I went back a few weeks later because my windshield wiper broke while driving down the road during a snow/rain storm; they were able to fix it and get me back in the road in less than 15 min.

We had a pretty decent experience. I knew which car I wanted, a 2022 Forester. I knew the price…read morelisted on the internet was "fair", so I pretty much showed up to buy it. I asked for $1000 off and they excepted (after a test drive). They stayed 45 mins past closing to get the deal done. I really appreciate that. But OMG, they sold my loan to 5/3 ("Fifth Third" bank). Terrible bank customer service. Rate seemed high to me -- 7.1%. I know, should have shown up with my own financing. They send me a letter to "set up my on-line account" so I can make loan payments. Can't create an account. Call the phone number the web site says to create an account. They tell me they need to create a "card" to create an account. I said I don't need a "credit card," I just need a login to my account. They argue that I need a "card." WTF is a "card?" After being on a call with the first person for 25 mins, they transfer me to an "on-line account specialist / supervisor" to create my account. They then off-loaded me to some automated "create your account on the phone system" that created a "credit card" with "pin" for me. Ughh. Seriously, if McLaughlin Subaru wants to finance you thru 5/3 Bank, you should consider just running from the building screaming at the top of your lungs.

They performed a courtesy car wash and i got it back and it looked like it had been dried with a dirty towel, scratched all over the car mainly the front end, i contacted them about the damage and they told me to return and they would repair the damage. When i returned they took the car in to be buffed and caused SO MUCH more damage. They didnt tape off any trim pieces or even clean the vehicle prior to buffing the car. They ground bug splatter and road debris like road tar into the paint and popped off bits of paint and clear coat. When i contacted and brought it to their body shop for an estimate their body shop manager fraudulently created an estimate and used images of a different vehicle in the report in order to deny responsibility for their negligence.

I bought a customized 2018 Jeep Wrangler with a turbo setup from them about 6 weeks ago. Paid cash…read morefor it. They advertised it as a "$100,000 open checkbook build". Definitely not true. I saw the ad on marketplace in the Quad Cities Iowa about 2 hours away from where I live in Illinois. I called Spencer (salesman) and made an offer and we made a deal so I drove out there to look at it. I was doing the walk around I noticed the exterior and interior was in much worse condition than the photos they posted but I was OK with that. I turned the Jeep on and let it run for about 6-7 minutes and I noticed it had an oil leak about 3-4 drops on the ground already. Spencer assured me it was just a $700 fix (discounted it for me $700) even though he couldn't tell me exactly what was leaking. I took it for a test drive and it did wander a bit but I figured that was normal for 38" tires I've never owned a vehicle lifted so high with big tires.I drove the jeep back and shook Spencers hand and made the deal in good faith that he was making an honest deal with me but that wasn't the case.He just wanted to get rid of a car he knew had major issues with no warranty. About 10 minutes after driving away I smelled antifreeze then the temp light came on and as soon as I pulled over under the hood exploded with steam and coolant was leaking everywhere. I noticed that some jackass routed a coolant hose directly on top of the turbo exhaust and it hot and melted a hole in it and coolant leaked everywhere. My girlfriend was following me in her car so we drove back to the shop and Spencer called his boss and they gave me the option to either refund my $$ or keep the jeep and they will fix it and ship it to me at no cost. Man do I wish I would've taken the refund but I wanted the jeep. They"fixed" by replacing the hose and adding 2 skinny zip ties to hold it in place so it wouldn't touch the turbo. It looked Ok but about 2 days later the hose loosened and touched the turbo and I broke down again on the side of the tollway at night for the exact same thing and had to wait hours for a tow. I sent a video of the breakdown to Spencer. I took the Jeep to "WildsideCustoms" in Naperville which is a very reputable Jeep shop to have it fully inspected.Wildside gave me terrible news. It had a major coolant leak and was leaking oil from a couple different places including the turbo and wildside doesnt do turbosThe whole front steering components were shot and had to immediately be replaced. When you upgrade to large tires especially 38" tires you have to upgrade everything and the only thing they upgraded was the lift kit but that was poorly installed too. It still had the stock brake system, stock axels, and the gear ratio was incorrect as well, I still have to replace all the shocks all around, and all the control arms all around, and pretty much redo the entire lift and components. Wildside had my jeep for about 3 weeks. I spent about $4200 with them. I then took it to a turbo shop here in Aurora where I live the they told me that I have to get the turbo replaced and its going to cost me $2400 to replace so they're currently working on that. They've had my Jeep for 2 weeks now. so far I'm $6600 in repairs plus the $30k I spent on the jeep not counting all the $$ I'm going to have to put into it to get it right. I reached out to spencer to see if they can help he said he will talk to his boss and get back to me but of course I never heard back so I had to call him and he basically told me to go screw myself nothing they can do. All I really wanted was for them to maybe pay for half the repairs I already did. I would've been happy with $2k-$3k. I sent him the detailed inspection report with pictures and the invoices and receipts of what I paid but spencer still told me they're not willing to help. They knew this jeep had issues and they knew the turbo was leaking and it had to be replaced otherwise they would've fixed it before putting it up for sale. DONT WALK AWAY FROM THIS DEALERSHIP RUN!! JUST ANOTHER SLEEZY DEALERSHIP SCREWING PEOPLE OVER.

We test drove a similar model and he showed us pics of the vehicle we were interested in. Only after I asked about a warranty he advised the vehicle has a salvage title, but only due to theft and not damage. Initially we were open to the idea of purchasing a salvage title vehicle. He told my wife and I that he sells lots of cars before they make the lot so we could put a $500 deposit down in the vehicle And if for any reason we decide we don't like it he'd refund the deposit back. He advised that the vehicle was currently at the shop getting a couple panels refinished and that he'd call us in a couple weeks when it should be done. After about a week and some thought we decided we were no longer interested in this vehicle because it was a 1 yr old vehicle with 25,000 miles, and a salvage/rebuilt title with no warranty. We did not want to spend $48,000 on a 1 yr old vehicle with a salvage title with and extended 5 yr warranty and would like our deposit back. He rambled on for several minutes about hypotheticals etc telling me I was taking food off of his table (while holding MY $500). I called twice asking for my deposit back and both times he refused. I'd give 0 stars to this clown. Definitely don't recommend.
