Super picky about sushi, for starters. The waitress is always patient when we go in. If you go in with a bigger party, it might take a little longer for plates to come out, but they try to get everyone to eat together. If you order a fried roll, highly suggest eating it at the restaurant and not take it to go. Mega roll & Golden Tiger are the best! read more

I Only like coming to this place cause of the convenience and it's close by. They're always super friendly. This last time the lady was so rude and passive aggressive , It's annoying especially when I am just doing a pickup order. She was Hispanic in her 40s. We go to Ninja because we normally have a great experience. Not tonight! The service was not good. There were only 2 other customers in the restaurant and we couldn't get refills, the server placed all food at one end of the table and told us to pass it. Not that big of a deal but just not very attentive for the $20 tip they added on their own for a party of five. I was not aware they added a tip on their own. Never did that before. I just don't like when a server decides what their tip should be. Crazy thing is, she would have got a larger tip than she added even though she didn't deserve it. The sushi rolls fell apart. Ninja missed the mark tonight but will not return for adding their own tip. Not cool! They got 2 stars because they did give us free crab cakes so I think they knew they were missing the mark tonight. Still not worth it! read more

Ordered the Chef's Special one night for take out. Lesson learned: don't ever order the Chef's Special from a sushi restaurant. My entire order still cost like $30, and for what? I'm going to say they must have changed owners. I no longer work nearby so I haven't been in a few years. Today my husband and I went. We got the meals. I had teriyaki and california roll with rice. The soy sauce is substandard and cheap tasting. The crab in the california roll wasn't good, again cheap tasting substandard. The ginger slices also were not good. Theses are all things that are easy to fix. Buy better quality. The teriyaki steak and rice was pretty good. My spouse said teriyaki chicken was not good but agreed the beef was good. The kicker was the edamame was not cooked at all cold and with salt, not edible. This used to be a favorite, but I will have to pass it on in the future. Last time I was here they had a 50% all day happy hour and I could eat and drink for a reasonable price, i was sad to see the only special going was buy a beer get one 50% off. Service was good because it was almost empty. The food was decent, we had a spicy tuna roll, a veggie roll, veggy tempura and soup. Very disappointed in the food. I came here for lunch one day and I wish I could say that maybe because they were so busy that the food wasn't good buuuuut no. There were barely any customers and the chefs weren't busy. The jalapeño appetizer was awful just nasty and not even edible. The salmon roll was awful too. I had been craving sushi for weeks and came here to be severely disappointed. I'll never come here again. Wasted $24 for nothing. read more

This will be a short review considering I ordered from postmates I typically order from Tokyo sushi but for whatever reason their delivery fee was 11 dollars, Ninja was only 1 dollar so I decided to go with that. I ordered jalapeño poppers and dragon roll and one other and I must say - some of the nastiest sushi I've ever had Woke up the next day and felt sick and have had stomach issues now and it's been 3 days. Its sad because as much as I tried to like it, I couldn't. I never leave food or throw it away and I found it difficult to finish it. I was only able to eat two pieces and that was enough for me. The sushi was not fresh and very hard to chew, felt like I was chewing on nerves or something. I hardly ever leave bad reviews but I had to be honest like in all my other reviews. I've been coming here for years and it was always amazing but today not so at all. They no longer have half off rolls , no edamane when seated , the prices have gone up ALOT. These stuffed jalapeños you use to get 3 full ones per serving now you get 2 cut in half and charge more. My husband and I have been coming here for years and it was our sushi spot in the high desert. We'll come to find j guess there have been changes... They are under new ownership and prices are through the roof. No edamame was served and they also served canned drinks now, which in my opinion is strange and I think most prefer tap soft drinks when they go out. Additionally, the portion sizes were much smaller. I left still hungry and thirsty. Had to go to jack in the box for another drink since they only had canned soda. What a waste. This place recently place recently changed hands and it shows in a good way. The prices may increased a bit but that's the truth everywhere. Sandy is the best waitress I've ever had at Ninja Sushi, she hustles. The food was fresh and amazing. We had the Miso soup, the Jalapeños Roll, The Shrimp Lover and Mixed Tempura. All was amazing! They basically gave me a sushi salad and a crab hand roll. I call them to get a refund they don't even know what customer service is. The guy comes in the phone oh well basically your stuck with food that's crap. No refund no offer to fix it. Just ate here for the first time today and they were really good! Also friendly to me which is very important. I ordered two types of sushi and it was so good! Also fresh which I love too. First time here. I went to Ninja Poke Yaki first to get a veggie roll. Never had one, but was craving something yummy and meat free that day. The veggie roll has cucumber and avocado.... WTF there are 20+ poke sides you can choose from if you get poke. Any how I went across the street to their other location Ninja Sushi. Biggest mistake ever, should have paid attention to the reviews. I ordered the veggie roll and got a mini roll with spinach, Romaine and avocado that took 15 minutes to get??? It didn't have any flavor at all and technically because it had 3 veggies it is a roll. I can't understand how any restaurant that has multiple veggies in stock in 2 locations can't come up with a multitude of options for their customers. We love the sushi at this restaurant! We regularly order online for pickup and/or dine here. However, please be careful when ordering online. The online system they utilize does not tell you how long the wait is, until the order is placed. Once the payment is confirmed, it will advise you how long before pickup, and you cannot cancel if the wait is too long or does not meet your needs. I called to request cancellation of an order, as the wait was 65 minutes, and we had somewhere else to be. The girl advised they had no way to cancel the order and I would have to figure it out online. There is no option to cancel online, none at all. Doesn't make sense. read more

I HATE writing bad reviews but COME ON!!! My kids, mother and I dinned in tonight and ordered 4 rolls 2 with tempura shrimp , tempura veggies and a kids plate... Both of the rolls that contained the tempura shrimp were raw! It takes maybe 1 or 2 more minutes to deep fry the shrimp tempura longer.. I have not been to this restaurant in about a year or so, so I was very disappointed!!! First off, online it says they close at 8pm on Sunday, the waitresses said they close at 7pm & a banner outside says they close at 10pm ?!?! ‍ WHICH IS IT?! We were not served the edamame like they used to serve in the beginning when you first sit down! Rolls have gone up tremendously and then to be served raw shrimp is utterly disgusting!!! $70 later , ugh I hope we don't get sick!!! Unfortunately not a great experience here. I will say it was my favorite when I first moved to the desert in 2015, and the sushi is great as far as I'm concerned. Very filling, delicious sushi rolls to be had here. This evening around 5pm I submitted an online order for 2 bento boxes, edamame, and gyoza (total about $50). I learned that for a variety of reasons they will cancel and refund the order, one reason being they're too busy to accept online orders. I called the restaurant and was advised of an hour wait, and waiting is no issue for me so I placed the order over the phone. I got to the store around an hour later and paid, advised that I had a few more minutes to wait. Ultimately from what I could hear, everything was bagged on the counter waiting for the edamame, because as soon as edamame came up the whole order was then handed to me. Then on my merry way home from there. I must sadly report that all the food was cold except for the edamame. The salmon in my box was a bit like a dry nugget. The California roll was fine though. My husband reported the chicken item he got in his box had soggy breading and the pork cutlet was dry and seemingly old. A huge disappointment as well, we didn't get any miso soup in the order which is stated to come with the bento boxes. My mistake to not open everything up and investigate, which is what I do at fast food places. My warning would be to keep in mind they don't have a set up for hot food warmers for pending pickups, it's just on the counter. Another warning is if they are too busy for online order or say a long wait time for phone order, suspect that you may receive your order cold and sad to say consider not adding to their workload in that case because there are risks to it. Regarding the quality of the non sushi items at this restaurant I would not recommend ordering it (although the tempura is fine). Because to spend $50 (before tip) to get something that would have a fast food quality to it, and have it be cold, and not receive all items in the hand-off, is a little off putting to say the least. read more

Service was good for us. However, the food was not that good. Ordered the 3 item combo with katsu, beef (so dry and hard to chew), and spicy Tuna roll. Miso soup was so salty and the edamame had way too much salt on it. Rolls had way too much rice very little fish. The ambiance was terrible. Lighting is terrible and looks like things were ripped off the walls. Sushi chef was on his phone and it was on speaker. Kind of rude when people are trying to enjoy dinner.
