If you thinking about moving here THINK AGAIN Already seeing how cheap this place really is. The floors are garbage -- mine cracked just from sitting in an office chair. Not jumping around, not dragging furniture -- just existing. Management's response? "Not our fault." No accountability, no integrity. They'd rather blame tenants than admit they cut corners with low-quality materials. Rent is high, service is low, and they'll nickel-and-dime you for their poor construction. Lived at Lindley Apartments for two years, beginning at the height of the pandemic. Pros and cons are as follows: Pros: 1. Pet friendly complex with spacious apartments. 2. Danny, the maintenance guy is quite efficient 3. They have an app to make payment/request services 4. Amazon Locker on site Cons: 1. Garage had cars often broken into 2. Trash shooter often times flooded (monthly fee for this) 3. Amenities - pool/fitness center (often times unable to use) 4. Not under rent control- they ridiculously increase prices every year (and can also careless that there's a worldwide pandemic) 5. Security deposit? Good luck getting even 1/2 of that back. They'll find any excuse to not pay you. When my roommate and I first moved in, the paint job previously done hadn't been sanded down properly (I had brought that to their attention). Somehow when we moved out we had to be financially responsible for it. 6. Mailboxes?? Yeah does get broken into often as well. 7. Security system is awful (again monthly fee). 8. Leasing office is neither helpful or accommodating. read more

I will start by saying that I have been in this building for four years, and it has been one of the best choices made in 2020. Unfortunately, this will probably be our last year signing a lease. Ever since they started rotating management almost daily, and maintenance staff by the weeks/months, things have gone down. Especially our elevator outage in one of the most popular elevators used by tenants and all construction workers working on new apartments. It's been at least 6 months of "we're working on it" and just when it gets fixed, it is broken again and we are having to physically push the door closed. Having to help elderly up the stairs with groceries. No email, sign, or any type of update sent out to us regarding the matter, no matter how many tenants complain. And now with rotating maintenance we ended up without a working dryer for over 2 weeks because no one was following up and the next person didn't know what the last person did to it. It was 100% better when it was a handful of people downstairs and Danny as the main super. It's starting to feel like the other luxury buildings we passed on because of complaints like this. read more

This is an awesome community to live in. I lived here for almost 2 years. The apartments are safe, secure, and any concerns are addressed promptly by the staff. Danny, who does maintenance is absolutely amazing. He fixed any issue that came up fast and always did a great job. One time I was concerned about a potential leak and he came by after hours and took care of it in minutes. There are Amazon lockers for your packages and the apartments have smart home locks and thermostats. Highly recommend these apartments. I only moved out because my roommate had to relocate for work, but wish I could've stayed. read more

Lindley Apartments was one of the options I looked at, before settling on Bella Vista Warner Ridge. Samantha is a leasing consultant at both properties and is very knowledgeable. I was told that they are a "podded community" so the whole team is really very hands on. Any questions I had were quickly answered by someone either at Lindley or Bella Vista! The renovations are immaculate and the square footage for the price is unheard of! The only reason, I didn't choose Lindley was because I preferred the amenities at Bella Vista Warner Ridge. If you want an expert, ask for Samantha! She will give you great insight and information for both properties! Such a kind and intelligent girl! read more

I'm giving 2 stars because it's a pet friendly community and I like when buildings allow large dogs. That's it. I lived here for two years. First year in a one bedroom facing the freeway, second year in a 2bed 2bath facing the freeway. The nicely painted exterior, sun deck and gym are the only nice things about this place. When we moved in there was a problem with transients sneaking into the building and using the gym facilities at night. One night my boyfriend and I were coming home from a movie and when we walked into the elevator there was a man attempting to urinate IN the elevator. We reported it, Im not sure what they did about. Management is useless, they're not helpful at all, may as well not have them. The roach issue was intolerable and we suffered from it since day one of living here. Apparently the tenants before us had this issue and the management said they thought "orkin had resolved it already" There's so much more but I'll finish with the rent and deposit. The rent is insane, I paid 2,650$ for a crap 2b2b that had roaches and barely working appliances, OLD washer and dryer, and the window glass was such bad quality that it cracked from the outside, I guess from heat of the sun? That's the explanation we got. Lastly, they took our whole deposit and demanded another 600+ dollars because of the carpet, which I guess doesn't cost much if it had reached the end of its "5year lifespan" but there was no documentation that showed it was a new carpet so I didn't like that much. PLEAEE READ WHAT HAPPENED TO US THIS MORNING This is how they welcome you at Lindley apartments after having a BABY... we are planing to come home at 11am today, 2 hours from now...and there is nobody here to address our issue. Manager always late and this is another reason not to rent apartment in this complex. It's the 3rd time it happens in 2 weeks. Do your self a favor and don't ever rent an apartment here. THE WORST PART IS THAT IT'S 9:27am and and the leasing office should have been opened at 9am...NO BODY HERE HELP US WITH THE PROBLEM. I live for 3 years and this building just become really bad... it might looks nice on the outside BUT the inside is rotten. We lived here for four years, during which time we suffered through a lot. There are essentially two things you can count on at this building: everything in your apartment will break (see below), and your rent will be increased 5-10% every year regardless of what the current market trends support, and regardless of what identical (or superior) apartments in the same building are offered for on the corporate website. Let's talk about some of the issues we experienced while living here: Danny is a great maintenance employee, but the maintenance managers who work for this company are pretty bad. During our time living here, we went through several maintenance managers. One of the maintenance managers they brought in was described as a "fixer" who was going to make things better. My lasting memory of her is calling in "code blue" when she failed to fix a tub faucet handle properly and it started spraying her with scalding hot water. By the way, you're lucky that Danny is such a great guy, because you'll be getting to know him very well as he comes back to fix problems. Some of the problems we experienced: a) Shortly after we moved in, our garbage disposal stopped working. The manager argued with us about fixing or replacing it, but finally relented. She had the nerve to tell me that "you can't expect the garbage disposal in your apartment to be as good as the one in your parents' home." Um, you can when it's the exact same model that your parents have (Badger half horse power, pretty common and sold at Home Depot). b) Our refrigerator leaked multiple times after we moved in. We kept complaining to the manager, who fed us various lies/excuses such as "you're keeping it too cold" (we weren't), "you're storing too little food in it" (we weren't), and was basically unresponsive until I sent an e-mail advising that since we had put management on notice of the issue, and they had failed to respond appropriately, we would not be responsible for ensuing water damage caused by the problem. Would you believe they replaced the refrigerator shortly thereafter when they finally took a look and decided there was something wrong with ours? Yup. c) Going back to the genius who couldn't deal with the tub faucet... we were told repeatedly that they couldn't source the particular cartridge they needed to fix the handles in both tubs, which were so loose that you couldn't adjust the temperature properly, the faucets would repeatedly leak, and on numerous occasions the handles came right off in our hands. In the four years we were there, they never fixed the problem, just adjusted it so it would barely function for a while. d) Our washer/dryer unit sucked, but then again so did the refrigerator which was small and inefficient, and the gas stove with the faulty range ignition, and the microwave that didn't heat food properly because it was so old that it had lost a lot of its power. Complaints fell on deaf ears. When our oven was emitting a gas smell even when it wasn't on, the manager's response was to tell us we could call the gas company. It's nice to know that they care so much about their tenants! e) On the subject of that washer/dryer unit, it leaked all over the floor multiple times. Instead of sending Danny, they sent another employee who argued with me, took apart the entire machine, told me everything was fine, put it back together, ran the machine, saw that it was leaking, and left saying he didn't know what the problem was. So we submitted another maintenance request for that same issue, they sent Danny, Danny realized that the drain line from the washing machine needed snaking, and that resolved the issue. Did I mention that most of the maintenance employees besides Danny are duds? f) They make this grandiose promise that they'll fix any issue typically within 2 days, but they have a huge qualification: that only applies if they have the replacement part in stock. So what do you think happens when one of the few built in lights in your unit stops working because the bulb blows out (happened in our kitchen)? You guessed it! They have to order the part! What happened when our air conditioning went out twice? Yup! Had to wait for parts to be ordered! The promise that they will fix issues within 2 days, or cover part of your rent for the inconvenience, is a false promise when they know they'll never have the part needed to fix the problem! But that's Lindley for you... g) Finally, the toe kicks under the cabinetry in the kitchen fell off repeatedly. They're apparently held in place by plastic clips that get old, become brittle, and break. Despite complaining and making numerous maintenance requests, they never repaired or replaced the toe kicks while we were there. Suffice to say, stuff in your apartment will break, and management will always have an excuse for why it isn't a problem or why it's not their responsibility. I'd go on but for word limits. Do yourself a favor and live somewhere else. read more

I visit a friend of mine all the time here. If I had to live in an apartment I would move here. Very clean grounds, great pool area. Summers have been fun, good crowd suntans. Gym is nice and clean, people put back the equipment when they use it. Outside if you walk your dog they have a little bag pole as well as you can throw the waste in there. Also, very modern and very nice looking building and appartments. read more

I don't live here but I have stayed here as a guest of one of the tenants. Complex is highly accessible to freeways, shopping and other great conveniences. It also offers wonderful amenities of which I was impressed: 2-story well-equipped gym, pool, jacuzzi, courtyard...and pets are permitted! Common areas are very clean and interior of units are new and modern. I love it. Very spacious kitchens and great sound-proofing. If i were to move back to the area, this is one place I'd seriously consider. read more

I have all the correspondence with their managers, if anyone is interested, I can send read. if they don't return the money to me, I will go to court with all the evidence! do not deal with these people, I was an honest tenant, I always paid on time and they had no problems with me! the smell of marijuana is always present in this apartment. in general, I do not recommend anyone living with them, housing is very expensive, if you extend the lease, then they raise immediately for $ 200! read more

Lived here a little over a year. They jacked up the rent after our first year and they would have turned around and rented it for $500 more if we moved out. They tried to convince us to renew so that when the State of Emergency is over they can raise it to whatever they want (emergency only allows certain percent increase). This building is NOT rent controlled. Danny was great and usually quick to fix things however certain repairs that needed parts took weeks (shower was inoperable at one point). The floorboards are just up against the cupboards and constantly fall down. The walls are thick and you don't hear much noise in your other rooms but you might be woken up early to vacuuming in the hallways. They didn't provide any wipes or anything for the gym during the height of Covid despite me asking several times. We put in notice to leave and got several calls (one day 2 from the same person 30 min apart) convincing us to stay. Told them we are getting divorced. They still keep asking. As if it wasn't hard enough already. The pool and gym and place itself was overall nice but expensive. Oh and you can't get through to anyone by calling but they do have an app to pay rent and make repair requests. read more

Honestly one of the most frustrating renting experiences I've ever had. It's impossible to get a hold of anybody in the office. I've had to call numerous times and leave multiple messages to get any kind of response. If management says they're going to do something, don't believe them because it doesn't happen. I've been trying to get them to send me my lease renewal information for days now and nothing has been done. Rent is due on Monday and I'm being charged over $200 more than I would be if they just let me renew my lease. My roommate and I have been trying to get this taken care of for WEEKS now and we've had no luck. I honestly wouldn't recommend this apartment complex to anybody. read more

I was impressed with the looks of this place and read all the reviews...comparatively, it seemed like a good place to live so we signed a lease blind from 2,000 miles away. Justin was extremely helpful and accommodating, even when we came a little past closing time to move in. However, living here has become a nightmare and I highly suggest if you're on the fence...listen to the bad reviews and don't move here. Upon move in our apartment was a disaster. There was no cabinet door in the kitchen, the refrigerator was broken, the washer/dryer did not work, the vent in the bathroom was laying on the floor, there was no shower knob in the bath, the garbage disposal didn't work, and the microwave buttons weren't functioning properly. Management hired a new maintenance person and they took care of the problems promptly, so I thought okay maybe this place isn't so bad. Until the fire alarms started going off randomly in the middle of the night on several occasions because of people smoking in the elevator. Then our hot water heater went out FOUR times...that's four cold showers I had to take at 5am and it had only been 3 months since we signed our lease. The place is regularly cleaned, but the tenants are disgusting. I've seen dog poop in the hallways, shopping carts left in elevators, and trash all over the place. When it rains, our windows leak profusely and now the ceiling is brown above it. We've had issues with getting our mail packages several times...they just get left in the lobby for anyone to take. The garage is dirty and supposed to be "secure" but I see homeless people digging through the trash and a knife has been left on a fire extinguisher for over a month now. Not to mention, leaving the garage and turning on to Burbank is like rolling the dice every time on whether or not you'll get hit because the street parking blocks your view of oncoming traffic. To top it all off, even though it has only been 4 months...our rent has NEVER been correctly charged and we have to verify everything before paying. I could go on and on of all the reasons I wish I could afford to break my lease. But in short, this place sucks. read more

Girlfriend, dog, and I lived here for a year. We set our expectations for an apartment and not a house living experience. The staff (Courtney, Justin, Hernan and Chuck) all made us feel welcome and attended to our every request. This is a great balance of price, location, safety, residents, and quality. You ARE living in a community of other apartment residents. There are trade offs whenever humans bunch up together. Bring a respectful attitude and willingness to say hi to your neighbors and you will be (like we were) pleasantly surprised at how many nice people live here. Overall, the staff were extremely attentive to our needs and space was well maintained over the year we were here. We were sad when it was time to move and will return in the future if the need arises. read more
