Other dentists have told me "just deal with it", but the doc here came up with the perfect solution: we had an invisalign made for me -- not to align teeth, just to create a thin barrier that stops the grinding. It's made of very thin and light material, and I barely notice it in my mouth. They told me that they can't normally do this because heavy grinders would just chew through it, but for minimal and occasional grinding it's perfect. The moral of the story is, they took good care of me and I'm sure they'll do the same for you!

My husband went the very next day, and the exact same thing happened to him. It feels unacceptable to treat patients this way. We also took our daughters to the kids' dentist next door, and everything used to be fine until they changed doctors. The customer service noticeably declined after that. They referred my eight year old to their in house orthodontist even though she still has several baby teeth. They recommended a bracket spacer so her teeth would "come out," even though she did not need it. They took our payment immediately, but the service was incredibly slow every visit. The bracket kept falling off, and I had to bring her back multiple times. One of the techs even scolded her for it falling off, which was completely inappropriate. I told him not to blame her because the issue was clearly with how they were placing it. On one of the many visits to fix it, we waited an hour and a half, and that was when I knew we were done. When we finally told them that we no longer wanted to continue treatment, they simply said "okay, no worries" and sent us off without any concern. There was no attempt to understand the issue or keep us as customers, which says a lot. I ended up taking her to another provider who confirmed she did not need the spacer at all and simply needs time for her teeth to come out naturally. I am extremely upset about the amount of money and time we wasted here.
