I placed a deposit over 3yrs ago with this Eriksen Chevy in Milan IL for a ZR1 allocation I have all the paperwork showing I'm 1st on the list Finally got a call from my salesman, telling me I need to put in all my selections because my number came up Gave him all my selections. I asked when the car will be ready, he said more than likely 6 to 8 weeks Next thing you know their GM Tom Pospisil sells it to somebody else. He even skipped the person 2nd, 3rd ,4th ...etc in line and sold it to somebody who wasn't even on the list They basically called me and said sorry we sold it to somebody else I asked how can this happen and was told by my salesmen and sales manager that "We don't know none of us know except TOM POSPISIL Hmm? Awfully suspicion Hmm? Tommy?? "To bad so sad Ken" The guy that got it must've dropped some serious money to steal my spot. How much did you pocket on your side hustle ... baby...?? You get some serious dough ?? We bought three cars from them, and they used to be honest The salesman I was dealing with called me n was furious with the GM Tom. He told me he was going to quit n would write me a letter telling how Tom threw him under the bus. Pretty sure you didn't pick that up during your time with the seminary When I spoke to Tom the GM he blamed the salesman. So, this Tom Posilil did indeed thru his own salesman under the bus. You're a "great guy Tommy " I've been waiting for over 3 yrs for my dream car and Tom cheated me of my dream car I was promised the Corvette at MSRP. Tom and I'm 200 % sure flipped my spot for a huge $$$ I spoke to Tom and 2nd time, and he was like "Ken I'm honest I was with the seminary" .... Well that explains a lot of Ok great Tom well that makes you honest!!? My apologies Seminarian Tommy My Zr1 was not ordained wonder if my Zr1 can ever become ordained Deacon Z and Deacon Tommy .... Hmm? has a nice ring to it I will be filing a complaint with Chevy for this unethical behavior. If anyone else has had issues with Eriksen Chevy in Milan IL or Tom Posilil reach out to me. Absolutely would NOT recommend Bob Eriksen service department to fix any car...after having car inspected to drive cross country car started leaking oil...had recommended work done, took trip...car still leaking oil...call to make appointment to reinspect, appointments are more than a week out...wait for 1.5hrs to have them send me home w/o reason for leak nor having it fixed...price for 'repair' 30 percent higher than original quote, and the original problem is still not fixed leading me to believe I payed for something unnecessarily...I will not be returning to Bob Eriksen for ANYTHING as they seem far too busy for the little person. read more

The silverado broke down after 5,000 miles which is a little ridiculous already. Took it to Eriksen and it sat there for a week while I drove this moving billboard for their dealership to add insult to injury. I'm also 6'8" and if I wanted to be uncomfortable, I would have bought an equinox but I didn't. The bed cover was damaged when I came back to get the truck. First they tried to gaslight me asking are you sure it wasn't like that when you came in with a smug attitude. I was positive it was not. This cover has seen rain, snow and a lot of it and hasn't had any damage until it was in their possession. The service manager finally made his way out to discuss it after about 15 minutes and immediately said, "Carmen didn't call you?" Admitting they knew the cover was damaged. There was no call and pretended they didn't know. Then the service manager said that it rained and it damaged the cover and said maybe it was installed incorrectly. I decided it was what it was to avoid dealing with the incompetence anymore and left the dealership. Picked up my children and on the way home, the errors below popped back up and the truck would barely accelerate. I went back to the dealership immediately and drove into the service garage and told them that they did not repair the truck and I need the loaner back since I'm stranded with my children. I then had to wait another 30 minutes for them to bring the loaner back up. I'm assuming they were upset at my reaction to their incompetence. I did ask the service guy if I would be held responsible for damage to the loaner while it's in my possession and he shrugged and said it depends. If I could give them a lower review both for Chevrolet and Eriksen's, I absolutely would. Smug, condescending service people, customer satisfaction is definitely lacking in every sense. I would recommend going to Green if you even take the risk with a Chevrolet. read more

Called Eriksen on Saturday, August 26 around 11am, about a 2023 Chevy 2500 they had in stock. The price was sent in text at $65,985 (see pictures in Google review) They confirmed it was on the lot. My partner let them know he would be on the way in about 2 hours. When my partner arrived they increased the price by almost $1000. When asked why there was a price increase in a matter of two hours the salesman said they put Nitrogen in the tires which was an added $300 and then around $600 for little RFID Or GPS tracking stickers to be placed on the vehicle so it could be found if stolen. We questioned why that was necessary when the vehicle had Onstar to be tracked if stolen? My partner asked them to remove the Nitrogen from the tires and take the stickers off because we just were sent a text that the vehicle was $65,985. The dealership refused and even joked that my partner was being "cheap". A few searches on the internet reveal these stickers are placed so Dealerships/ Law Enforcement can find vehicles if they need to repossess them. The finance man was arrogant and condescending about the salesman we worked with, sales manager refused to take off the extra costs that were added on last minute to mark up the price. Horrible purchasing experience. This dealership is unprofessional and has no integrity, lives up to all the shady things you hear dealerships doing to make a sale. read more

I would consider the place the worst car dealership in the QCA. I always come with pre approved check from my bank. After the salesman found this out he told me that I should just finance through the dealership as IHMVCU uses them. I declined and he stated that the loan officer at the bank was not doing what was proper. I informed him this was the way I not like to do transactions with car dealerships. Ericksen would not sale me the car and called management on the loan officer to complain. I told the bank to call me and I will explain which happen. The bank obviously took my side as it's my right but the owner of the car dealership sided with salesman and we bought a car from a different dealer. I've had nothing but trouble with the Cruze that was sold to me since the day I drove it off the lot a year and a half ago. The Compass warranty was a joke and only covered 1 of the more than 5+ repairs it has needed. I finally cancelled it yesterday since it was a waste of money. It now needs a $1000 worth of work on it due to an oil leak (yet another thing that wasn't covered by the warranty), which I had to take care of myself because Ed didn't want to be bothered to call Compass, most likely because he knew it wouldn't be covered. I can't take it to your shop because I'll be charged for it. I would have went there only to find out it wasn't covered and have to pay $125 for you to look at it. Here's a thought, maybe don't sell pieces of junk and you wouldn't have to pay people to work on them. I can't get anything else because of my bad credit. I'm stuck with it. I'm stuck driving a car that is junk and have to try to come up with the money for another costly repair, which I shouldn't have to do considering everything that is going on. There is no reason a 2012 should have this many issues! The only reason I gave you 1 star of because of Erika. She deserves more than 5, and has been a saint. I was so excited when I first got the Cruze because I was told it would be a more reliable car than what I had been driving (a 2006 Buick, which ran better than the Cruze!!!). BE CAREFUL WHEN PURCHASING FROM ERICKSEN CHEVY i got the car 1/8/2021 and have not had it in my possession for more then a full week I haven't even made my first payment since it Is not due until 2/20/21 buyers beware, I recently purchased a car thru Eriksen chevy in Milan Illinois i was under the impression that this was a certified pre owned car which under my understanding the car is fully inspected and necessary repairs are done before the car goes on the lot to be sold, 3rd day of having the car shift knob fell off took it in and they repaired it , 5 days later the car starts shifting rough i took it in they changed the transmission oil, picked up the car and read the paperwork, joe zawada also made sure to let me know they were not responsible for any repairs after the car was sold which I understand if the car was sold as is it was not it has an implied warranty they found i also had a bad wheel bearing and put a note that i refused repairs, called and talk to the service manager JOE SAWADA and ask him why i was not informed of the problem i was told i had to pay 800 for the repairs, after back and forth they took it down to 100 dollars cool get off the phone with them after scheduling the appointment for the wheel bearing car starts overheating and breaks down, I take the car in for repairs and was made to pay 1300 picked up the car again and a few days later what happens car breaks down again and goes in to limp mode engine is not running properly so the car is running very slow and hard read more

While looking for a work car, we visited a couple dealerships. We became frustrated when the salespeople at other dealers kept showing us cars that were out of our budget. When we arrived at Eriksens, we expected more of the same, but were happily surprised. The salesperson listened to what we needed and our budget and then showed us vehicles that fit our descriptions. She never tried to "upsale" or push us into something we simply didn't want or need. The sale was quick. The negotiations were fair. Bought a brand new 2016 chevy Colorado had to bring it in for service due to leaking antifreeze. Mind you it's a brand new vehicle. Should have not had anything wrong with it. Noticed it a couple days after purchasing. The vehicle only month old. We had been able to drive it all this time. They found the problem have to order a part have to bring it back again once part is in. Drove it home no heat and engine light came on and temp gauge off the chart. Got it home called service dept. mechanic that checked it out gone for the day. Not right they should have handled it the same day. Had to wait till he came in the next day could not drive it. Brand new truck could not drive it. Mechanic called next day the towed it back to shop had it till about 2:00 in the afternoon. It's driving again but this should of never happen. One it's a brand new vehicle should not had been leaking antifreeze. And second when we brought it in for them to check out we should got it back the same way problem fixed or drivable.
