They did a good job fixing a mistake that another GM dealership messed up. My Tahoe had car trouble in Evansville, Wy on a weekend. Had to leave my Tahoe at the GM dealership there, take a bus back to Salt Lake City, and catch a flight home for work. They replaced the crank angle sensor, and I had the vehicle shipped home. Several months later I ended up on the side of the road on my way to work. Had the vehicle towed to Green. They discovered that the wires to the crank angle sensor had been routed wrong, had been rubbing against a moving part, and had finality broken. I mistakenly believed that they would fix it and not charge me, since it was a GM shop's mistake. Instead they charged me full price and left me to deal with the dealer ship in Wyoming on my own. They said that if the shop was honorable they would refund me what they charged me. An honorable dealership? Yeah right. I didn't even bother. That was 16 years ago. I understand that each shop is independent, and that that is how GM does business (or did at one time). That does not mean I ever have to do business with a GM dealership again. Green is one dealership we will never deal with again. The obviously brand new sales lady was extremely pushy, asking me if I wanted to put down a deposit on a vehicle within 4 minutes of arriving and asking about a truck I had found on their website. Then she asked me again 10 minutes later on the test drive. We had another vehicle to look at somewhere else before we made our decision, and they made it very hard to for us to leave. She kept asking about a deposit to hold the vehicle. When we made our decision, we called the sales manager and made a cash offer for the truck, and he agreed. When we arrived to finalize the deal, I noticed the price on the final paperwork was not what we had agreed on. I questioned them about it, since it was a $1000 difference. The sales manager completely denied agreeing to that price. He was on speakerphone with my wife and I when the deal was made, so he didn't have a leg to stand on. He insisted we must have misunderstood him. The price wasn't even $1 less, so what did we misunderstand ? The other truck I went to look at was $2000 less, but 2 years older and higher mileage. I got up to walk out at that point, but my wife was so frustrated with the entire car buying process by this point that she pulled me back down and just wanted to get it over with. I won't even get into the problems we had almost immediately with the truck, that is another story. Experiences like this and car salespeople like this are turning customers to the internet. My next vehicle will more than likely come from Carvana or something similar. read more

Took my truck in for a noisy transmission/transfer case problem said they put in a new transfer case still make same noise took it back and they had it week no calls so I just showed up and sure enough they said that was normal noise told them it was not right drove another truck on the lot to prove to them it was not correct cost was 1200.00 dollars and still have the same problem I definitely feel as they have not been fair at all please beware read more

This is the third vehicle we have bought from this dealership in the past 4 years - and the third one from Trina. She is quite knowledgeable about cars/trucks and is very customer focused. We also appreciate the clean, modern facility with a very comfortable waiting area. My husband thinks highly of the service department, but this is my first car from Green and I haven't gotten a car serviced here before. The price was great and the paperwork was completed fast. I purchased a new 2013 gmc terrain. After the waranty ended the rear main seal gave out. They said moisture got in thru the pcv froze and popped out seal with 93,000 miles. No one from green, gmc or gm told me about this problem. It cost ne $2430 to repair it. I called gmc who knew about the design problem that caused this and was told it was too costly to inform owners of potential problem. Had i been notified this expense never would have come up. Green, gmc0 and gm were negligent and i will never buy from ir recommend them to anyone and i will do all i can to discourage anyine from buying gm period. I found a nice F-150 FX4 online that I had inquired about and was contacted the next morning.. so far so good. We discussed and confirmed the truck's features as well as my current truck for which I was assured there were already two people who'd put in a request for exactly what I had. Mentioned what I'd seen my trade booked at and was assured that Green could give me a great trade in value since it was so highly in demand, followed up with how with my credit (just under 800 mind you), I could probably even qualify for 1.9% financing. They were going t run some numbers for me. Sounded great right? That was the last good feeling I had about this place. The next day I got a call saying how they were so busy, they'd not had a chance to follow up with the manager, but could I please send 10 or so pics and a list of features so they could come up with a ballpark figure for my trade in value. They also mentioned that they had run a few numbers (btw suddenly my 1.9% was now 3.24%)... but maybe they could get 2.74%. At that point my alarm bells were starting to go off, I tried to end it gracefully and acknowledge that they probably could not get me in the payment ballpark I had in mind, but he was adamant that they could maybe drop the price by $1000 and maybe give me $1000 more on my trade than I owed, that we could probably find a way to make it work. I caved and said ok, let me know what my options are. Got a text the following day saying they were so busy that they couldn't follow up, even though I'd submitted their requested info. Said they could manage it Monday. So Monday rolls around and I get a text saying they could only commit to a trade value of $1000 LESS than what I owed, nothing more till they saw the vehicle. Said it would be no more than $1000 either direction. So much for being able to give me the best trade in value. At best it would be what I owed and still less what I'd seen the truck booked at. On top of it, they then submitted a screen shot showing what Kelly would cut me a check for: $3500 LESS than what I owed and what I'd seen it booked at on Kelly BB... and nothing more at all regarding what they could find for an interest rate. Said they didn't want to submit an actual request until we had a good sale figure, even though I asked previously to submit using the straight sale price, assuming that the trade would be an even wash. I just wanted to see what the best interest rate offer would be. I have no idea if this kid was new at his job or if clear communication was just that much of a challenge. I felt like I was being played the entire time: fluctuating statements on interest possibilities, on my trade in value, and ALWAYS too busy since they were the biggest dealership. I'd had enough and ended it with a final text. I will never even inquire with these folks again. The impression was unprofessional, unorganized, uncommitted and clearly willing to tell a customer ANYTHING to keep them interested in the sale. IF i could rate ZERO I would. So i worked all day with Dalton and Shaun Sneath WHO is the sales manager! on purchasing a car from them. I am sent a purchase agreement on the car and said i would call first thing in the morning with the down payment. They sold the car just after sending me the purchase agreement. Zero communication. I also purhchased a non refundable train ticket to head out to pick it up. No one took the time to contact me and said the vehicle was sold from under me. Never use these people they are a JOKE!!! Purchased 2017 VW Alltrack a few months ago - AS IS, but remaining manufacturer's warranty. Tanner Boone, salesman. Within a few weeks, wife kept noticing a bad odor inside vehicle. Found some water on rear carpet, and eventually found a lot of water in tire well. Called Green and talked to Shaun Sneath, used car manager. He said take car to Lujacks and they would fix the probable cause; sun roof leakage under the warranty. Lujacks found a minor leakage, and repaired under warranty, but when I asked about the cleanup/dryup inside, the warranty would not cover. Got estimate. Called back Shaun. He would not compensate for any cleanup. Authorized Lujack's to do the inside disassemble, dryout, etc. A few days later, tried one more time at Green to help compensate the cost, and this time talked to Jim Anderson, general manager. Offered to split the cost. He offered to bring car back to Green for a free cleanup; but at this point was too late. He checked with owner and replied in a few days that they would not compensate. When I picked up the car after dryout, I was told that they also found broken glass inside. Make your own conclusion. At about the same time (a thousand miles later on car); I found out that when Green initially received car on their lot they changed the oil (routine). My VW requires (not just recommends) a special '502' type oil (same is true for Audi's). Green put in Dextos, a non-'502' oil. Green was now willing to put in Mobil-1. I refused, and told Lujack's to change the oil. Not sure, but they may have voided my engine warranty. I am 73. This has been my worst used car buying experience! read more

Having recently moved to the QC area, finding all the places that you need to go to get routine services done isn't always easy. My 2013 Buick Encore was due for both an oil change, and a tire rotation. I had driven by Green Buick GMC a few times and decided to take my vehicle there for service. I arrived around 4:30pm and they promptly got my vehicle in for service and back to me. I was very impressed that they took the time to cover the inside of the vehicle even though it was "just an oil change". I would definitely recommend Green Buick GMC. read more

Sooo I can't hold this in anymore!! PSA TO ALL Never take your car to Green Buick GMC Davenport body shop! This has been THE WORST experience of my life! I get my truck(engagement ring) back after she got hit and not only was a price missing out of what they said was a "brand new part" that I had to go back the week after to get put in. On top of that they didn't even do a good paint job! They left a scratch the size my pointer finger that they just painted over hoping I wouldn't see it AND didn't even paint all the way around the bottom of the tailgate or finish buffing it! Plus covering up a scratch also put a few on her while there they had to buff out before I would take her home the first time...Well jokes on y'all I do get down and close and see stuff most would miss and now this. After waiting 3 weeks to get the mistakes they didn't do right the first time they give me some GMC Acadia and when I ask for something else they don't have anything for another week. So now 4 weeks later I might actually get it fixed right the first time??? read more

I had a 2015 Canyon which I really loved and hated to part with so soon but in order to be able to trailer a new recreation trailer I needed a new vehicle with a more conclusive adaption to my needs in towing over 1000 lbs comfortably. They will not earn any future business from me ! I went in and dealt with TOM BAXTER. He seemed at first very nice and professional . I found a vehicle I liked , it was late at night on a Thursday night and I told him if everything worked out I would come and purchase it on Saturday . In the meantime I found a vehicle that was a much better deal, price & interest rate at Carousel Nissan in Iowa City where I was going to turn my VW on buyback , so it worked out to be much more convenient for me so I didn't have to have someone drive with me a hour away . So I texted Tom and told him I really really appreciated his time (which was a quick test drive and getting my financial info) and that I was sorry I found something that worked out better but I do trade my car in every 2 years so he could definitely earn my business in the future. His response back. "Are you $@& Kidding me ??? I was so shocked. I said. No why would I be kidding about that ? His response was " Unreal !! I took your word as HONOR !" Wow. Without typing my whole response back on here I basically said that how dare he question my "honor " and I have worked in sales for over 20 years and I have never EVER said that to a customer of mine who told me they were buying from me and then ended up not !! You know why ???? Because I might earn their business in the future !!!! His response was....... "Delete my number from your phone ! "". At this point I am livid . I told him to have a blessed day and called the General Manager who basically said. I'm embarrassed by this and thanks letting me know ! Buyer beware!!!!! I purchased a vehicle from here about 6 months ago, was pre approved through my bank and went in to look at vehicles. The sales manager tried pressuring me into going through their finance people to the point I had to get stern and tell him if he didn't want to process my paper work for what I already had in place I would take my business else where. He then finally took the hint and I proceeded to buy my suv. Fast forward to today where I dropped my car off to the service department due to my AC not working at 8:30 am in the morning. I was told it would be 3-4 hours. My wife had to call them because it had hit the 5 hour mark and we hadn't heard anything! We were made aware that my car hadn't been looked at yet and that they were backed up. A couple of hours later she called again to find out they weren't able to do anything and I would have to take my car to a ford dealership. They lied to me for one but then kept my car all day without contacting me once only for me to pick it up the same way I dropped it off. I would highly recommend not giving them any of your business. Buying with them has been nothing but a headache and I regret it 100%! read more

My car had a recall notice - and I called Green to have it looked at. She said they would only replace it if it was having problems, but didn't state "what the problems" would look/smell/perform like. The recall was dealing with the battery in the back seat and electrical. Well, before all that - I did notice that when I ran the heater on high - and drove the car for about 20+ minutes it would have a very strong odor of "burning electrical". I mentioned this when I dropped it off (Monday). The service rep that I spoke to on the phone was not available when I arrived. Even though 3x other service reps were there - they stood around and made jokes and NO ONE bothered to offer to "check in my vehicle" until after 15 minutes of me waiting. What a joke and a bunch of jerks. After the car was checked in - it wasn't until the following day (end of the day) - when I called Green and asked for an update. The service rep said they had done a little test drive - and couldn't reproduce the smell - but would keep it another day and try the following day. They called and said they found the smell and would tear it apart and look into it. On Thursday, at the end of the day - the service rep called and said they couldn't find anything - and asked what I wanted to do. WTF!! So, they smell it but can't find nothing - and ask me what they should do? At this point, I can't pick up the car until Monday - cause I am headed out of town. On the following Monday, the service rep is not there - and I go to the "Payment window" to get my keys. Two gals behind the window - were the ones who took the car out for a drive (twice) - (not even the mechanic!!!) So, they charged me $70 to do nothing with my vehicle - but put on over 100 miles - and leave it near empty - and not even a wash!!! Such bullshit! Please don't waste your time with the lack-of quality service at this dealership. Not worth your frustration - and definitely not your cash or added miles to your car. read more

Having been a Ford owner for many years, GMC finally came out with a well equipped and quality Sierra 1500 for 2017. So after researching on the internet the average dealer price and the GMC manufacturer website, I decided to embark Green's GMC to attempt a purchase if such a vehicle. I had the currently GM list of dealer cost for the vehicle based on ordering ode proved by GMC Central Customer Service and had picked out the truck I wanted on Green's internet site. When I got to the dealer I decided to talk directly with the New Car Manager to cut down the red tape of purchasing the vehicle. I presented my cost list which include a $2000 profit, transportation cost and the standard bed liner liner cost when ordered from manufacturer. Vehicle's like mine were selling on Auto trader for $9500 to $10,000. My vehicle one owner-only 78,000 mile with all local maintenance records and no collision damage would be worth at least $9000 to $10,000. My price goal was close to True Care of $40,580 to $42,900, The 2017 GMC Sierra 1500 SLT list for approximately $54,895 with a GM MRSP discount to $51,895. After Jim (New Car Manager) test drove my vehicle, he came back with price of $46,595 which included all current GMC discounts including military. Needless to say I left the dealership without a new truck and a good example of poor business ethics towards customers. I got my new truck, but sadly at another GMC store delivered to my door with addition equipment of mud flaps and chrome exhaust for total cost of $43,894 really including military and all GM discounts. After calling Green GMC Buick for an estimate for a simple repair the service writer would not give a quote but had us schedule an appt. We showed him the digital display in the car. So after a diagnostic test, he calls & says its $625 to replace a thermostat that we told him what he problem was from the beginning & $112 for the test because we wouldn't pay such an outrageous repair cost for a thermostat. If that's the only way Green GMC Buick can make money, STAY AWAY RUN AWAY. Schiesters they are!! read more

Not a good experience at Green. Unfortunately my daughter wanted to buy a car from them. They first mislead her on the interest rate she would get, assured her it would be about 2.5% approximately. Four hours later because that is how long it took them to get it all done, and she got to the table to sign the paperwork they sprung it on her that the interest rate is 5% instead! We had to refinance that loan shortly after. They also couldn't figure out how much sales tax to charge her and made a mistake with that and a month later sent a bill for the amount they forgot to charge her. Aren't you a car dealer? Don't you know how to figure an interest rate or charge sales tax? I am in disbelief at the ineptness of the finance and billing department. Get your act together, stop deceiving people and get your figures right the day you sell a car to someone. Why should we have to pay for your mistakes???? I would never send anyone there! read more

I am like thousands and thousands of GMC Acadia owners who is having their A/C going out. GMC is well aware of the problem but yet does nothing about it. It was gonna cost me around $2800 to get it fixed. GMC's negligence for taking responsibility for their bad product is costing hard working people lots of money and dealerships such as Green Buick GMC in Davenport IA is reaping the benefits of this problem. I will not fall victim to this. It will just go down as a lesson learned. I will NEVER buy a GMC product again unless they show that they can stand behind what they are selling.Those of you who are having the same problem, save yourself $2800 and go buy some Max Seal and some 134A refrigerant and you can temporarily solve your A/C issue for around $100. Green was also going to charge me $370 to replace both headlamps. I don't know where you get your lights from, but find a new vendor. I bought both of them for under $50 and it took about 15 minutes to change them out. Don't price gouge people. We have always had our service done at Green since we bought our car brand new in 2013. You have lost a customer. I'm sure this will fall on deaf ears as does the A/C problem in GMC products. Shame on both GMC and Green Buick GMC Davenport IA. read more

Brought my 2013 Chevy Spark in on Sat 3-18 for an engine noise. I had a video of what the noise sounded like and Kathy (service person) took my phone with the video and showed it to the head mechanic on duty. He didn't have time to look at it on Sat so I brought it back in on Mon 3-20 and dropped it off. It was then test drove on Mon and Tues (when I got the car back on Wed it was virtually out of gas. Had at least 1/4 of a tank when I dropped it off. First stop I had to make was the gas station before I even got home) and driven over 100 miles. The engine noise it was brought in for was a 'tick tick tick tick tick' that is very very noticeable on start up as well as once the engine is warm. Because Kathy or the mechanic couldn't get the car to do exactly what had happened in the video they claimed that they didn't know what to look for in order to try to effect repairs. There is something wrong with my car but it seemed like Kathy & the mechanic didn't want to try to even figure out what it was. Chevy needs to look at this and make good on their warranty. 5 years 100,000 miles on powertrain. read more
