Once we were seated, the nervous waitress came over to take our order, reminding of the all day HH. We ordered dumplings, chili wings, edamame, butterfly shrimp, fries and pork belly kha na. Tbh, you could find better food at the grocery store. My entree (pork belly kha na) came out about 30 minutes after the appetizers and there was a burnt taste to the entire dish. This is a social media restaurant. Food was not good. All the ingredients tasted like they were straight out of the freezer. The sauce in their stir fry is straight up Chinese brown sauce with frozen veggies and low quality meat. The curry puffs were frozen Trader Joe's and I'd bet money on that. Drinks are $15 and you can add a sparkler or a 'smoking drink box' for an up charge, but it pairs well with bad food and trendy Instagram posts. I hate dumping on a restaurant, but this was over $100 and really not good. We got got by the posts online and reviews. The restaurant is very aesthetically pleasing and nice. However, I was not impressed by the food. I had basil chicken (ka prow), and it was very flat, not very flavorful or well-seasoned. This dish is my litmus test for Thai restaurants, and unfortunately Linjee's lackluster Thai basil will keep me from Returning. The service was kind but definitely could tell they were busy so I had to sit for a while to order and to pay. The atmosphere was beautiful, super clean, and chill. The music is great and they are very big on keeping things clean. I watched them sanitize and clean so many tables after people left and before reserved tables arrived. The food was HOT, fresh, and great. The serving sizes are HUGE, which was my favorite. I had the spring rolls and the pork belly Pad See Ew. I wouldn't get the pork belly next time personally because the pork belly was slightly over cooked and more crunchy than chewy like I expected. I'll just get the beef, seafood, shrimp, or chicken next time. I personally love that they have unlimited refills on the lemonade and they allowed me to get different flavors of lemonade each glass. I personally think their lemonade wasn't tasteful at all and had a strong weird taste. Wasn't good even with flavoring. Otherwise, I'll come back again one day. Although it was a small location...This place was really cute...very much pleasing to my aesthetic needs. The grass wall was everything. The passion fruit margarita and the citrus martini were pretty tastey...We got wontons as an app and the shrimp pineapple fried rice...10 out of 10, highly recommend . The only complaint that we have is the customer service was iffy. When our food was brought we requested some things and he did not come back to the table to provide it. I had to wave him down. I will say the food was mediocre, nothing too special and I don't think it was worth the price we paid. We got the sampler appetizer, pad see ew, and curry. This place got pretty packed fast. Parking is easy and a lot so that was convenient. I think maybe because it is in this area prices are higher? I just don't think I'd come back when there are other Thai places in the area that are cheaper and their food quality is better. I will say dishes and decor here though are very IG worthy! read more

Overall, the food itself was good. Our main compaint came to the service and the bill. We had to ask several times for utensils, specifically the chopsticks. Additionally, the price for the condiments and the additional service fee were not it. How are we going to pay for service that we didn't even get? You guys automatically took 20% without even providing said service and it looked like you had to add additional gratutity on the check on top of what was already taken out even though we had to ask several times to put in an order or order drinks. Overall, food 6/10, service -1/10. I would recommend finding a place that can both serve you efficiently and tastly. The crispy duck was terrible, duck was overcooked roasted red duck and tasted very old, 0. Barely any sauce. I am used to crispy duck being juicy and packed with flavor...I couldnt eat it so i had it returned. We also ordered pad see ew, which i probably should have just controlled my own spice level. I believe it was medium but holy moly it was so spicy it killed my palette not in a bad way I couldn't keep eating it though after three bites. Me and my friend accidentally went to that shopping mall, we found new soft opening Thai restaurant. We gave it a try:)... Wow, the design inside is quite good ambiance to have some drinks and some starters. Unfortunately, they don't have license yet for selling alcohol.. that is fine for us. Thus, we order some food to start. Wings and Crab Rangoon which is creamy one- that s so good:).. Yum Talay is quite good as well. Now , we have crispy duck and crispy pork with kana.. these are so so fabulous!!!!!!!!! Extra points from us... Ummmmm yummmy! I got the Purple Rain lemon drop and they DO NOT skimp on the liquor!! Taste was GOOD AND STRONG!! My son and I got the crab Rangoon, calamari and spring rolls as appetizers EACH OF THEM WAS GOOD GOOD!!!!! I got the drunken noodles and my son got the Basil fried rice with chicken and shrimp! This is one of the newer Thai spots in the Alexandria area and so I finally went to check it out. Now the location is a little unsuspecting on the outside since it's within a shopping plaza but on the inside it's a pretty spacious restaurant, a long bar with plenty of seating, a couple tv's, and tables surrounding it. There's also a vip section that can be reserved and they can even meet all of your your social media needs with the neon signs and grass wall decor. They even had some modern R&B music playing in the background at just the right decibel where you could still hear yourself talk. It wasn't too hectic on this particular evening and so I sat at the bar. Service is always a huge deal for me and I had zero complaints. Very friendly and engaging staff and they provided great recommendations being that it was my first time there. As for the drink menu this was probably one of the more expansive cocktail menu's I've come across locally at a Thai spot and they also have fancier add on's for a few bucks extra like sparklers or having your drink brought out of a smoking glass box (if you're into that kind of thing). The food menu covers all the Thai classics you can think of and then some, dumplings, various versions of pad Thai, spring rolls, a few different kinds of fried rice options with your choice of proteins: chicken, duck, shrimp, tofu, etc. with the prices ranging between $12-$35. I finally decided on trying the steamed dumplings as my appetizer and the pad woon sen which was basically a clear rice noodle dish and I added shrimp. Another aspect of the menu is that you get to choose the spice level for your individual dishes and they provide a numeric scale for each level. I paired that meal with their "mind eraser" cocktail (2 tequilas definitely lived up to the name). The food came out fairly quickly, I hadn't even gotten through the dumplings before the entree was brought out to me. The dumplings were pretty tasty steamed perfectly and the pad dish was exquisite as well, good portion size and not overly saturated in the garlic sauce. And last but not least make sure you don't leave without trying their matcha martini based drink (see green drink below) it's the perfect little after meal dessert beverage being that it's so light and smooth. So moral of this review if you haven't gotten to try this spot out please do so. read more
