Microwave, Mini Frig, T.V with Cable. Small coffee pot set up. A desk, table 2 chairs. Hangers and luggage rack. There is a great Pool which is a big perk. Unfortunately, this year was to cold to swim. We had swam last year and it was great! There is a Supermarket across the street and the beach not far at all. The motel provides an informative binder. The town center is actually within walking distance for most people about 1/4 to 1/2 miles away. Becareful though, the road in front of the property, at the traffic lights gets very busy. We witnessed a bad car accident while waiting to cross the street, the 1st year. A Continental Breakfast with delicious homemade muffins is served every morning. To be totally transparent and give a 100% honest review these next things were a few minor issues that only happened our last visit. The water pressure in the shower was very slow. No shower liner, (not the problem) the fabric curtian got soaking wet and wet the whole floor, causing a slipping hazzard. The soap and shampoo/conditioners weren't filled. We were supposed to be given a second key that was never dropped off. Had the T.V. shut off at about 10pm while we were watching, out of nowhere. I called the office to let the staff know and got a NOT my problem response, that I wasn't excepting. This year we had tried to book 2 days again, but only one was available. We decide to take the 1 night and pay more then we would have elsewhere. No sure about next year.

On the bay side of the cape, this beach has relatively calm and shallow waters, perfect for families or those who don't typically enjoy rough waves. High tide leaves a narrow but lengthy stretch of sand to stake out. Low tide reveals a massive sandbar, perfect for sand castles and lounging around. A bit rocky when you are first wading in but take the time and find the paths through the rocks that people create and you'll reach the rest of the sand in no time. Small parking lot for town permit holders. An overflow lot (where Massachusetts State Park pass holders can pull in as well) is available a couple minutes walk up the road. Port-a-potties are available in-lot during the summer months. Both days I visited, an ice cream truck made an appearance. Otherwise, the beach is basic without additional amenities. Not too crowded on the mid-summer weekdays that I visited. Great beach option for your Cape getaway. Next time I'm down, I'll definitely return.

Because of the unique geography you can see a stunning sunset over the water here. During low tide you can walk out on the sand quite far to the West. This is the place on the Cape that you want to go to see a spectacular sunset! Can get crowded but there's plenty of parking and it's free after 5:30 pm. A lovely spot for a romantic stroll or just to imagine the historic encounter that took place here.

He proceeded to go back to his truck, a white pickup, and then decided to vandalize my car. The beach is perfect for families with little ones. The sand is soft and there is plenty of shade from trees. The rope off swimming area is perfect for toddlers to walk around in because you don't have to worry about waves. It only costs $8 to access the park. You can pay by credit card so no sweating bringing cash with you. There is plenty of parking in a parking lot that is next to the beach. Handy cap parking is also available right next to the beach entrance by the bathroom. A clean bathroom is also available in addition to a rental place to get paddle boards and kayaks. If you get tired of the water, you have access to plenty of trails. If you need snacks or lunch there is a general store not too far from the park entrance. We got a bit turned around trying to find the main beach and parking area. If you are looking on Google maps, it's on the Southeast side of the pond and you want to turn onto Flax Pond Road to get to it. My wife used to hate going to lakes and this pond has completely changed her mind. Now she can't stop talking about it!!
