Owner of business!

Amazing service and very good Thai food and very fast service thank you Lina it was super delicious

Unappetizing cuts, fishy smell, and warm.

‼If you're ever in Dubuque, IA, save your time and money and speed past Lina's Thai Bistro. Almost an hour wait for carry-out. Fried calamari was soggy, oily, and stunk like rotten fish. Sashimi was paper thin, warm, and the cuts were not uniform. Chicken padthai was pale and tasted like sugar with a splash of soy sauce; it was inedible. I tasted a sliver of it and had spit it out; it was so disgusting. The owner's brother, Fong, gave me a refund after some time but there was no apology and he took off immediately afterwards.

Yummy food! So far, my favorite place to eat Thai food. The lunch prices are such a great deal! It comes with soup and rice. There are substitutions for rice for extra charge. Food: my friend and I got...vegetable roll and vegetable samosas, Pad see ew w/pork, drunken noodle, and Thai iced tea. Service: Great service, super nice staffs. We will totally come back to try more of the menu!

Really enjoyed our visit here, a terrific Thai cuisine with excellent customer service, and fairly priced. One of the better Dubuque County food options! I love Thai food, I Yelped and asked around, plus asked a couple of foodie friends who strongly recommended Lina's. They nailed it. An amazing menu, and nearly too many options for me on a hangry night! Ended up with their pad see ew, and it was fantastic! Everything about the meal was spot on. Great server. Parking right outside the door.

Hello Once again in Dubuque and another Thai/Asian restaurant I really approve. It was not busy while i was there so I had zero issues with service. In fact my server Brianna on my receipt was very good. So thank you for great service. Well then there is the menu! I would say a book or a long novel!! I was in overload like a dog with it's nose out the car window!! You want variety this is the place. I hade the thai basil noodles with sea food. Yum. Great flavor with scallops, shrimp, calamari, mussels!! Go check the place out!! I will be back nd want to try more!

Hello. When I entered Lina's Thai bistro I was greeted by multiple staff members and was given a seat. The ambience of Lina's Thai bistro is unique, especially for Dubuque. A variety of furniture styles, as well as colorful lighting. Once my order arrived (took no more than 8 minutes) I was surprised to find that the only utensil given was a fork. Perhaps I needed to as ask for different utensils. That aside the Koi Soi Fortune Noodles was delicious, not too much sauce and all the ingredients were fresh. Thank you.

Honestly, a solid place to have good Thai food in Dubuque. Sushi is amazing and the skillets are the best!

Quaint little restaurant and the decor was solid. We had to wait for almost everything which isn't surprising as they looked to be short-staffed - I hope they staff more than two front house people regularly. My friend and I had drinks, he tried a Thai beer and peach saki, which he enjoyed. I had fountain root beer. We ordered steamed potstickers, which came out too quickly, were just north of warm and the sauce was far too sweet. Underwhelming. They'd be better if they were up to temp and the sauce was more savory and less sweet. The crabmeat Rangoon was crisp on one side and a little soggy on the other, they came out hot but I think they had been sitting for a bit. The sauce was again, far too sweet. It looked like straight honey with red pepper flakes in it. The entrees however, almost made up for the appetizers. Both plates were large and outstanding flavor. He had Racy Pad Thai (shrimp) with level 2 heat (1-5). I had chicken pad Thai (level 3), with a tamarind-based sauce and chopped peanuts on top. Again, both were fantastic. Overall a pleasant experience, I will return.

It's nicely decorated and comfortable. We were greeted and told to sit anywhere. We chose the last available booth and placed our order. After the server left we noticed that the table needed to be wiped. We didn't see the server again until our food was ready, so she's probably working in the kitchen as well as tables. When our food came we asked for the table to be wiped and she did. The appetizers came without plates for us but no big deal. We were splitting an entree. We then asked for plates and forks when the entree arrived, which she provided, but no napkins, which my husband went and grabbed. Our shrimp entree was spicy and still flavorful, everything I love about good Thai food. My point is that this place with really really good food is only marginal as far as the table service goes. In spite of the issues with service I'm giving them all the stars because the food was so good. Try them!

There's not much more I can ask for when visiting a restaurant for the first time in over three and…read morea half years, which was my favorite restaurant when I used to live in the area, and having an experience that was just as amazing and consistent as what I had all those years back! The workers and owners here at Hot 'n Spicy are very friendly and the larb siin, thum mak hoong, siin savanh, sai oua (medium), combo crispy lard nar, and sesame balls are the bomb! The larb's bitter and sour, with the beef tasting tender and juicy, just like how I like it and how I make it. The thum has the same fishy, pungent taste that I love, with super fresh papaya and tomatoes. These were the two dishes I ordered when I first checked out this restaurant in April 2022, and both taste just like how I remembered them. The siin savanh's flavorful (with hints of fish sauce and soy sauce), crisp, and tender. The sai oua's super juicy and tender, with spices, and is of the sweet variety (not the sour variety). The jeow som that comes with it is super garlicky and fishy, with a slight hint of spice, just as I'd want it like and how I'd make it myself. The lard nar has crispy noodles that were just right in terms of crisp and flavor (you can feel the crispy while still tasting the flavor of the wide rice noodles) and the protein's also the right level of tenderness (not tough at all)! I think the sauce uses more soy sauce than I'd like, as it's a bit heavier than what I make and see at most other restaurants, but that's no big deal. The sesame balls are warm, the perfect level of chewy, and generously filled. The bean filling's so tasty. They also aren't oily in the slightest! The (regular) sticky rice, purple, is fresh and is a generous option for the price. I wish the food were spicier, as I used to order this same spice level (their spiciest level) years back and found myself sweating and having a runny nose. I hope I might be able to order spicier than their spiciest level next time! I ordered a lot and they were in the middle of a lunch rush during my visit, but all my dishes came at a reasonable time. Also, my waitress, Alyssa (not sure if I spelled her name correctly since I didn't ask her how she spells it), made sure to check on me and other tables every few minutes to see how we were doing! After my meal, I love how Alyssa gave me some stickers, just as I love how I got to speak a little bit with the kitchen staff (as they were less busy by the time I was leaving)! I found it funny how some of them thought I was Kevin, a family friend of theirs. It was this amazing combination of food and service, which reminded me of my family and simpler times, that was the reason this restaurant was my go-to restaurant when I was a law school student at UW-Madison years back (even though this restaurant was out of my way and there were so many other Lao/Southeast Asian restaurants closer to where I was living). My visits here back then helped more than I could ever describe with combating all the stress I had (because law school was so difficult) and the loneliness I had (because I had no luck making friends at the time). Sadly, they didn't have Thai iced tea during my visit, so that'll be a reason for me to come back! I'll have to get their pho next time, as that's also a dish I ordered years ago and loved! Btw, this restaurant will soon be moving from inside of Viet Hoa Market to Mishqui Peruvian Bistro (same plaza), which will allow them to have more tables/seating and more hours, so I'll definitely be back after they've moved!

We tried the angel wings, pad see ewe, and pho. The wings were delicious - very crispy and flavorful. The pho had a lot of beef and was flavorful. I had spice level 3 (out of 4) which was definitely spicy (would recommend spice level 1 or 2 for those who are not used to spice). Overall, food was great - would recommend.
