One of the biggest reasons I've enjoyed living here so much is because of Danny and Stephanie. They're always helpful, responsive, and truly care about the people who live here. They don't make you feel like just another tenant -- they treat you like family. Anytime something needs attention or an issue comes up, they handle it very quickly and efficiently. It's reassuring knowing management actually cares and takes action right away. I'm really grateful to call this place home and would definitely recommend it to anyone looking to live in the area.

In November 2024 a new management and leasing agent came on board - Riko and Jesus, then a new maintenance team Ismael and Oscar. Riko and Jesus came in and just took Haven to another level. This is the third management team I have experienced here and they have just blown me away. The first two teams were great, but Riko, Jesus, Ismael and Oscar..they are a dream team. Amazing community events with the biggest turnouts ever. Maintenance requests addressed immediately, Ismael is the best! I have made new life friends here this past year, the residents truly look out for each other. Best of all Haven continues to attract loving like minded people. I have so much gratitude for these 4 guys, and for Riko setting the tone with care and devotion at a level that is rarely seen unless you are the business owner. With meters and lots all over the area, what else would expect from the city life? It's safe here and frequently monitored by SouthPark officers as well. What I'll sorely miss about this place were the relationships that I built. I knew the entire staff and would wave, talk, and truly lean in with them all. If you want a place that does not feel pretentious, has a community of others that say "hi" to you, and is close to the core of DTLA, come live here. It will be hard to find a staff that manages the building and secures it, then you will find it at ELLEVEN. Extremely Disappointing Experience I would strongly caution…read moreanyone considering doing business with Frost Chaddock to think twice and make sure they fully understand the application process and documentation requirements before paying any fees. My experience was incredibly frustrating and, in my opinion, completely unacceptable. I paid two application fees, submitted the documentation requested, and made multiple attempts to get clarification when additional documentation was supposedly needed. The most offensive part of this experience was being told that I had altered my pay stubs. I completely dispute that accusation. I provided my documentation in good faith, and rather than being given a clear opportunity to address the issue, I was left trying to figure out what exactly they wanted from me. I was also told that my co-signer did not provide sufficient income documentation. I specifically asked what additional documentation we could provide to satisfy the requirements. Natalie then told me to complete a "tax transcript," yet there was no option available to me to provide or complete the document she was referring to. I did exactly what a reasonable applicant should do: I asked for clarification. I even emailed Alex on Friday specifically asking what was needed because I wanted to resolve the issue and provide whatever legitimate documentation was required. Despite my efforts, I feel that I was given the runaround after already paying two application fees and investing substantial time gathering documentation. The entire process left me feeling that my time and money were not respected. Being accused of submitting altered documents is especially serious, and I expect companies handling sensitive financial information to have clear, consistent, and professional procedures for verifying documentation and communicating with applicants. I have requested the return of my two application fees and the removal of my personal information and documentation from their system to the extent permitted by law. I have also requested an explanation of the allegation regarding my pay stubs and clarification regarding exactly what documentation was supposedly missing. At this point, I am reporting my experience involving Alex, Natalie, and Frost Chaddock to the appropriate local, state, and federal agencies for independent review. That is not the level of professionalism or transparency I expect when dealing with someone's personal and financial information.

I was suspicious at first, especially because…read moreliterally every other apartment I visited during my frantic search of the area was crappy, overpriced, and/or managed by crazy people, not to mention awash in terrible Yelp reviews, so I thought surely this place was too good to be true. But it really is that great. Of course, I'm not saying this building is perfect. Like other buildings, problems do arise here an there, and you encounter the same issues as you would in any communal living setting. But unlike other places, the management actually deal with the problems as they arise, within reason, and they don't try to pull the wool over your eyes. In addition, the sense of community here is great. Liz and everyone else that work here are so friendly, I genuinely love going to check the mail or pick up a package, because we usually chat for a few minutes. They truly care about the building residents! I think this situation is really rare in a big city. The cherry on top of it all is when I signed the agreement and was lead to my apartment, I had mentioned that I was new to the city and did not know anyone. That's when Liz encouraged me to join her and some of our neighbors for a hike. I took her up on her offer and drove to Runyon Canyon Park (which is only minutes away). The hours flew by as I got to know some of my neighbors/co-adventurers. The other day a friend who used to live in LA but currently does not was passing through town, and I offered him a place to stay--I love having friends over because for the first time in years I have a place that's big enough to have guests. When I told him the address, he revealed that he had actually lived in this building when he first moved to LA! When I asked him how it compared to the other places he'd lived around town, he said this was actually his favorite, in part because it was the biggest studio apartment he ever had. So there you have it! You really can't go wrong with this place. I plan to stay at The Lofts on La Brea for the foreseeable future.
