Outstanding delivery, on both occasions. Deshon and his partner moved an extremely heavy washer/dryer stack into my tiny space without a nick or mark. The space had the most minimal clearance and I'd never have even considered it if I'd known how heavy the unit is, but I didn't so, seemed like it would be easy. Well, they worked very hard and accomplished the near impossible. Can't ever thank them enough. Deshon also showed real professionalism by informing me that the refrigerator I'd ordered was actually too big, even though the measurements were fine. Nothing on the website (home depot) suggested that the door needed to be open more than just 90 degrees for the drawers to open. Deshon figured it out immediately and let me know, but the info just wouldn't sink in for me (too much else going on. Anyway, he gave the measurement for the fridge with the door open and I got that. So, it had to go back. A few days later, Edwardo delivered the next refrigerator ordered that actually would work according to what Deshon had told me (eventually I got it!). Absolutely terrible. Been waiting for my delivery (scheduled 9 am to 1 pm). It is now 1:42 pm and I had to call to find out that my delivery has been rescheduled "with no notes" as to why. I put aside the time, I'm missing work, I cleaned & prepped the area for install. I had to call them at 11, and was told they are on the way. I called back at 1:30 to find out I was rescheduled for no reason. I'm on the phone with Electrolux now to see if I can come to a solution. This is unacceptable. As a person that works in logistics, I understand how things can change. The lack of communication is absolutely not cool. I may cancel my order all together over this. read more

Wretched delivery service. "Brian and Nick" made a delivery to my condo complex yesterday. They blared loud music while delivering and left a huge mess behind in the parking lot - styrofoam and plastic littered the pavement, taking a long time to clean up. They delivered and installed a washer and dryer I purchased from Home Depot. The home office people were great. Super friendly, easy to work with through scheduling and rescheduling. The delivery people were terrible. 1. I was the last delivery, so they were trying their best to get done and go home early. Rushed through everything, including moving the existing appliance. I really hope they didn't cut corners with the installation itself. I don't want a washer leak or a dryer fire. 2. They left a complete mess in our driveway. They didn't even try to put all the trash in one place. See pictures. I called them when I saw this and the guy said cleaning up "is not something they do." Just a bad experience. I've contacted the home office and will update once this is resolved. Update: the home office said that the delivery folks are supposed to "leave no trace" and will send someone out to pick up the trash. I guess I got some bad eggs. A few things to add about these bad eggs. I really tried to help them out with the delivery. When their truck had problems getting into the street (not sure why because our much larger moving truck was able to do so), I let them use my truck to transport the appliances. Even helped them load. And at the end (before I saw the trash), even gave them a tip. Really sorry I did all of that. I should have just spent the whole time sitting on the porch. read more

The most incompetent people I've ever had the displeasure of interacting with. What kind of logistics company has NO communication with their drivers except for email?! I'm sorry, you're going to email him while he's in the middle of driving for a live update? They were supposed to deliver/install my washer/dryer on Friday and just drove by my house and said delivered. Then we called and their dispatch said "the house was empty," we were literally sitting inside. We rescheduled for Tuesday and no one called us about a delivery. When we called their dispatch, they said the warehouse tried to call 3 times, NO THEY DIDN'T. I'll be shocked if they actually show up or call for our now 3rd rescheduled delivery on Friday. I am only giving them a 1 because it wouldn't let me type anything without putting anything in there. An absolute nightmare. Home Depot should find another delivery service or they are going to lose customers. The young man came in my house like a Tasmanian devil unhooking stuff without assessing the entire situation and since you can't take delivery of 1 product without taking delivery of the others. I was having 4 appliances delivered. A refrigerator, a stove, a dishwasher and a microwave. The Tasmanian devil comes in moving things around and telling me all the things he couldn't do. He said he couldn't put the microwave in because I needed a dedicated outlet over the microwave . I said ok. I'll have that taken care of. It's small and can be left in the box. Then he heads to the dishwasher and starts unhooking and pulling it out without assessing the other appliances. Then he goes over to my refrigerator and before he even looks at it says in these older homes the shut off valve is in the basement so I can't install the refrigerator today. I say wait a minute so you can't install the refrigerator or the microwave? He's like yeah but I can install the stove and the dishwasher. So in the interim I ask what are you going to do with the refrigerator that has already been taken out of the box. He said leave it in my garage. I'm said no because it's the garage and anything can happen to this refrigerator in the garage while I find a plumber. I asked him to put my dishwasher back the way he got it and he tells me he can't because of liability reasons. So now I have no appliances and a dishwasher in the middle of my kitchen floor with screws everywhere. I asked them to met me 1/2 way and install the refrigerator and dishwasher to relieve my problem of the dishwasher in the middle of the floor and they said I have to take them all or refuse delivery of them all. I chose to have them take it all back because again I don't want a brand new unboxed refrigerator sitting in my garage. Oh and then the delivery guy start arguing with me telling me he's done everything he can for me and when I told him he should have assessed the entire situation (since it's an all or nothing scenario) before he started pulling things out. He got loud and demanded I give him his phone back (who I was using to talk to customer service on). My husband reminded him we are the customer and he was in our home. I spoke with Alisha at Linn Star who wasn't very helpful. The Tasmanian devil ( because I didn't get his name) was pleading his case to someone names Gary, who reiterated he should have assessed the entire situation before he started taking things apart. I then spoke with Shay, a customer service supervisor, who offered me a scenario that did not help. She was very apologetic but she had absolutely no power to provide customer service. The company sucks. Their policies are horrible and the subcontractors unprofessional (K and K Delivery-St. Louis). If you purchase appliances from Home Depot, please ask them who's going to deliver them. If they say Linn Star, you may want to get your appliances from somewhere else. I purchased a refrigerator July 25 from Home Depot, Vallejo, CA and it was scheduled for delivery July 31. Well, late evening on July 30th I get a call from Linn Starr Delivery that my refrigerator delivery date has changed to August 16th. I just called Linn Starr Delivery for date and time confirmation of August 16th. This company said that I'll receive a call from them the evening before delivery, August 15th, with the approximate time of delivery, REALLY? First my delivery date is put off for over 2 weeks and now Linn Starr can't narrow the delivery time until the night before. Does this company think people don't have any other responsibilities? Worst non-delivery experience ever. Home Depot should be ashamed of themselves for continuing their relationship with Linn Star Transfer. In short, Linn Star pulled a no-show/no-call on a scheduled appliance delivery they'd confirmed the day prior, resulting in a wasted day and allot of unnecessary work on our part. If you want the whole sad story, read on. Our delivery of a new refrigerator we purchased in-person from HD 7/31 (it was at their warehouse) was scheduled for delivery Saturday, 8/21. I turned down a work shift to be available that day. Friday, 8/20, I received an automated call confirming the appointment for delivery between 0930 - 1330 Saturday. The message said we'd receive a call 30 minutes before the installers arrive. We arranged our day with family to be available during those hours. Between Friday evening and Saturday morning, we emptied the contents of our refrigerator into our garage refrigerator and coolers. The delivery window came and went with no refrigerator and no call. I assumed they were just running late and pushed out our family plans a little further. Finally, a little after 3pm, I called the number in Linn Star's message for an update. The only good thing in this review is that LInn Star answered the phone fairly quickly without endless prompts or being on hold forever. The lady checked my order and told me they had never received the refrigerator from HD so it would not be delivered. I voiced my extreme displeasure with the appointment being confirmed and then broken, after the disruption to our family for the day, and without the basic courtesy of a phone call telling us that weren't coming. They offered no apology or plan to recover from this service failure. I told them I was done talking to them and would take the matter up with HD. I called HD shared the above story with them. They checked our order and confirmed it was not in stock, with no information or estimate as to when it would be. Do not order from Home Depot if this is the company they are using to deliver and install their appliances. After six visits my basic dishwasher still has not been installed correctly. The installers broke the mounting brackets (which they failed to place properly), they did not place the foam insulation around dishwasher, and my damaged my cabinets. Instead of having the installers come out a seventh time to install it correctly, which at that point I had little confidence that they would, I requested with Home Depot to just return the item for a full refund and I would purchase a new dishwasher elsewhere. Home Depot refused to take the item back and issue a refund because, on major appliances, the item must either be refused at delivery or, if the item is defective, called in within 48 hours. Never called me to tell me the delivery date. Then they arrive at 7:00 am!! They brought the stove in to my kitchen, but refused to slide the old one across to the other side of my kitchen. I'm a single female living alone, otherwise I'd move it myself. Instead, they left my new stove sitting in my dining room (which left black stains on my carpet)!! They were in a hurry and so rude. I stood in my kitchen crying after they left. I ordered this stove through Home Depot back in October 2021. Vapor installers. TERRIBLE. TERRIBLE. and MORE TERRIBLE. Their instsller walked out part way through the installation after I insisted he follow Whirlpool instructions for mounting the microwave. This amounted to installing 1 or 2 lag screws through the backing plate into studs behind the microwave. This is a HUGE safety issue. We don't want the 150 pound microwave to come down on us or on the 5K range underneath) And he NEVER CAME BACK OR CALLED. They left the mucrowave in its shipping container sitting in our dining room. I called Linn Star corporate hq to get the install completed. Linn Star in Vallejo stonewalled both me and Emeryville Home Depot, they would not come back to finish or say why they refused to finish. Hone Depot contracts with Linn Star for appliance delivery and installation. Obviously, Linn Star doesn't care AT ALL about Home Depot's customers. UNBELIEVABLE !!! Linn Star delivered our new Whirlpool over the range microwave and started the install. They stopped after partially installing the stainless backing plate that the microwave mounts to. asking me to provide a sheet metal transition piece to go from round to rectangular. Done same day. BUT, most older installs require this eight dollar part. They should carry them on their trucks. COME ON !! They also required a two gang outlet to plug the microwave in to replace the hardwired connection left when the rxhaust fsn was removed. They don't do elementary electrical work. Prima Donna installers. So they required either me or an electrician to do the outlet instsll. Done same day. . read more

If you're buying an appliance from a box store and find out that Linn Star is the delivery company then let me save you the drama - turn around and walk out the door. This company is impossibly difficult to work with when scheduling deliveries. It's THEIR NEEDS first and the customer is simply an afterthought. You have to fit into their schedule. Not the other way around. They rarely if ever have any weekend days available for delivery meaning you'll be looking at taking time off work. First time around I sat at home waiting for them, only to be called that they couldn't deliver it until the next day. More time off work. They finally delivered a dryer, annnnd it didn't work. So I had to reschedule them to haul the item away and bring a new one. Soonest time available, another WEEK. And more time off work since their weekends were taken. Once they got it in my home they couldn't get the Dryer even to turn on. Are you kidding? they claimed my breaker box was broken. Frustrated, I simply told them to take the dryer and get out of the house. So, I went to an appliance store, bought a new dryer, hauled it off and installed it myself. Plug it in and magically, I HAD POWER! These guys didn't even know how to turn on a dryer! Now I'm trying to schedule a return of my washer with them because I don't want anything to do with appliances that have touched their hands. It has taken over a week again to schedule a return pick up and, of course, they schedule pick up for the day after Thanksgiving. Ya know, the day when millions of Americans are away from home traveling. Thanks for that heads up Lin Star - I only found out because I called in. No one called me to confirm that timeframe at all! After a 20 minute wait to speak to a representative, I come to find out that they supposedly came to the house but no one was home. I have security cameras and the Ring - they did NOT come to the house. They did NOT call the number on file to contact someone. My call with the representative got disconnected so again I call to find out the previous person scheduled my delivery for a different date without my knowledge or consent. I recently bought a refrigerator from Home Depot and paid for them to deliver and install it in my newly finished basement. Home Depot used Linn Star Transfer as their installer. When they installed the fridge, the delivery driver hooked up the waterline, pushed the fridge back into the kitchen cabinet and left. 8 days later I was in my basement and noticed that my carpet was wet, and baseboards and paint were cracking. I contacted them and they denied that they hooked up the waterline and that their delivery driver stated that I was the one that hooked up the waterline! Absolutely ridiculous, I have thousands of dollars of damage due to ripping out baseboards, carpet, pad, kitchen cabinets and costs for a water restoration company. I contacted Home Depot's claim agency (Sedgwick Claims) and after a lengthy process, they stated that the denial will stand. DO NOT USE LINN STAR......PERIOD read more

When we FINALLY got someone on the phone, we were told that "the driveway was too narrow and there are leaves overhanging" SOMEONE SHOULD HAVE CALLED FROM THE ROAD IF THEY WERE ALREADY AT OUR HOUSE. The freezer was initially scheduled for delivery on Sat April 23rd. I waited all day at my house and the freezer did not show up and there was no call to inform me it wouldn't be delivered that day. I called and had them on Monday the 25th and was told I would need to reschedule, so I scheduled a delivery for Friday the 29thin the afternoon as I work on Fridays but would be able to schedule a half day. I was not told the delivery timing may not fall in the requested time slot. On Thursday the 28th I received an automated message telling me the delivery was scheduled for Friday morning. I called back and told them I could not be there in the morning and had already asked for a half day at work to be off in the afternoon. I asked if they could deliver it that afternoon, but was told we would need to reschedule to another day, so I rescheduled for Saturday May 7th. On May 7th, the delivery again did not arrive and there was not phone call to inform me it wasn't coming. I called and was told it would not be delivered that day and I would again have to reschedule. I asked for a Saturday slot but was told they couldn't book a Saturday slot. So I again scheduled for a Friday. I again told them that I needed an afternoon slot as I would have to schedule another half day off work. I was told it was a requested time, but was reassured that it shouldn't be a big problem. I scheduled for Friday May 13th, with a request for an afternoon slot. On May 12thI got a call notifying me it was scheduled for Friday morning. I again called the office to reschedule. I don't speak to a person but left a voicemail and told them that I had already scheduled a half day off work to be there in the afternoon and would be unable to be there in the morning as I cannot schedule a full day off work. Despite calling to reschedule, I get a call from the office on Friday morning saying that the delivery drivers are at my house. I told the person in the office that I had called to reschedule and left message. They said I'd have to call on Monday to reschedule for the next week. On Monday May 16th, I called to reschedule. I had to call 3 times that morning before I could speak to a person to reschedule. I scheduled for Saturday May 21st. On May 21st, I again was waiting at my house with no call. As I had already previously been stood up on two prior Saturday deliveries I was anxious to see if it would arrive. I called the office and left an automated message to call me back to confirm the delivery time. When I received a call back I was assured that it was out for delivery and I was scheduled to be the 4th stop that day. At about 11:45 the delivery still had not arrived and I called back. Again I was reassured that it was out for delivery and the team was running late but I was stop number 4 and it should arrive soon. At 1 pm I called back and the person this time told me that all the trucks were already back at the warehouse and that I would need to schedule another day. I scheduled for Friday the 27th. The person told me that I could request a delivery time in the afternoon, but it could not be guaranteed. I requested an afternoon slot, but since I cannot take a full day off, I arranged for my parents to come in from out of town to be at my house all day. On Thursday 26th, I called the office on two separate occasions to confirm the delivery the next day and was reassured it was scheduled to come. On May 27th, my parents waited at my house all day and the delivery never came. I called the office on multiple occasions that day and eventually told me they never put it on the truck for the route that day. I eventually spoke to a customer service manager Kim who was rude and told me that it was my fault it wasn't delivered because I had to have it rescheduled so many times. She told me they were probably going to send the freezer back to the manufacturer because I refused to take delivery but It would ultimately be up to the warehouse manager. She told me she would talk to the warehouse manager and would let me know. I called back a couple of times that afternoon. She never called back. I heard through one of the other customer service reps that the warehouse manger was supposed to call but they never called either. In total I have been stood up for delivery on 4 different occasions, had the reschedule delivery 3 times, and made more than 25 calls to your office. The customer service manager and the warehouse manager won't return my calls and won't call me to help work towards a resolution. read more

Beware: Linn Star has crews who don't care about damaging your home and then they don't fix the damage done. The first Linn Star crew damaged my front porch when delivering a washer dryer set. Then a different crew damage my kitchen cabinets when installing a dishwasher. Each had the gall to ask for a 5 star rating, but did not own up to the damage they had done. When dealing with the Linn Star rep about the damage, they had one mission - write a check for as little as possible - with no regard for what it would really take to repair the damage. It's too bad that Home Depot has contracted with Linn Star - because I will not buy anything from them again (unless they contract with a different / reputable delivery & installation company). read more

They rescheduled my initial delivery, without so much as a phone call. Then once they arrived the following week, they immediately said they can't install my new dishwasher due to the fact that the existing one uses a hose extension to the garbage disposal. After talking to a manager they agreed to install but wouldn't connect the hose or waterline due to liability. Later they stated the waterline hose didn't look long enough. So they refused to install the new dishwasher in its entirety. I had my own hose kit - new, same brand they were using, only the hose was longer. They still refused due to the fact that the hose didn't come from them. It was no different than the one they were using - only the length. I honestly wonder if they have damaged the dishwasher in some way, since they really didn't want to install it, no matter what. They kept coming up with excuses. There was no indication from LG that the 3rd party had a policy of not installing a dishwasher if there was a drain hose extension involved. I'm left with an uninstalled dishwasher, and, LG is giving me the run around on refunding my installation charges... read more

These guys installed the new washer and either they didn't know what they were doing or it was defective, but it didn't turn on. I asked them to leave our old washer while we waited for a replacement, but apparently they damaged our washer irreparably when uninstalling it and they refused to let me see it or have it back. The company is too busy to deliver on time & did not install because they do not do plumbing or electric so could not even detach to take old one away. I got a shock trying so could be rid of it. Finally found someone to help slide down stairs into garage until they showed up to take. Ofc said it would be weeks as they had no people to simply put in truck. We got a call around 8:45 from an upset delivery guy telling us they're outside waiting to deliver our appliances. Well we clearly weren't there bc they had already missed their appointment window! l placed an online order with Home Depot and they use this company for delivery and installation. I paid for haul off, but they would not take it, nor would they place the new appliance in place. I called my local electrician, who arrived within 5 minutes, but the installation techs would not wait. I tried to convince them that unplugging the electrical would cut off the electricity to the stove. I am 71. When the electrician arrived with the technicians already gone, I helped him remove the old stove and install the new one. Any appliance stores please don't work with them!!! Your clients would otherwise not buy anything from you. They call you on the day that's scheduled and tell you that they cannot deliver, and there is no backup plans, and wouldn't give a reason why. And just simply said you have to work with them. Essentially they are the on in control. We had two appliances ordered from Home Depot, and needed it to be delivered on this Saturday morning. Home Depot called us and emailed us one day before letting us know the delivery will occur 8:30 am - 12:30 pm this Saturday. All sounded good. Then we get a call 9:00 am Saturday morning from Linn Star Transfer, and they said they cannot deliver and needed to reschedule 5 days out. All our other plans depended on this delivery and had to be all cancelled, which incurred costs on our end. I cannot believe they wouldn't tell you a little earlier but would call on the same day that they cannot deliver, and also had no back up plans. I then called back to their office 800-856-6508, and the person I spoke with said that they if they say they cannot deliver, then they just cannot deliver. They have no way of solving this problem, and we are obligated to work with them. I then inquired what happens if the rescheduled date also results in a failed delivery, and he simply said it could happen and we just have to reschedule again. They have no empathy toward our real situation, and simply don't care about their promises to you. They don't care about your schedule either. They think they are the boss, they are in control, and you have to work with whatever they have. It's ridiculous! I hope none of the appliance companies ever use them to handle delivery. Worst delivery place ever. We ordered a washer and drier online to be delivered Tuesday. They showed up an hour and a half past the window then were upset at US for not being home. Rescheduled twice with same instance happening. We finally waited ALL day on a Thursday and as usual they were running late so they finally got everything installed. I wonder why businesses even consider these guys for business. Every review I read they experienced a similar story. Smh. Linn Star Transfer, I have just experienced the worst service. Linn Star was contracted by Home Depot to install a standard LJ Dishwasher. They do not carry the correct parts for all dishwashers. Technician arrived and said he did not have correct parts we are not going to be able to install your dishwasher ever. We do not have these parts that you need to install your dishwasher. Why would you agree and take a contract from Home Depot and not carry parts on your van. I will never buy appliances from Home Depot again and use Linn Transfer. read more

Jose delivered my refrigerator, and upon delivery I told him he damaged my exterior light. I happen to be in the middle of a project and was going to make sure to document the damage on the paperwork, but while I was outside he pressured my wife into signing the paperwork, and rushed out of the house when I was unaware. very disappointed, but not unexpected from slimy delivery guys. read more

I would give 0 stars. I still haven't got my dishwasher installed. Today was the 4rd attempt!! Attempt 1. Told the standard hook up kit wasn't long enough - needed to order 10ft kit. Attempt 2. Was told that my pipes were incorrect and would need a plumber to switch the hook up. Attempt 3. Even though I called Home Depot and the first delivery guy called and wrote down we needed the 10ft - they didn't bring the 10ft... and I even asked if I could run to home depot a mile away to get one. They claim it goes against their policy. This time they said they could leave the dishwasher though - where as the other two times they couldn't. Attempt 4. Oh.... do not even tell me that you FORGOT THE 10ft HOOKUP! I just ripped the guy a new one over the phone... this is just unacceptable. He said he will go back to the warehouse and get one because I am not going to take another day off from work for this. UNACCEPTABLE!!!!!! ALSO - calling their office.... it's 11am on a Tuesday... i get a recording saying please call back during normal business hours???? Called the 800 which is there hub... (800-856-6508) nice lady named Toby called the office I tried to call - and hopefully I'll get a phone call or it installed today. If not... I am going to cry. ----- 12:45 - they are here to install. I would give them 0 stars if possible! Multiple failed attempts to deliver a GE fridge purchased from Home Depot 3 minutes away. They refuse to give you a 4 hour time slot for delivery until 24 hours away. They could care less about the inconvenience. The 1st attempt the delivery crew did not speak English and were very rude. They claim that the fridge was damaged and had to be returned. The 2nd attempt we never received a call the day before to give us the delivery time. Their customer service people admitted that their automated phone system was broken. And so on. read more

Like everyone else who has posted a review, they were absolutely terrible to my family and me. All is lost with this company and I wonder why Home Depot would ever associate with them. My guess is that the contract with them is the cheapest contract for HD. And in this case, being cheap means being awful to everyone they come in contact with. Here's the thing.. Pro: The delivery team was on schedule although I had to call them first to find out exactly the time frames I would be expecting them. I was expecting them to call me on the day of the delivery Jose, the agent I spoke to at their Benicia office accommodated my request. Kudos to that! Delivery staff was polite, carried the appliance flawlessly to the house, installed it and removed the old appliance. Left no mess for clean up. Con: their call center in Iowa where their HQ is located says they don't deliver Saturday's. Contrary to that, the local office in Benicia says they deliver on Saturdays. If you tell a customer something and a change occur, please notify your customer promptly! Their call center gave me conflicting information on the delivery dates and did not notify me. Horrible installation experience. The first trip to deliver and install a Samsung dishwasher - They damaged the sides while installing, the blamed it on the cut out. The manufacturer website and manual states 24 inches and I measured the cutout in their presence. I was told that it was wrong to go by those instructions. The second trip was after more than a week - Installation done with no issue. When I called to complain about the first trip, the Linn Star Manager tells me the same - Don't go by what you read in HomeDepot site and the manual. Each washer of the same model can be of a different dimension. Cut out more than 24 inches is needed. The Linn Star Manager went on the add - Samsung makes the dishwasher. They dont install. Age old saying - Never try to reason with peoples Stupidity. read more

This company is terrible. No call, no show. Sat at home all day on a Saturday, they called me at 12:45 to say they *could* be 90 minutes later than 7PM. Nothing. I was livid. They rescheduled me for a Tuesday without even asking me. Been without appliances all week, I'm praying these morons actually come tomorrow. read more
