I rarely leave negative reviews, but my recent experience at Pet Lover Central in Boca Raton was…read moretroubling enough that I feel other dog owners should be aware. From the start, communication was disorganized. I had already sent in my dogs' vaccine records, yet I was asked to resend them because staff couldn't access the email address I was originally told to use. This was frustrating and felt like an unnecessary waste of time. When I picked up my dogs, several issues raised serious concerns for me. Their bed was returned broken, some of their toys were missing, none of their food was given back, and all of their treats were untouched which made me question what level of care they actually received during their stay. For a bill of nearly $900 for just three and a half days, I expected far better. What made the situation worse was the lack of urgency in addressing these concerns. Days went by without resolution, leaving me feeling that my time and my dogs' well-being were not valued. This was not the experience I anticipated, and based on what happened, I cannot recommend this facility. I hope management takes feedback like this seriously, because no pet owner should have to feel this way after trusting a business with their animals.

I felt the sessions the trainer provided us were kind of weak and basic, during the course of 5 months the office or the trainer canceled several times. I paid for 10 sessions and got 7 sessions all of which I was told were supposed to be 1-hour sessions but never got more than 45 mins total per session. I called a few weeks ago after no contact from their main office or trainer for a month asking what was going on and for a refund, but they haven't responded other than to know they don't offer refunds. I feel their main office and trainers do not do a good job of contacting you and my dog is still terribly scared of other dogs and has made little improvement.

Our dog has been snap to angry irritation lately. Our vet recommended classes. Dynamite came recommended not just by the vet but by friends. The rate was a few bucks but there were others with crazy higher rates. Our first class or 2 were good. Our dog does like a game and was so happy learning the commands via games and rewards. Our instructor recommended for social skills to maybe switch to 1/2 or full day visits. A doggie day school. We switched to that. It's been a couple weeks now and its been good. They work hard to train him. They post videos, many of which are on line before we even pick him up. It gives us the joy of seeing how much fun he is having. He is always looking so happy learning(and getting treats). I'm glad Dynamite Dog Training was recommended to us, its worked out well.

Prior when they went to another trainer when I was on business trips I could see how stressed the dogs were and it broke my heart to which I vowed never to leave them in that environment ever again. I learned about AYP as the head trainer trained my Great Dane who ended up doing therapy work in hospice settings. I cannot express the delight patients and family members felt when they saw her; and for a slight second they forget everything else. She was so amazingly well behaved and I knew that's what I wanted for my two new pups. AYP truly loves my girls and it shows in their demeanors when they greet the trainers. The trainings are fun for both dog and human, they weave games and fun tricks into the curriculum. They also see when the dogs/person can get frustrated and help guide or change it up to make it easier. They offer fun side classes like outdoor adventures where the classes are held in different locations each week. The day classes are doggie day care mixed with trainings where they will share videos and pics of how the dogs did during the day. I adopted 2 new puppies which I plan to bring here too. I have tried big box trainers and private and have to say this by far outweighs them all. As with all training it does also depend on the work you're willing to put in with your pup.

The store employee, Amanda, provided a plethora of information on each of the breeds. It was a wonderful sight to see that the playpens were minimally full at only two or three puppies in each and NOT indicative of a "puppy mill". The two tiny Cava Poos were just larger than my hand (see pic) and weighed under two pounds. They were so energetic and sweet but they come with a large price tag of $5000.00, which include a health assessment by a vet. Sadly, no discount for full cash payment vs plastic. The walls were full of carrying bags, necklaces, toys and clothing.
