A friend and I stopped by during a relatively hot summer day. Lin & Daughters had some seasonal cold noodles available, so we chose the sesame with salmon. Is it ever too hot for hot beef noodle soup? Obviously it's never too hot for soup. (Also inside is nicely air conditioned.) We also added the wontons in chili oil though we did want to try the dumplings. Everything was delicious! I thought the beef noodle soup was excellent, and I'm generally pretty picky about this dish. The broth was not too heavy and it had just a touch of spice to it. Portion sizes are perfect to share if you want to do family style. I could have eaten my weight in these wontons too. We appreciated a delicious Chinese noodle spot in Flatiron. Will definitely be back. read more

Super nice location in flatiron! Next to another great thai dessert restaurant thats across the court yard! Food was fresh and hot! I didn't like the chocolate lava unfortunately because it was just an $8 chocolate milk. Strawberry Matcha was yummy! The noodles and dumplings have great flavor and taste amazing with the seasoning and flavors all together! The restaurant had a variety of seating so definitely worth visiting if you are close by! I so wanted to try the Lanzhou inspired soup and after a long day of walking, this soup healed me. The broth was so rich and the prefect amount of spicy. The noodles were chewy and the meat was so tender. The meat was a bit fatty, but I love that kind of meat. Stumbled across this gem today on a walk so I planned a little DoorDash to give it a try. I think I would honestly request the dumplings with chili oil as my dying meal. Joking aside they were the perfect combination of flavor, not too spicy but fluffy perfection. So fresh. The beef soup was also one of my favorite things I've eaten. Lin & Daughters was featuring a New Year's special of Golden Potato Dumplings for only $10.99 for a limited time served two ways: in house chili or in broth. I opted for the broth and was not disappointed. So tender , flavorful and comforting. As a side I went with the Rangoon cheese Scallion rolls. OMG - the most delectable curated scallion pancake I ever tasted . Do order this ! Very nice atmosphere inside , so welcoming . Came across this place by complete chance and left satisfied! Inside is small but well lit and woodsy. Decorations for the holiday season and all year around strewn about. For its size, there's quite a selection of dishes to choose from: soups, noodles, dumplings and even boba! I ended up ordering a plate of peanut noodles for $10 and it was served pretty quickly. The noodles had a nice chew, and the overall flavor was more umami than peanutty. Not a complaint! But if you're expecting a peanut punch, this might not be the dish for you. At its price point, I do wish there were a bit more noodles. But I didn't walk out hungry and service was really nice. Overall, if you're looking for a good set of peanut noodles, maybe hold out for Chinatown and its more affordable fare. Nice little space that recently opened up. The original location is in west village. The inside is nicely decorated. You order up at the front of the counter with the cashier and then get a number stand to bring to your table so that the staff can bring it to you if you're dining in. The food is definitely more like Asian style with an American taste/twist so it doesn't taste like your typical Chinese food that one might expect. Not a bad thing but just don't come in head expecting fully Chinese flavors because it's more fusion/American style. read more

I was walking by and stopped by the new Lin & Daughters store in flatiron/nomad. They also have another location in west village. It's got a cozy interior and was really clean inside including the bathroom. The staff was super friendly and the food was delicious! Everything tastes homemade and we liked everything we tried. The house shrimp dumplings in the lime cilantro sauce were super tasty. Both the wonton noodle soup and beef noodle soup were super comforting on the cold day. I definitely recommend adding some chili oil from the sauce area in the back to the soup for some extra flavor! I'll definitely be back to try some other items soon! read more

I found Lin and daughters a few years ago and till this date its still my FAVORITE. I've been to the West Village location more times than I can count so I was quite excited to try the flat iron location, let me tell you it is EVERYTHING! This is a place we walked by twice and finally stopped on our vacation to New York. We seen Noodles and that sold us. We had the Pork dumplings and chili wontons, Dan Dan noodles and The Lin chicken noodles. Today we had the Brisket pancake wrap which was so flavorful, the shrimp dumplings, beef noodle and the fried rice. Everything we had was so delicious.
