Always a favorite! The food is consistently delicious, and we find ourselves coming back often. I usually stick with the Pattaya Street Noodles with tofu (my go-to) while my husband enjoys it with chicken. I used to love it with beef too. Occasionally, I'll switch things up and get the glass noodles for a different texture- they come with the same great flavor and veggies. We love the avocado roll appetizer. Whether dining in or ordering takeout, the portions are generous and often enough for two meals. This place is especially great if you need dietary accommodations. ‼If you're ever in Dubuque, IA, save your time and money and speed past Lina's Thai Bistro. Almost an hour wait for carry-out. Fried calamari was soggy, oily, and stunk like rotten fish. Sashimi was paper thin, warm, and the cuts were not uniform. Chicken padthai was pale and tasted like sugar with a splash of soy sauce; it was inedible. I tasted a sliver of it and had spit it out; it was so disgusting. The owner's brother, Fong, gave me a refund after some time but there was no apology and he took off immediately afterwards. read more

Yummy food! So far, my favorite place to eat Thai food. The lunch prices are such a great deal! It comes with soup and rice. There are substitutions for rice for extra charge. I love Thai food, I Yelped and asked around, plus asked a couple of foodie friends who strongly recommended Lina's. They nailed it. I used to love coming to Lina's when I first moved to Dubuque but the last two visits had left me disappointed. While still decently priced, I feel like the restaurant feels run down and almost dirty. I usually order the panang curry but twice now it has seemed bland. The pineapple fried rice was decent. They were out of the dessert I ordered for take out but was never told. I only found when I got home to discover they were out so I had to call uber eats to get a refund. I'll be willing to give it one more chance but if I have to drive out of my way to Pete's Thai, then I guess I will have to do that. read more

Hello. When I entered Lina's Thai bistro I was greeted by multiple staff members and was given a seat. The ambience of Lina's Thai bistro is unique, especially for Dubuque. A variety of furniture styles, as well as colorful lighting. Once my order arrived (took no more than 8 minutes) I was surprised to find that the only utensil given was a fork. Perhaps I needed to as ask for different utensils. That aside the Koi Soi Fortune Noodles was delicious, not too much sauce and all the ingredients were fresh. Thank you. read more

The restaurant is rather dark and the menu was hard to read between being dark and very small print.They were out of Singha beer so ordered a Sapporo. Started with the lettuce wraps and dim sum. Both were very good with ample amount of lettuce. We then ordered a Las Vegas roll. Very large and tasty. Also ordered yellowtail tuna and salmon nigri. This is not good. Ok service. It was not very busy when I ordered so the food came quick. I ordered Pad Thai and the Crying Tiger Beef. Ended up very disappointed with the Pad Thai. I ordered it really spicy. It was not spicy at all, too sweet and didn't taste like what Pad Thai should taste like. The Crying Tiger Beef was nothing special and I was hoping the sauce lived up to its name. The sauce was sweet and tangy. Not spicy at all. Last but not least... the rice was cold. Not sure what's going on here??? Definitely not worth it. Waitress said she wanted us to know that evenings and weekends it is different than the lunch soup. She couldn't give us a description of either or describe them other than to say they have different broths and other things. So then everything came at once. The hot and sour was different but good. The chicken wonton soup was bland but improved after adding soy sauce. Dumpling and edamame were ok. The ribs were bland and as dry as they looked. No BBQ sauce so we asked for Thai Chili sauce. The waitress was not helpful or very professional. I asked if any of the sushi rolls had fish roe. She had no idea what I was talking about. She was clearing tables and actually put someone else's half finished plate on our table in order to pick up some dishes from our table, TWICE!! Eeeww. Needless to say we will not be back. read more

A hidden gem off our route from Madison to Cedar Rapids. So I love asian food. They have so many options to get fed. I love their appetizers, sushi and their curry options. My go to option is their avocado cucumber cream cheese sushi (appetizer avocado sushi but I add few extra things ;) ) Green curry I have had better but love their skull drink. We were seated right away, did not receive our water while we were waiting for the drinks we ordered. I ordered Spicy Basil Noodles with Shrimp and Thai Ice Coffee and my BF ordered Teriyaki Mango Chicken. The food was delicious and the atmosphere was great, however once we received our food the waitress did not check to see if we needed anything or ask how our food was and when we finished with our meals, she brought the bill to us and still did not ask us how our food was. I know everyone can have a bad day but we drove 40 minutes to enjoy an evening out. It was not busy at all and I would have rated 5 stars but we were not happy about the service we got. I owned a restaurant for 10 years I should know. Your food can be awesome but if the service is not great then it doesn't help the business. But I still tip the waitress. read more

Was really in the mood to treat myself one night after a hard day of work. Ordered the volcano roll and an order of pad Thai so I could have leftovers the next day for lunch... I showed up 45 min later (time given for pick up, no problem), I waited another 15 min in store. It was a weeknight so it wasn't extremely busy but still a decent crowd so I gave them the benefit of the doubt. When I got home I was starving at this point and excited to eat my dinner. I have never in my life been an extremely picky eater and can usually find the good in what I order, but when I tell you I've never thought twice about throwing this in the trash faster. The pad Thai was the worst I've ever had, extremely dry and flavorless... so the sushi can save this dinner right? Wrong. The volcano roll is to have tempura shrimp, cream cheese, and crab meat on top. it tasted like cream cheese wrapped in rice.. I cut open another piece and there was 1 tiny piece of shrimp in the entire sushi roll. That dish went straight in the trash with the pad Thai. A nice way to waste $40. Not worth the time. read more

Lina's offers a huge variety of Thai dishes. They have excellent service, although it wasn't too busy when I went during lunch time. I especially enjoyed the veggie egg rolls. I ordered feel strips with tiger hot dipping sauce. The beef strips were so cold so I sent them back . After 10 min they returned not with fresh ones but with the ones I sent back microwaved into jerky along with the bed of lotus it was on also microwaved. I complained to the frustrated looking waitress and she just said "sorry" and that was it. Wasn't offered a replacement and was still charged full price. Terrible service and my dinner was so bad! We enjoyed our lunch at Lina's. For being in a strip mall, it's a surprisingly decent place. The interior/decorations were nice, especially the waterfall wall and the numerous plants. The service was great, and the food was good. Their Lina's roll was unique and delicious. The pomegranate and lemongrass martinis were yummy, too. Service was friendly and fast, but the food is very bland. On two separate occasions I've tried their Pad Thai and Koi Soi noodles. The first time I tried their Pad Thai but what little sauce there was on it was extremely sweet. No umami flavor, just straight up tamarind sauce. So next time I went I thought I'd try something new, so I got the Koi Soi. But at first I honestly didn't think they remembered to put the sauce on because it tasted like just boiled noodles and vegetables. When I got to the tiny bit of sauce on the bottom of the plate, it honestly just tasted like a bland Alfredo sauce. Not even a good Alfredo sauce. I'm not a picky eater, I try to see the good in what I eat, and if I wanted noodles and veggies and tofu, then what I ordered would have been great. But I was hoping for and expecting something more flavorful because I can honestly just cook noodles for myself at home and add some iceberg lettuce and chopped onions myself and for a much cheaper price.
