I explained that my cat was currently taking cough medicine and asked what I needed to bring for his stay. I was told to bring his food and that it was okay to bring his medication, so I understood that there would be no issue boarding him. When we arrived, we were suddenly told that they could not accept him because he was sick. During the drive, my cat had an accident in his carrier because he was scared and stressed from traveling to a new place. One employee reassured me that they could clean him up and that everything was fine for him to stay. However, while I was completing the paperwork, another employee came over and said they could not take him after all because he was sick. The conflicting information was extremely frustrating and disappointing. If their policy is not to accept pets that are taking medication or are ill, that should have been clearly communicated during my phone call before I made the trip. Instead, I was given different answers by multiple employees, which caused unnecessary stress for both me and my cat.

She kept us updated the whole time and sent so many pictures, which gave us total peace of mind while we were away. Michelle was also extremely flexible with both drop off and pick up, which made everything so easy and stress free. You can tell she genuinely cares about the dogs she watches. Bruce had the best time and made so many new friends with the other dogs she boards and has in daycare. He even loved just hanging out with her daughter while she played, which was so sweet to see. It honestly felt like a little vacation for him too. We will 100 percent be boarding with Michelle again, no question. And if we lived closer, we would absolutely have Bruce in her daycare regularly. If only human hospitals treated us half as well as Riverside treats cats…read more Finding a veterinary clinic you can trust is tough. Finding one that treats your pets like family is almost impossible -- but that's exactly what Riverside Animal Hospital does. My senior cat, Ramses, owes his life to the care and compassion of this team. They didn't just treat him; they saved him. From the moment you walk in, the staff are welcoming, kind, and professional. They don't just rush you in and out -- they take time to explain what's going on, what options are available, and what the best next steps are. They communicate clearly, honestly, and with a warmth that makes you feel like you're not just a client, but part of their extended animal family. They're never shy about showing their facilities, which says a lot. Everything is clean, organized, and modern, and you get the sense that your pet is in safe, capable hands. There's no mystery here -- just transparency and professionalism. As a senior cat, Ramses needs extra care. The team here has gone above and beyond to make sure he's comfortable, healthy, and thriving. The level of attention and compassion they've shown is rare. Instead of feeling like another number, Ramses has been treated like an individual -- and it's made all the difference. Ramses didn't just get care here -- he got a second life. Riverside Animal Hospital is everything you'd want for your pet's healthcare: compassionate, communicative, transparent, and lifesaving. I couldn't be happier with the care Ramses is getting here -- and if you love your animals, this is where you bring them. They treat pets like royalty... Ramses included.

I have been a loyal customer of Riverside Animal Hospital for many years, and it is deeply…read moredisappointing to witness how dramatically and outrageously their prices have increased since becoming part of a corporate organization, seemingly without any regard for the importance of their clients or the well-being of their own employees. It is heartbreaking to see the working conditions that employees are subjected to: being severely overworked, underpaid, provided with inadequate health insurance benefits, and exposed to racism, excessive pressure, and an unhealthy amount of stress. This treatment extends even to the hospital's own manager, who has been subjected to such behavior by upper management, particularly by Regional Director Chelsea DeWitt. I personally witnessed and heard racially discriminatory remarks directed toward the hospital's manager because she is Latina and English is not her first language. I want to make it absolutely clear that this manager speaks English very well and is an exceptionally polite, compassionate, and respectful person who consistently treats both her clients and staff with kindness and professionalism. The way employees at this hospital, and within this corporation, are being treated by upper management is absolutely disgraceful and unacceptable. It is truly heartbreaking to see how far Riverside Animal Hospital has fallen. I sincerely hope that corporate leadership takes these serious concerns into consideration and, more importantly, conducts a thorough investigation into the alleged acts of racial discrimination involving its Regional Director. No employee should ever have to endure discrimination, mistreatment, or an unhealthy working environment, regardless of their position or background. Riverside Animal Hospital and its employees deserve far better.

First day they came by and took just the check. Didn't read the note. Second day took the paperwork. If they read the note didn't follow instructions. Third day I asked them to feed my rabbit from the big tub of greens - instead they fed him the premixed salad including high sugar craisings and RAW walnuts (raw nuts can kill a rabbit) that was in a small tupperware container. Placed the entire container in the cage. Luckily bunny was OK - he did spend the entire night and part of the next day in his litterbox with diarrhea, but he was OK. I didn't have a great feeling about them from the get-go and when I came home I could tell that they hadn't given the boys appropriate amount of attention.
