Suggest chicken livers n gravy for app. Get the Mixed Chicken entree, with kale & cabbage. Comes with cornbread pancakes, add side of smoky pinto beans! My gf really liked the meatloaf. Didn't have room for their homemade desserts. Will definitely return soon and will recommend to friends and fam

Lindsay's kitchen is a hidden Lousiville gem that serves breakfast, lunch and dinner all day long located on cane run road in Lousiville Kentucky. Came run is a long and busy road however this location is on a secondary cane run road off the main strip that turns into the greenbelt expressway. Tucked away in an isolate area next to large LG&E commercial plant. The place is very large and spacious and has a cabin home country cooking vibe and decor. Almost like a Cracker Barrel meets a Gatlinburg pancake house. On our visit it was me the wife and our two youngest daughters. We was here for breakfast and had very friendly and fast service. The decor here is very homey and we loved the lantern lights string across the ceilings here. We decided to share an order of biscuits and gravy and it was extremely tasty. The babies got eggs, sausage and toast of the kids menu and they both devoured it so the breakfast is baby approved. The breakfast meals are numbered depending how you order. We both got a combo. My wife got the country fried steak with eggs and biscuits and she said it was very good. I went with the two egg, two bacon and two pancakes. Everything was cooked perfectly and had really good flavor. I personally was a big fan of the bacon. Very good flavor. Overall a really good experience at a place with a great hometown feel and very tasty food. Nice hidden gem in the south side of Lousiville.

If you are looking for a simple dine in diner, here it is!!! Great food, great service, HUGE menu, very fair prices!! We decided to take a drive......Watterson expressway to Dixie Hwy, to Lower Hunters Trace, to Cane Run Road and there Lindsay was!! A nice, spacious dining room.. can turn into one heck of an Elvis nite, when the 50% or better returns. Please go over their menu. It's extensive and on a 6p Sunday evening, only out of cabbage!!! The 4 of us ordered liver and onions, omelet, country fried chicken and meatloaf. Sorry to say, it was all soooo delicious, we didn't even stop to take photos!! And the tomato gravy for the meatloaf.....delish for those of us that like ketchup!! And the cornbread, pancake style......perfect!! And the huge menu....and the fair prices!!! Soooo worth the drive for us!!!! We will return soon and bring new customers with us!! Yes, it's definitely a diner, breakfast served all day, everyday. Open 7 days a week, 8a to 8p. These folks work their butt off for you. Lots of room for safe dining. Give them a try.....at least their coconut cream pie!!!

First time at Lindsay's Kitchen. We took a chance based on the ratings but I'm here to tell you we were not disappointed!! Upon entering the restaurant, do you notice the large establishment. They let you know that you can sit anywhere. We chose to sit close to the entrance. Upon us sitting, the waitress, brought the menus and ask what we would like to drink. We each ordered a cup of coffee. Then Tiffany came to ask us our order. I ordered the links, eggs, over easy, and tots. Pop's ordered strawberry French toast with sausage, and an order of Blueberry Pancakes. I can only speak for myself, the links were good, however they would have been great if they were hot. I also enjoyed your tots. What I really enjoy was the ambience, and the service we received is a good place to relax, look at the artwork, and the whole place felt so cozy. I will definitely return to Lindsay's Kitchen when we go back to Louisville!!! See y'all soon and thank you again Tiffany!!!

Really good spot that i had yesterday for lunch. My buddy picked us up some food and brought it back to work. I got the chicken fried chicken with mashed potatoes, corn, and corn bread. It was excellent. The food was tasty and plentiful. We will be back for sure.

Amazing food and service! Between me and my family we go there at least once a month. Probably more like twice a month. Lindsay has some super cute decorations in her restaurant. We all enjoyed our meals!

You order at the window, take a buzzer, get your drinks and find somewhere to sit. We (a party of 4) showed up around 11 on a Sunday morning and the line was already out the door. We had a hard time deciding what to order because everything we saw coming out before us looked just as delicious as the last. After the owner greeted us and gave a run down while in line, we settled on the shrimp and grits, steak and eggs, bread pudding french toast with a side of bacon, and a chicken and bacon croissant sandwich. (I wanted to order the biscuits and gravy weekend feature but they were already sold out.) The girl at the register was polite but very soft spoken so we had trouble hearing what she said. The coffee was the perfect temperature for drinking immediately without scalding yourself, and the different flavorings and types of milk/cream to choose from was a major plus! There were no complaints about any of our food except the steak was a bit under seasoned. I had the french toast, and, in my opinion, is enough for 2 people. There was a bit too much whipped buttercream for me but I was able to rake off majority, and the fruit that came on top was so fresh! The bacon was thick sliced and 3 of my 4 pieces were cooked perfectly to my liking - not too crispy, not too soft! We all were part of the clean plate club after eating because the food was that good! I wished now we would have taken pics of our food before eating! It's a shame it came up as #16 on my Yelp search because it wasn't even the least bit on my radar for our breakfast spot. The restaurant has a back parking lot and on street parking - the restaurant is quite large with two indoor seating areas and outdoor patio seating. The menu is large with a big brunch menu, lunch and entree options and kid's menu. We started with the s'mores hot chocolate and apple cider mimosas. The hot chocolate was pipping hot and delicious topped with toasted marshmallows. The apple cider mimosas had a weird flavor, I would recommend going with another fruit juice option. We ordered the kids buttered noodles with waffle on the side - big wide noodles that were swimming in butter. My son thought it was too much butter but loved the type of noodles. The waffle was good - not very sweet but he enjoyed it. My daughter loved the chicken and waffles entree, but I thought the portion was a bit small for an adult entree. The chicken was freshly breaded but the waffle was on the smaller side. The sandwiches and soups were delicious - we had the club which was filled with ham and turkey and the perfect amount of mayo. The tomato soup was creamy and so satisfying. The Ruben was a good size and stuffed with corned beef and melty cheese! Overall we had a great experience- a bit on the pricey side. I ordered the cinnamon roll as an appetizer, and for my main breakfast I had the banana bread French toast, biscuits with eggs and cheese, and orange juice. The orange juice was amazing super fresh, natural, and sweet. The cinnamon roll was good (not the best I've ever had, but still enjoyable). The food overall was solid. The banana bread French toast was really good, the eggs were cooked well, and the biscuits and gravy were also very tasty. On the downside, one of the plates came out a little dirty, which wasn't great to see. Other than that, the place itself was clean, the staff was friendly, and the experience was enjoyable overall. When it's said "they don't make them like this anymore", this place is what they mean. Ornate, elaborate and straight out of another era. I didn't stay at the Brown, so don't know what the rooms are like but if the lobby is an indication, I think it would be pretty cool. Stopped into J. Graham's on a Weds afternoon at 12:30. It was about half full. Service is quick and friendly. From looking around the room, it seemed that most people ordered the Hot Brown even though there is an extensive menu of other options. The Hot Brown is an open-faced turkey sandwich. A thick slice of turkey is served over thick-sliced bread. The turkey is covered with mornay (béchamel with Gruyère cheese), topped with bacon, sprinkled with parmasean and broiled in a gratin-dish, served with a roasted tomato. It's gooey and cheesy, turkey moist and tender, bacon crisp. Very hearty, very filling. Unique, definitely worth trying. Not sure I'm having another one, but glad I experienced it.

I went to Foko after hearing nonstop hype about it being one of the absolute best breakfast spots…read morein Louisville. The place is positioned as this incredible Mexican breakfast destination, so I figured it had to be something special. Turns out it's just standard Mexican food and drinks. Even if they were using using "the freshest most highest quality ingredients", it doesn't show in the final product at all. Heres what i got: The Espresso Martini ($14) was actually decent--nice and foamy with a solid chocolate note. The Carajillo ($8), on the other hand, was weak. It tasted like plain iced coffee with zero detectable alcohol. I wouldn't order it again. The Wake Up Burrito $14: their biggest hype item. I got it and added chorizo for $3.50, bringing the total to nearly $17.50. It's sausage, cheese, eggs, and beans wrapped up--pretty good, but nothing groundbreaking. Without their green sauce it's completely average, no different from any regular breakfast burrito at a diner. The green sauce itself is what really the only saving grace, but they serve it in tiny thimble-size portions like they're guarding some secret recipe. So for $18 you get a medium-size burrito plus a couple of fried tortillas with cheese on the side. Compare that to mexican spot like Bandito, where the burritos are twice the size and cost much less. This one is seriously overrated. The Chilaquiles - I got the side order of these with the burrito, and were average at best. Just fried tortillas with cheese and a little sauce that had a slightly sour edge. Not bad, but nothing I'd call amazing. I thought to myself, if these had egg and beans(what the main dish has) , would I have been glad to pay $17? The answer is no. Ive had better at the airport. Bottom line: Foko is incredibly overrated. It feels like a tourist trap built for people for those Luisville people who who don't eat much Mexican food and think this is the pinnacle. I get it, the decor is nice and gives that "premium" feel but the prices are way too high for what you actually get. I won't be back.
