Congrats to PLC on their anniversary! I have been a customer for almost 13 years! I have had several dogs & now have Henry ... a rescue from Peggy Adam's. He is a good boy but has needed some help w/ a few bad habits. Billie the trainer is assisting me in teaching him better habits. All the staff - Haley , Mary Rose, Kelsey & more are just the best! I am so glad we know y'all & thank you all for all your caring for Henry! read more

I rarely leave negative reviews, but my recent experience at Pet Lover Central in Boca Raton was troubling enough that I feel other dog owners should be aware. From the start, communication was disorganized. I had already sent in my dogs' vaccine records, yet I was asked to resend them because staff couldn't access the email address I was originally told to use. This was frustrating and felt like an unnecessary waste of time. When I picked up my dogs, several issues raised serious concerns for me. Their bed was returned broken, some of their toys were missing, none of their food was given back, and all of their treats were untouched which made me question what level of care they actually received during their stay. For a bill of nearly $900 for just three and a half days, I expected far better. What made the situation worse was the lack of urgency in addressing these concerns. Days went by without resolution, leaving me feeling that my time and my dogs' well-being were not valued. This was not the experience I anticipated, and based on what happened, I cannot recommend this facility. I hope management takes feedback like this seriously, because no pet owner should have to feel this way after trusting a business with their animals. read more

PLC is an amazing place to bring your babies. Simon is discerning and hasn't liked other daycare places, but he goes to PLC without a problem and is even excited to be there! The employees are kind and attentive and know our Simon by name when we bring him in. Pricing is actually competitive for the area after doing some comparative research which is a great thing as well. We use PLC for day care and boarding and Simon seems to like both! Keep doing what you're doing. read more

Our dog loves going to daycare at Petlover Central. she actually hops over the front gate to get in! No'goodbyes' or 'I'll see ya's!" The staff has always been great, when we enter we're acknowledged and our dog is retrieved right away. My only wish is that they had a facility in west Delray or Boca...but it's worth the drive! read more

Good boarding with extras to help with dog overnight stays, such as play areas, bedtime treats and more.

My dog and I loved the old Pet Lover Central. The current owners not so much. The ownership transition never made known to current clients. The service agreement was altered to remove any liability to the owners. The change of no staff on site for overnight boarding was not announced just in the new agreement. The termination of long term employees without cause. The hiring of a general manager with no experience in pet welfare. So if you want your pet with inexperienced staff, a company who is buying up independent dog care owners across 7 states and a loss of the personal care, continue using this business. read more

We used PLC for a one night boarding. upon drop off the guy working the counter had complete disregard for my presence. No hello, no "I'll be right with you." I had to be the one to say Hi, I am here for drop off. Also, picking up- another awkward encounter with a female who worked at this facility. The staff is unprofessional, no mindful etiquette. Now that our dog is home, he is breaking out in some weird brown funky hot spot patch on his chest, chin, and even near his eye. They make you get a bath upon pick up, yet he smelt like he did not get a bath. He is also not eating normally now that he is home. I would not recommend this establishment at all, and we will not be coming back. read more

Hudson just loves PLC - as soon as i pull into the lot, he knows fun awaits. And the group there takes such good care of him - a very special place. I know he loves it b/c he runs to the door every time! The welcome he gets melts my heart. And I just love that i can peek in on him with the cameras. Thank you to the great team there. BTW - Huston (Toy Poodle) does play daycare & he stays over nights from time to time. Top notch! read more

I rarely ever write reviews, but I've had such a positive experience bringing my 12 month old pug here for doggy day care that I thought it was only fair. The staff is very friendly and greets your dog as soon as they come through the door. My pup loves coming here and he pulls me in, with his tail wagging. I also love that I can watch him throughout the day on the doggie cams .If i have a question or concern, I can call and speak to someone right away . I am super particular with who I let watch my puppy and when I drop him off , i know he's in great hands and he's having a blast! Also, he comes home tired. Also, they do an incredible free photo shoot for your dogs first birthday. The pictures were adorable and came out looking so professional! I was so impressed by the photos I received to celebrate my guys first birthday. read more

The team at PLC are always so wonderful and take care of my little guy as though he was one of their own pups.

Best ever! My fur baby goldendoodle is a regular at Petlovers central. It's her favorite place on the planet. She can't wait to jump out of the car and literally runs full speed down the hall to see her friends. This is a perfect place for your happy high energy posh puppy. She is exhausted afterwards, and the next day too. The staff is amazing and loving. For over- protective parents like me, it's fantastic becuase I can watch her shenanigans on screen all day. There's always staff in every room. Petlovers is a big part of her life. Billy the trainer pulls her out and trains her while she's there!! A win/win. We absolutely love it. We have been going for almost a year and have zero complaints. Simply fabulous! . read more

Read all the great reviews, then went and got the tour. We booked a 7 day gold pkg stay. We picked up our 10lb Maltese shiztu and I knew she was sick, wheezing and coughing on the way home. Well, it's conjunctivitis and an upper respiratory infection and a vet bill on top of the PetCentral bill. I called to speak to the manager to make her aware of the issues and I was told it's like a child with a cold. They do what they can. She also went on to tell me what a great time my dog had playing with all the other dogs. They have a floor staff with plenty of people who told us, when we picked her up, that she was shy and quiet and did not really play with any dogs. Don't know if she was trying to smooth things over or what The owner just phoned and now I feel that my concerns were addressed. 1 or more dogs were sick and an honest update on my dog is more appreciated that a lie! read more

If there is one thing we can all agree on, it is that there is nothing better than a tired puppy! We adopted a 5 month old puppy recently, and both of us work full-time so we decided it was only fair to him to bring him to daycare. Roo had such a great (and exhausting) first day of daycare yesterday that he did not want to wake up for dinner last night! Needless to say, Petlover Central is the best daycare in the Boca & Delray area! From the very first day, they have treated our baby Roo like their own and that's what matters most to us! The best part- we are able to watch Roo play with his buddies all day long through the live webcam feature that they offer, which puts us at ease while we are at work. Even better, they send us a report card for Roo everyday including pictures of him with his buddies! Today was Roo's second day at daycare and as we walked through the door, the warm and friendly staff offered Roo a warm welcome back for another fun day! As we all know, there are so many doggy daycares in the area to chose from (and several are less expensive), however I would not consider any other place after just one day of daycare with Petlover Central. The passionate and knowledgeable staff make the place stand out from all of the others. Thank you to all of the amazing staff who take care of our baby when we cannot! Kellie & Dylan read more

Didn't have a good experience. Won't be back. - Constant barking. My dog was shell shocked when I picked him up. - When I booked with Michael, I wasn't told my 70lb dog would be in a crate. So I was told for another $6/day he could be in a glass enclosure. I agreed but was charged $8/day. - There is a $1/day charge for insurance, per an email they send their customers. I never got the email but had to pay anyway...I knew nothing about it. - When I booked the stay for over a week, I was entitled to one free day. Of course they forgot to reflect the free day on my bill. Luckily I caught it. - I gave them tons of treats and medication in a large baggie ... I never got it back. It somehow got lost per the owner. - My dog pooped 2-3 days worth after I picked him up - My dog had a serious bloody wound from licking his paw. The owner claims they look at the dogs daily. They didn't look at my dog. I spent about $20 on medication etc. so it would get better. It's still is not 100% healed weeks later. - Enough said read more

I did really love this place. But, unfortunately my sweet girl picked up kennel cough there and had a terrible time! She was in the hospital for four days, thousands of dollars later, they did call once to ask how she was. More than a temperament test, better a health test. read more

We used this kennel for nearly 18 years. We were always totally satisfied and our dogs loved to go there and always came back healthy and happy. So I booked them for my trip from 6/19/23-6/28/23 for our two Havanese who were 13 at the time. As I've always done, I packed all their meals in individual baggies, one for each dog and each meal. Their few medications were labeled for each dog and already in pill pockets which they loved. I also included typed instructions as always. When I returned, I was told that the business had been sold. When my dogs were brought out, they were very subdued which was not normal but I thought well, they're older so I put it down to that. When I got home and unpacked their bags, I realized that NONE of their meds had been given. The pouches in the outside front of the bags that said "meds and treats" and included the instructions and had not been touched. One dog had serious diarrhea and had lost over 4 pounds (from 16 1/2 to 12 lbs) and the other had lost over a pound and had gotten none of his blood pressure medication which likely meant he was suffering from serious headaches. I called Petlovers and very politely explained what had happened and asked to speak to the Manager. I was told they were not available and they never called me back. I had to take the dog who had lost all the weight to the vet the next day as he was very ill and could hardly walk. Then I carried him to Petlovers (our vet is in the same center) and asked again to speak to the Manager. They were "on the phone" and not available. I have yet to hear from them. I had to file a dispute with our credit card co to get ONLY the un-used boardings that I had prepaid. From the day I got them back, I spent the ensuing months making repeated trips to the vet, watching my beloved dogs who had been doing fine, decline. One developed pancreatitis and the other a tumor on his liver and spleen. I had to put them both down in September exactly two weeks apart. Of course I can't say that they got these illnesses as a result of their stay there, but it certainly didn't help that they were neglected. All I know is that they were chipper and energetic when I dropped them off and traumatized, underweight and ill when I got them back. I spent years recommending Petlovers to everyone I knew. DO NOT USE THEM NOW!! read more

I arrived in Boca on a Sunday night starting a new job Monday morning and didn't want to just abandon my 5 year old black lab in our new (empty) apartment. Pet Lover Central doggie day care to the rescue! Zoey's now been going every weekday for almost 3 months. She is excited to go, and even better the friendly staff are always excited to see her so I know she's getting good attention!!! The webcams are fun. I can always check in and see how her day is going. On days Zoey is too lazy to eat breakfast I can drop it off with her and try will feed her during her daycare stay! She comes home exhausted and happy everyday...which is a real treat for this dog mom! read more

I have been going to Petlover Central since 2012. my dogs habe been treated with the upmost care, kindness and love. I can't say enough about Petlover Central other than to suggest that anyone who wants to have his dog spend a really pleasant and safe time with other dogs needs to go to Petlover Central. These people take what they do way too seriously. And not in a good way. Brought my dog here one day after 12 noon and I sensed a thickness in the air. I asked if everything was ok and they responded by telling me they don't accept dogs after noon because "the pack is solidified." I just can't help but laugh. Almost every time I walked into their shop, I sense as if I was stepping on toes or doing something wrong. And now today, they call my fiance and inform us that our boxer pup is no longer welcome because he "lunged" at another dog. Meanwhile he's two years old, has been snapped at by multiple dogs in multiple different scenarios, and just accepted it and backed off. He's not aggressive at all and yes he's occasionally plays rough with other big dogs. This place is owned and operated by a bunch of Boca snowflakes. Pretty sure a lot of dogs play rough and I'm pretty sure that's exactly what we paid you $40 a day to supervise. If they're playing too rough you correct them and if correction doesn't work you separate them. Simple. Anyway, I think just out of spite I might get some of my investors together and open my own doggie daycare because so many of these places can't seem to get it quite right. Maybe I'll undercut this place by 10 bucks a day and offer a better facility, better overall brand and a better service. Uh oh! read more

I think they are absolutely amazing. My Stevie loves going there and I fully trust them with my baby.

My pup has been to a handful of daycares from Miami to West Palm and I can say without a doubt that this place is the best. My 2 doggies spent 3 days/2 nights over Thanksgiving. They loved loved loved it. They had so much fun -- we got to watch them over the webcam. I didn't have to worry about them at all as they were being taken care of and having so much fun with the other dogs. The staff there are excellent with the dogs, small, mid and large sizes. Its indoors and they have a good area to play in. The big plus is how easy it was to register and book, and I didn't have to worry about paying them while picking up my dogs. Everything was already taken care of. They also offer grooming services and if u forgot food, they can provide it too for a very reasonable fee. Definitely coming back!! read more
