buffet even though I know the quality of the food is standard fare but I had a free soft drink coupon expiring with the purchase of a buffet. I did get to use my coupon and thankfully the restaurant location still had food on the bar and was actively preparing some but upon my first impression it really did lead me to wonder. I stopped in this place about five minutes past 7 pm and arrived to an admittedly nearly empty and already partially closed restaurant. I saw chairs already up on tables in a section and a young man mopping which I can only imagine such started happening somewhere in the 6 pm hour. Seeing such activity made for a really great impression of a warm and inviting atmosphere and especially since the location was not set to close until around 9pm [note sarcasm]. Yes, I do like clean tables, floors, and a kitchen of a restaurant just as much as the next person but seeing such so early rubbed me wrong. Now, I do understand that since during and after the Covid pandemic the labor market of worker shortages has been difficult for a wide variety of businesses to navigate. Though, if a business is going to all but openly prepare for closing three or four hours before the advertised closing time then just be open for takeout/carry out for otherwise is bad business. Of note I dined solo and I am normally accustomed to the experience. I'd however hate to imagine if I had a family of four or more or was one of those coaches/parents feeding a youth athletic team.

This photo is from outside and the same dirty plates were there when I arrived an hour ago.

This place has really went downhill. The food was not updated the entire time I was here. Pasta was cold. Cheese pizza was good but pepperoni had been out long enough that it was actually hard. The ice machine was getting stuck in the on position when filling up your drink and there was ice overflowing from the machine and out on the floor. I first thought some kids must have made a mess but saw the problem when I took my own cup away from the machine and it continues to spew out ice for a few more seconds. I was at the location for about an hour starting at 1:30 pm. Many tables were dirty and some even had plates that were not cleared. No one came out and cleaned tables the entire hour and it was not very busy. Bathrooms were atrocious to the point that I turned around and went to another bathroom somewhere else. The cleanliness of the establishment makes me wonder how clean they are while making the food. I don't want to think about that too hard! It was unacceptable. Do better CiCis.

Absolutely one of the worst experiences ever! Walked in and no one at the register - waited about 2 min for the store manager to arrive. Proceeded to place an order for 3 adult buffets and one kids buffet. Rang up kids meal so I mentioned the family night kids eat free special. She proceeded to tell me in a very rude tone that I had to have a coupon. I proceeded to pull up the CiCi's MAIN WEB PAGE to show her the advertisement. She huffed and charged me for 3 large drinks. I explained that we only needed one drink. She said you have to get three to get the special. Absolutely unbelievable. Here is the screen shot of the main page. This place should just close down! Wow..just walked out and saw sign that says, "Under New Management!!" It was the manager who was so rude!

I asked for a Mac & Cheese pizza but I guess you were too busy to make it. Don't offer to do it if you're not earnest in doing so. $8.99

I thought revenge is the only dish best served cold. $8.99 for a buffet where the employee just shifts pieces from one pan to the other until someone else walks in to order.

The buffalo chicken pizza isn't too bad!

Average pizza. Average salad bar. Desserts were decent. Ability for new pizzas was low.

Pleasantly Kicked Out of Our Comfort Zone:…read more What a Gorgeous Night to be out & about, with Beau, on the night before the Full Moon, during Derby Week, in Bowling Green. We'd never been here before, thus, we were new to this scene! Even stepping in seemed an experience, following behind two ladies, donned in Derby Hats, & their two dapper gentlemen, who smiled, held open the door, & graciously waved us in!! Then, at a long table we happily joined, our extended, car fanatic family. Thus, the festivities began, as our evening flowed pleasantly.. What We Found : Service: Friendly & Attentive.. Our iced tea was refilled & our tables kept clean. And our server, steered us in the right direction, in recommending the Surf & Turf dinner, which was Delightful.. Ambiance: Lofty & Modern Aesthetic, with Rustic Elements. (But still too modern, for our liking). Nearby, seemed a nicer table: with a wooden tent like canopy, situated near a great hearth.. Food: Generous portions of entrees & sides. The hearty sides, are served family style. We ordered: Bacon Cornbread; Mac & Cheese; Roasted Brussel Sprouts; Roasted Mushrooms; & Truffle Fries. These Tasted Divine... Especially the bacon cornbread, served with a dollop of brown butter, which disappeared in no time!! Whilst our Surf & Turf Dinner, of: Shrimp & Beef, served on skewers, atop a bed of Fried Rice, Kicked Us Out of Our Comfort Zone. This was quite unlike the country cuisine of Bowling Green, for so long known!! And, the horseradish sauce, served alongside, seemed rich & robust!! Indeed, the menu seemed to convey the chef's creative touch!! However, our friend beside us, bemoaned that his elk steak dinner, was mostly burnt!! To the staff, not saying a word!! Moreover, Beau found his Strawberry Shortcake, a tad too dry. But from Beau's pretty dessert, to the Almond Cake, ordered at the table--all seemed a pastry feast for the eyes!! Overall: We Found This Classy Venue, A Welcome Change From The Familiar..Hearty Southern Fare, Fine Tuned With A Touch Of The Exotic!! So Happy To Say: We Loved It !!

We ordered everything to go, and the food was packed perfectly, which really mattered since we were traveling. We spent a few days in Bowling Green and wish we had found this place sooner. The pho was the standout. The meatballs were hands down the best I've ever had, and I've been to many pho restaurants. The broth was rich, portions were generous, and everything tasted fresh. My kids ordered Chinese and Japanese dishes, while my wife and I went with Korean options, and every meal was excellent. Big portions, amazing flavors, and nothing felt rushed or sloppy. It's easy to see why this spot is a local favorite. We'll absolutely be back next time we're in town.

Perfect texture and perfectly seasoned. Sad part was it does not come with nuoc mam dipping sauce, but a generic sweet and sour sauce. Other that that, an A rating! -P5 Pho Dac Biet. Absolutely phenomenal bowl of pho! Broth was hot, not too sweet, and perfectly seasoned. Was quite surprised being that it's one of the only Vietnamese restaurants in the area. Came with the normal Veggies that go in Pho. Do not skip on the Pho! A+ bowl of pho! -Atmosphere. A little dim , restroom not that clean. Overall a B.

We haven't been there in maybe two months and this time when we walked in it looked all refreshed like someone had come in and redid their tables and they had new menus and it looked really nice. However, what was lacking was the quality of the service and the food. I remember feeling like I was at someone's house because it was very comfortable and family feeling especially by the wait staff this time we walked in and instead of saying pick where you want to sit like they used to some girl sat us over on a side of the room. OK no problem then they handed us these new menus and there was no soup. Usually they give you free soup then some other lady came over with the soup and put it on the table then they took our order and the waitress seemed like we were bothering her. They brought out the food. The quality of the food went down big time. My husband always orders the chicken yakisoba so does my daughter, my daughter also ordered a sushi roll. I ordered hibachi steak and instead of rice I wanted noodles. My husband and daughter said that their food didn't taste like it used to and my hibachi steak (now mind you I had a hibachi steak at a different Japanese restaurant in Georgia so I'm thinking it's going to taste the same.) She even asked me how I wanted my steak cooked and I said, medium rare. I got little squares of very overcooked pieces of meat that looked like they went to the store and bought some stew beef (at the other Japanese restaurant that we went to it was actually filet mignon.) The steak was hard and rubbery at the other restaurant. It was beautifully cooked. Also, my noodles tasted like they were drenched in teriyaki sauce, which I can't stand. Everything was too sweet and I will probably not ever go back there now.
