Woof Dogs - Honey relaxing

Woof Dogs

Woof Dogs helped us to make our dog a more manageable and meaningful member of our family. Shay…read morewas fantastic when we did the intake with him before Boot Camp. He immediately had Honey's respect! (If only it were true for us). We knew we were at the right place! We dropped her off for her 2 week stay and she pranced right off with Lena! I missed her terribly but it was WORTH IT!! She learned so much in that 2 week time period! My daughters and grandchildren noticed a difference! We did the one on one training after with Shay. He had Honey's number and OURS! He knew how to train us to do more! He has a great program with fabulous people. I can't forget Melissa who answered the phone every time this dog mom called. WOOF DOGS IS THE ABSOLUTE BEST!!!

I was really disappointed with what I received from woof dogs. I felt the sessions the trainer provided us were kind of weak and basic, during the course of 5 months the office or the trainer canceled several times. I paid for 10 sessions and got 7 sessions all of which I was told were supposed to be 1-hour sessions but never got more than 45 mins total per session. I called a few weeks ago after no contact from their main office or trainer for a month asking what was going on and for a refund, but they haven't responded other than to know they don't offer refunds. I feel their main office and trainers do not do a good job of contacting you and my dog is still terribly scared of other dogs and has made little improvement.

I honestly never thought I would be writing this review. Liam didn't just train our Maltese, he…read moreperformed some sort of exorcism. Bailey, our Maltese of six years (who was previously supposedly trained in New York) was to put it lightly, a menace. I had gotten to the point where it was very difficult to live in the same house with him. He barked, nonstop, he resource guarded, he continuously nipped my husband when we were putting him to bed every night, he thought that he was in charge of everything and everyone ..and that he was the alpha...when Liam came to the house for the interview process, I know (it was pretty obvious) that I had absolutely zero faith in turning him around. We had just moved downtown into an apartment and the barking had become unbearable. He was all over our very expensive couches digging and licking himself. I pretty much told Liam that there was no way in hell that I believed he could help the situation. I just thought it was too far gone and that you could not teach new tricks to an old dog. I have to say, that hell has frozen over!! Liam brought Bailey back after a month of training and it seems like he is a different animal, he is extremely well behaved, he does not bark..:He does not resource guard. He is a mush and so sweet. We walk him outside where he previously wanted to run down every UPS and FedEx truck and attack every passing human being, he is now minding his own business and acting like a well-behaved citizen. I really have no words, it is remarkable. I am very grateful and again so pleasantly surprised that he was able to perform this miracle for us. We actually are able to bring him out with us to restaurants, the other night he was sitting quietly in the arms of my husband at the bar at a Mexican restaurant, not making a peep and looking happy . Overall, he seems happier than before,, calmer and exponentially so pleasant to be around. I recommend Liam 10,000 fold.

I will admit that I originally left a positive review, believing my dog had been well cared for and that progress had been made while he was in his care. Unfortunately, the aftermath told a very different story. Once my dog returned home, it became clear that behaviors were not improving and that training methods and expectations were inconsistent. When I reached out for additional support, guidance & clarification, communication quickly deteriorated. He became disorganized, unresponsive, & unable to provide a clear or structured plan to address the issues. After consulting with a team of qualified dog trainer with years of experience working with law enforcement canines.. professionals who understands proper training, structure, and behavioral consistency. It became clear how inadequate and ineffective the training my dog received actually was. As time went on behaviors arise that showed that this experience negatively affected my dog. I strongly recommend that anyone considering this trainer conduct thorough due diligence and seek a credentialed professional with demonstrated, real world experience.
