Before Off Leash, I used treats/ clicker for training my Vizsla "Pepper", read all the books, worked with her daily We would practice drills where she would stay, come when called, etc., I would take her on walks and routinely start walking the opposite direction on the long leash so she got used to keeping her eye on me and would follow. She was a good dog, BUT all bets were off when we saw other dogs, birds, etc. No way she could be trusted off leash - sad to me because she's a hunting dog and we wanted her to have some (safe) freedom. Problem: We got to the point where we could no longer take her to the beach (her favorite) because she would chase birds so far we couldn't see her. She backed out of her collar/ harness a couple of times, went completely nuts and would not come when called. Our lack of ability to train our dog was now an issue with her safety too. It took me 2 years to come around to "negative" stimulus training but we were desperate so left her for 2 weeks :( with Off Leash. We were worried and afraid she would lose her crazy personality. We didn't want a "robot" dog but wanted her safe and enjoying off leash life. 1-week after Off Leash Training with Rion Ferguson: We have been to trails, to parks, chasing birds (she comes back 95% of the time without correction), squirrels, iguanas! Today we went back to the beach for the first time in over a year and she went completely nuts, like before, but came back to me when called. She's a more confident dog because I have less anxiety. She's still crazy but listens to me. We have a stronger bond now because we trust each other. Rion was great with my dog even though she had aggression issues in the beginning (I had seen this a little but didn't think it was a problem - she has boarded extensively with other trainers, "boot camp", etc. and no other professionals ever told me she had issues, the opposite actually). He was also patient with me and we went over the training extensively when I picked her up. The commands are very simple - I have no problem with the timing on corrections using the technique they are training. My dog doesn't seem confused either so I think I am doing pretty well. I would highly recommend Off Leash training to anyone that wants to be able to communicate with their dog off leash. I would recommend Rion to anyone needing a devoted trainer that can also handle all sorts of behavior issues - he is kind, patient and loves dogs. Mr./Mrs Calana My wife and I adopted a 1.2 year old mix breed female she was breed with Lab/Pit she is very intelligent and as all rescue dogs they come with some type of issues behavior issues our Dog Yanca had abuse issues she was been kept in a cage up 12 hours days etc.. I like to say that as of today i am glad to say those horrible memories and nightmare yanca was having are all fading away, with love and caring my family gives Yanca as well spoil her rotten with treats, road trips, and family gathering she part of the family. Yanca arrived May 13,2016 to the house where she found a very large 1.25 acre backyard all to herself to explore, run and jump and whatever she think off. One thing that happened was Yanca was missing some basic obedience our family try to educated Yanca she had some skills but as you know been a parent you know very well the kids will do what the kids wants and try to get away with it, that when we found the off leash K9 training program. We were extremely concern with yanca mental health as well physical and we were not sure of the e-collar we spend month getting information about the difference training techniques and methods until off leash k9 training gave us a 101 training on the e collar and the proper way of using it. Yanca has been now two weeks into the program and her progress is amazing the program works and the e-collar when used properly, it's the greater tools in the training program does not harm the dog once the dogs are off commands and collar they are happier and playful and thanks to my off leash training program. Thank to Off leash and my trainer Tiffany I can take yanca every were dogs are welcome without the fear of Yanca straying off or jumping on people, the other thing is she does not pull on the leash any longer since she stared the program. We had a 4 year old wild and crazy Rhodesian Ridgeback/Shepherd mix that we rescued as a puppy. Alvin is about 80 lbs, and would jump on everyone who comes to visit, would jump on kitchen counter when my back was turned and take what ever I would cook (raw chicken, steak, anything and everything). He was very difficult to walk, in fact I would only let him out back cause he would scare the neighborhood kids. He was not mean, but has a loud bark and big teeth and got excited when seeing other dogs and people. It got to the point where I felt I could not take it any more. I was afraid for my elderly parents to come to house for fear he would jump on them and someone would end up in hospital. I told my husband that we need to find someone who would train him, and if he was not trainable, would have to find another home for him. I did not want to do that (my husband and kids love this dog), but I could not deal with it any more. I did hours and days of research online to find a trainer that could train a 4 year old dog who had no manners and finally came across Off Leash K9 Training. My husband was very skeptical as we had sent Alvin to "Boot Camp" when he was a puppy and we did not have any success. But after showing him multiple videos, and reading all the reviews, we decided to give them a chance. We had our new one year old black lab rescue, Clark, for about 2 months when I reached a point that I thought we may have to send him back. He would drag me and my 9 year old son down the street and into traffic during walks, would be constantly after other dogs without regard for us calling on him, jumping and pawing on guests (and us), bolting out the door as soon as we would open one, etc. I knew we had to put him through training, however I never really saw results in the cheaper "one size fits all" group training with my childhood dog where you basically hope for the best. That's when I looked into one on one training. Off Leash K9 came in number one for me after my Google research and I'm infinitely glad that I made the choice to go with them. Howard, our trainer, was super friendly, knowledgeable, and accesible throughout the entire training period. From the very start when he called me to introduce himself and learn a bit about our situation and to schedule our first session, to calling me during the week between sessions to see how we were doing and offering personalized tips, to the end when he offered to be available by text or phone to answer any questions or concerns we might have, even beyond our 4 session training. Our puppy mia was rescued at a very early age and separated from her mom/siblings. When we got her at 11+weeks, she was a super sweet and loving dog. Then one day she flipped a switch and became super skittish and almost aggressive toward strangers... we tried all sorts of things including obedience training. We even had to take her on vacation with us because the boarding place couldn't handle her for more than an hour. She lost trust in everyone but my fiance and i. Then, I found off leash and they were miracle workers!! She entered the board and train program and we thought she would only be there about 4-6 weeks. She ended up being there for close to 3 months, but it was totally worth it! Randy, Mike, Alex and everyone else worked so hard and did everything they could for her. They said she was "their most difficult case ever" but they never gave up on her.. we've had her home for a few months now and although she still has some trust issues toward strangers she is a totally different dog! Whatever behavioral issues we had with her are resolved and we can now go out of town and have family come to take care of her. We rescued a wonderful dog, Grant, who was a gentle loving dog, but had a serious issue. I cant say enough about this company.... I enrolled my 1 yr old dog in their 2 week board and train program. He had a few issues, Jumping on guest when they walked through the door, digging in the back yard, not staying in command when asked,due to distraction. It was frustrating for me and the dog!!! I did some research and found that Off Leash K9 may be a good fit. When I dropped my dog off for 2 weeks I cried like a baby!!! During the 2 week period, I was sent photos and live video of my dogs progress. This was my saving grace. Not only did it give me comfort to see my sweet boy but, it also showed the progress he was making and it showed me the way his trainers Mike and Alex interacted with him. We got extremely lucky to be working with this company and especially with Howard. After we rescued our 3 year old pit bull, we immediately started to look for a trainer who would help us with certain issues. Although she had problems with dog aggression, first we had to address basic obedience - proper walking / heeling, door manners, greeting guests, recall/sit/down/place commands, etc. Our dog finished the training with flying colors. Howard patiently worked not only with her but as well with us. When I got my Boxer puppy I wanted to make sure he grew up to be a well-mannered dog. After a few days of researching training options I decided to go with Off Leash K9 and I am so happy with my decision. The trainer (Mike) was great! Very happy with the results. Howard was very professional and accommodating. The basic training covered off-leash recall, place, heel, sit and down commands. However, Howard also covered basic dog behavior and how to deal with issues that sometimes come up. I'm very happy with the results. Typical lesson consisted of Howard setting the puppy to understand and execute the command, and then showing my wife and I how to continue to reinforce the training.
