    Complimentary dessert

Before even walking in, there were people including myself and boyfriend waiting to go in for lunch. It was our first time here and man when I say it was so darn good! It really was! Their service was friendly, fast, and AMAZING. The place was well kept and overall our experience was great! The rolls came out shortly after we placed our order and they were fresh, crip, warm, and delicious! My favorite roll is definitely their mango roll!It is so GOOD! Definitely can't wait to go back whenever I am craving sushi out here in the high desert.

When I arrived, I signed in as I saw many many tables available. I was with my sis and my newborn in the car seat. If you knew you know that car seats are heavy to carry. I stood there for about 10 minutes. Everyone meaning waitresses and whoever was on the clock just passed by me and not once acknowledge me or greet me. As if I was non existent, horrifying!!! It wasn't until I approached someone and asked what the wait time was. I was shocked when she said- There is no wait time. I had to let the front desk and waitresses know that this is not how you treat people. 0 for the hospitality that does not exist at this restaurant. I decided to stay because it was my sister's birthday and she requested sushi and that was the only sushi place nearby as I was visiting from LA. I thought the owner should know that his waitresses are what are ruining his business quality. I am now in the law field, but back in my college days when I worked at restaurants, I know how crucial for a business of this type the front desk and waitress is what will keep a customer returning.

Best sushi in the desert by far. Actually probably one of my favorite sushi restaurants anywhere. I love their portion size and their food feels clean and fresh. They have really great lunch and dinner specials. This is a regular lunch and dinner spot for us.

This is one of my go-to sushi spots. I usually go here to order for takeout but I have dined in a couple times. My go-to is the rainbow roll, and I love theirs. I've never been let down. The employees are always nice and service is always fast.

Friendly atmosphere, with attentive wait staff. Food was delicious and served quickly. Will definitely come again.

Friendly atmosphere with attentive wait-staff. Food was delicious and reasonably priced.

    Short rib dinner
    Nhi R.

Short rib dinner: comes with miso soup, salad, rice, 3 gyoza, tempura: shrimp, sweet potato, zucchini, broccoli, potato, orange slice, and cut up pieces of short rib. Very large portion, short rib was best of the salmon, beef and short rib dinner options. Dynamite: baked appetizer with crab meat and seafood. Free shishito pepper appetizer and green tea ice cream for dessert! Very nice touch and both were delicious and appreciated.

We asked for the spicy sauce on the side so we could adjust the spice level ourselves, which worked out perfectly. The servers were also very accommodating and friendly. Whoever's behind that counter is slicing with love and legendary knife skills. Felt like they trained under Jiro and binge-watched Food Wars for extra flair. The Red Dragon Roll slapped harder than expected. Spicy tuna inside. Avocado and eel riding on top. That eel glaze hit like the final scene in a Tarantino flick... messy. Dramatic. Mic drop in every bite. The Crunch Roll was the Drake of the menu. Basic but undefeated. Crispy tempura edge. Creamy middle. Sweet soy drizzle that stuck the landing. Had the Sunset Roll too. Salmon. Mango. Citrus. Felt like a Malibu sunset on a first date. Sweet but grown. Even the California Roll came out like it had something to prove. Real crab. No soggy wrap. Just clean execution and confidence. Inside is all charm. Booths that feel like they've seen generations of chopstick legends. Walls covered in Polaroids like a yearbook and a scrapbook had a baby. It's giving early MySpace energy with a sprinkle of Jiro Dreams of Sushi. Nostalgic. Local. No frills. Service was chill. No hover energy but never ghosted. Chopsticks sealed. Tables clean. I hate to write this, but my first time there will be the last. I ordered the Orange Chicken Rice…read moreBowl and asked if I could have fried rice instead of steamed rice. No, I could place a second order to get the fried rice. Ok, whatever, I'll take the steamed rice. The Orange Chicken was like rubber. I tried to bite a piece in half and it wouldn't pull apart, so the whole piece went in my mouth and I had to use my fingers to pull it apart which was embarrassing on a first date! It didn't taste good either. I looked for a knife in the plastic silverware, but there was none. I then went for a bite of the rice and it was so stuck together that I really had to jam my fork into it. It had no flavor at all and I was not offered any kind of sauce for it. I got some salt, but it didn't help. It had obviously been in a cup and turned over on a plate (there was no bowl) so I don't see why they couldn't have substituted the fried rice. The carrots were rubbery too. The only thing half way good was the broccoli. I opted for water to drink because I couldn't see paying over $6 for flavored ice tea. I didn't want my date to feel bad for buying me such a horrible meal, so I managed to get a couple of bites down. He asked if I wanted a box. No, but I said yes, again not wanting him to feel bad. I tried the Orange Chicken again when I got home, using my paring knife, and it was still so bad that I threw the whole thing away. There were only 6-8 people in the place, but it was so noisy that I had to keep asking my date to repeat what he said because I couldn't hear him. I was looking forward to a new place to eat and the online menu looked so great... How sad.

I normally do not like fried or grilled tofu but this was different. Nice crunch on the outside and super creamy on the inside. They have a pink sauce in little packets and it is really good on the crunchy tofu. Not too sweet and just the right flavor. I also had a mango green tea with Boba. Of course it was delicious just the right amount of mango but it was sweet. The second time I visited I tried the shrimp chow mein and the crunchy tofu again and I tried peach black tea with Boba. The tea was delicious and sweet but really nice. I'm not sure how you could make that horrible. The shrimp chow mein was just OK to me. The noodles seemed gummy and I'm not used to that. We also had the sautéed gyoza. The first batch came out burnt, but they were very nice and very accommodating when we brought them back and they brought us another order that was perfect and delicious. By the way we ordered vegetarian Gyoza and it was surprisingly good. I have also had the Ramen at this restaurant and it is also excellent . Many choices and they're really good about cooking what you need. This is not a fancy place but the food is great and the girls at the order desk are really sweet!

Not even a bar has that bad of music. It was rap and cussing, and just flat out disgusting music. I looked around and then I headed back towards the door, and walked out.
