My wife and I were very excited to checkout the Montecito as it had a very nice outside ambience. As we toured the building with Shelby, she was very helpful and understanding of our move. She was very informative and took the time to explain everything to us about the building. We had toured 6 other buildings around the area and The Montecieto was one of them. We pulled the trigger on this place because it was like a get away when you are in side the building. After we moved in, Shelby was very accommodating and was SO fast on getting the maintenance team to help us out. We had a few issues when we moved in but Shelby and Isis were total rockstars on getting the maintenance team to help us out. With in the first week of moving in, they had addressed all our problems with the unit. The laundry machine broke down and they replaced it with a brand new one within 1 day. The kitchen sink was not working but it was fixed on the 2nd day of us moving in. Augustine (the head Maintence man) was on top of everything to giving us updates and when he will come over to fix the problem. After we had moved in Shelby came by with a gift basket filled with goodies and a huge smile. Thank you guys so much for everything! After settling in every time I pass by Shelby or see her in the building she is so nice and always has a big smile on her face. Given the industry I'm sure a lot of people are asking for things but I have not seen her once in a snobby or upset mood. Thank you Shelby and the entire team here at Montecito. You guys have honestly made our move SO much more enjoyable then it would have been if we moved in to a 200 + unit building, where no one knows who you are and they would not give you this type of treatment. Absolutely terrible service! The elevators are always breaking down and water is always being shut off for "maintenance". This was happening WAY to often and they rarely provide a 24-hour notice. Way too many water issues which would also cause a back up of dirty water which would stain my sinks and toilets frequently. There are always issues in the unit and they make excuses for not being able to fix them. Even when they do try to fix any issues, they do a very poor job. (I've attached some pics as well). The AC continuously leaks and it stained the floor. I've mentioned that the washer and dryer don't work properly MANY times and they never fixed either. This caused the water to overflow in the washer and you would need 2-3 cycles for the dryer to actually dry your clothes. The trash compactor NEVER worked, not even once. I lived there for 2 years and they kept giving me excuses. Eventually promised to switch it with a wine cooler which they never did. There was also someone that was murdered in the building not long ago and they never notified the tenants of what was going on. The weapon was thrown in the pool, there was blood all over the elevator, and the suspect rammed through the parking lot gate damaging the building structure as well. Management is harassing even after the lease ends. I will be pursing legal action as well. This is by far the worst apartment building I've ever resided at, not even close. DO NOT even consider this place! read more

What has happened to this apartment building. I love my apartment....but I jave left several notes for the manager....one serious about the hallway flooring being dangerous and uneven and its been months since i reported it...and still no answer. I also wrote to them about being overcharged for rent....and still havent heard back from them on that issue either. Isis was always quick to respond and reliable.......i have no clue who the new manager is and cant understand why there is no response to problems! What a shame as this is a hi-end apartment complex! This building should be shut down. There was a girl who murdered her husband and kids and herself and it could possibly be due to the extensive mold issues they have throughout the building and the units. Multiple people have been in and out of hotels displaced because of their negligence. They probably are a party of some insurance scam because it's no way so many people have been uprooted from this place. I can't believe no one says anything out load and only amongst one another. everyone should get together and do a class action lawsuit. These things can impact tenants health in unimaginable ways just google the damage mold can cause to one's health. Me and my husband are moving and they are not caring to return our deposit or fix anything. No one has called the city inspectors or anything. This has been going on for years and no one is doing anything about It. This should be on the news the way the building leaks and floods and uproots families. Everything that glitters isn't gold. Just walk around the inside of the building and look down and you can see outside most of the units the mold. So many units monthly as being put in hotels and fake redone just for the next tenant/ victim and the cycle repeats itself. Someone needs to investigate this building and the people running it the management and the hidden people behind them. read more

The Montecito is an extraordinary property. The apartments are spacious and well appointed, the grounds immaculate are inviting, and the management team first rate. During my visit I was shown about by Nancy. She was warm, courteous, and helpful. Frankly, I don't know of any property in Woodland Hills that compares to the Montecito. read more

I strongly advise against living at this building. There's a strong marijuana smell in our unit almost every night. All the manager (Isis Nino) does is send out an email saying second hand smoking is dangerous. They do not care and are unable to address the issue. We simply gave up. Paying close to $6,000 a month and dealing with marijuana smell in our unit. The manager is not helpful and rude depending on her mood. She yelled at my wife in the past and will not allow you to speak if they don't like what you're asking. The building overall is kept poorly and is not worth what they're charging. I asked for the owner's contact information from Isis Nino and she has flat out refused to provide that information which is illegal. Do yourself a favor and stay away. read more

Almost a year update: My family & I have lived at The Montecito for almost a year now & it's been one of the most peaceful communities we have rented. The management & staff have maintained being beyond helpful & super nice since day one. Any repairs to our unit gets fixed immediately which wasn't many but when we called they got right on it. For us , that's a really big plus!! We feel safe, happy to be close to all major stores and supermarkets & we still love living here!! read more

That fact alone speaks volumes about our level of satisfaction regarding our spacious, lovely unit in this wonderful building located ideally in the Warner Center area. Should we have an issue, Isis and her very capable staff including Shelby, Augustine and Carlos respond in a professional, timely and courteous manner. Pros This is a nice community with the most spacious apartments you can come across. It is close to a lot of shops and the best Mall. Denise in the corporate office is the best and will go above and beyond to help with issues that arise because the leasing office are no help. Cons A lot of people are starting to move in the area so it is getting really congested. The leasing manager named Isis is very rude and racist! It's been complaints about her. The Montecito was sold around January and a new management company took over. We moved into The Mont October of 2019 and were disgusted with the last management team. Unfortunately, this management team is no better! At least the last mgmt team kept the building clean, their crew was here 3 times a week. These people are dealing with Covid and the cleaning crew only comes ONCE a week. The elevators, hall ways and garage elevator entrances are always filthy. They seem to always forget to empty the trash at the elevators and it smells horrible. Additionally, not only is our pool still closed while everyone else is opening up, a few weeks ago as things were beginning to calm down they removed ALL our patio furniture from both sitting areas. Pure stupidity! They claim they have a guard in the evening, but cars are always getting broken into. ENOUGH! Start managing the property! read more

My wife and I are Residents at the Montecito, Woodland Hills. The Montecito was developed as a Condemium, at a time when interest rates were rising. So the present owners bought it, and coverted it to a rental. So the units are larger than any rental I have seen in the LA Metro. So while, the building looks like it has 200+ units, the are less than 100 units. Great parking, secured community and I haven't waited more tha 2 minutes for an elevator, concierge service for AMAZON etc. When someone calls us for entry, you can see them and, so it's safe and secure. The Community Team is lead by a Isis, Community Manager and Shelby Leasing and Expereince Consultant and a maintenace team that are spot on and nice people. The team is professional and everything they said during the leasing period was a reality when we signed the lease. At the end of the day, The Montecito is a Community (not an Apartment building). We are Residents and not Tenants. I recommend y'all taking a look at the Community if you want to live in the West Valley. It is " A WONDERFUL LIFESTYLE" read more

I have been living here for almost 10 years. The new owners are the most unprofessional operators I have ever come into contact with. They have no concept of service to the tenants' needs. They do not perform building repairs in a timely manner. They never respond to tenants' emails or phone calls, or answer to our needs. The on-site people are trying their best but their hands are tied. Never have I seen such poor and less-caring owners. In these times, with an excess of new apartments they will definitely lose tenants. They should learn to communicate with their community and try to listen to our needs. Most often when you deal with corporations you experience a paint by numbers, disengaged, even dismissive attitude. You can feel like your imposing! Not true with Prime and where I live. At a time of change and upheaval, Prime stepped up with stability and problem solving. They were efficient, extraordinary and humane. Isis Nino, the onsite manager was on point on every front, had a willing ear and made things happen in 48 hrs. And managed to represent her bosses and me the tenant equally well. Been living here for a few years now and I can honestly say I love it here. The new management has been taking Covid-19 seriously. Also instead of having to remind management constantly about my maintenance work orders like last management , Isis and maintenance crew get right on it and fix whatever issue I have.
