Beautiful space! I went here for a networking happy hour and was amazed by these indoor rooftop views! Also having an indoor space in the dead of summer was wonderful. I just had a glass of wine on happy hour, but other people had cocktails. They also have a patio outside, but it was full of other guests. They have valet parking, but I took an uber. Not sure if they have food or if it's just drinks and views, but I will definitely take out of town guests here! read more

I was visiting Limestone for a holiday party. Perfect venue with ample seating and space for an event. Upon arrival there was a 5 minute wait or so to valet, but they were moving quick and polite. Then we had a lovely staff member guide us to the elevator and up to the rooftop. The venue is lovely and nice views if you go during sunset time. Between the buildings adjacent there was a beautiful view of the lake and sunset. It was pretty packed. There was a little wait for a drink at the bar, but not too bad. The bartenders were not rude and I know they were slammed, but they could have been a little nicer and at least smile. The rest of the staff was very attentive and friendly to make sure our tables were cleared. They had a nice array of food choices. Meats and cheeses were displayed nicely. From the hot menu items the shrimp tacos, sliders and egg rolls were my fav. The chicken taco didn't have much flavor, but the meat was tender. Also it's VERY VERY easy to find. Ignore the previous reviews that say otherwise. I went up to the bartenders and i told them i had a reservation and where we should sit and they said any where we wanted. The place was dead. The music was all over the place and threw off the vibe. It took forever to get drinks and food. Our waiter/bartender was very nice and i know its not their fault about the food but they would disappear here and there which made it annoying. Now for the food we started with the zucchini fritters which tasted like they came from a frozen bag. We also got the rip n dip which was hummus and baklavas which i will say was really good. When it came to ordering the main courses they had ran out of them. Not sure how that happens when we went at 7:30 on a Saturday night and the place was empty. Great ambience, good location, nice rooftop with a view of Rainey. There weren't a lot of people when we went here on a Friday evening, since it's still a fairly new location. And they had a live DJ, their menu has speciality cocktails, and some bar bites. We ordered hummus and pita - the rip n dip, it tasted like store bought hummus i.e like it had lot of preservatives. It was supposed to be vegan too, but the tomatoes clearly had haloumi cheese in them. And I ordered the Ziki, but they were out of avocado crema so couldn't make that drink. Despite these misses, I had a great time because of the ambience. The place only had one person serving at the bar, who'd tend to the bar along with other patrons, so we had to wait for the orders, check etc but it just meant that we weren't disturbed very often so it was ok by me however, i can see how that can get frustrating read more

This is a very nice bar with great vibes and views! I came for one of the Wednesday summer "live music" happy hours but I never saw any live musicians (even so, the general music playlist was good). The night I came the place was pretty quiet in general actually - there were 3-4 other tables with folks who cleared out by the time we left. There is valet validated parking for up to 3 hrs per the folks working downstairs. The workers were also very helpful and friendly! Steven and Ashley were the valet workers who helped me - they were really kind and gave me straightforward instructions. They also helped me out when I came a little late at the end of the night and gave me reassurance about not being charged since I was close to the time. The drinks here are good (and STRONG). I tried the Adios (sweet, like a piña colada) and the mark my words (tastes like bourbon lol). My friends let me try their drinks so I also had the purple haze (I like the drink itself, the foam adds a nice texture but not much to flavor - strong though! And the Mediterranean margarita - tastes like a watermelon marg, and the deja brew - tastes like sweet coffee with a little booze in it). Overall the vibes are great, the seating areas are spacious and the bathrooms are very clean. There were only two bartenders for the whole place so the service wasn't the fastest, but they were very helpful and working as fast as they could so mad props! Overall this is a very nice bar - I would definitely recommend a visit if you're in Austin! Great for groups; parking a little scant and messy in the nearby area but the 3 hr validated valet parking really helps. read more

I found this place via instagram and I was very excited to check it out for myself! I made a reservation for 6pm. However, this is where things turned south for a bit. My Lyft was running late causing me to be late by 15 minutes so I attempted to call the bar to explain and hopefully still be able you get seated. The number online resulted in a dead end and a robot "Google Voice" voicemail. I then tried calling the hotel to explain only to be told that the hotel and the bar don't have an internal transfer number and hopefully they will be open to still seat me if I'm late. I then sent a message via OpenTable just in case. Luckily I made it in time. When I got upstairs, there was no one at the host stand and just two bartenders. So I went up to the bar and asked about seating and he informed me that it was open seating but you had to order at the bar. The drinks and dessert I had were very good. Staff was really friendly. All around a great experience. Well located and although valley parking is offered for the Cambria hotel- part of the restaurant-, you can park in the street across the restaurant. The place is charming and the view unbeatable. Service was good and the food pretty decent Price is reasonable and we had a great B-Day celebration. A few steps from the popular Rainey Street where many bars and live music can be enjoyed until late in the night. I recommend this place. read more

I took myself to dinner at Limestone. It was a Friday night around 5pm. I sat at the bar and was there for about an hour. There were only two other customers and the place is huge. I sat at the bar and learned that the regular bartender wasn't at work and there so the guy tending bar was a sub. He let me know right away that the regular bartender didn't leave his recipe book and I should "probably just order something straight up." LOL. I was okay with that and the sub was super nice but I probably would've ordered an Old Fashioned otherwise. Ordered a local rye (Still Austin) and really enjoyed it. Ordered shrimp tacos and thought they were just okay. Bartender gave me and the other customer at the bar some free pastries. Again...super nice. Place is huge so it was weird to be there on a Friday with it so empty. Anyway - I gave it a "3" but want to be clear it's a cool venue and even the substitute was really nice. Hotel is overall nice however I strongly feel housekeeping needs to do a better job with cleaning the rooms as well as daily room cleaning. They only clean every other day which I am not a fan of. When we first checked into our room the shower was not completely cleaned throughly and there were some crumbs on the living room floor area. However the front desk workers were very accommodating and moved us to another room. Valet service is amazing! Noah & Ashleigh are both amazing and service is outstanding! I'm leaving this hotel a 4 star just because there is room for improvement. The plumbing system could use a bit of work. The walls of the hotel were also very thin which made it easy to hear your neighbors or anyone in the halls, as well as the bars and construction site next to the hotel. I'd leave zero stars if I could. Excited to check out the new rooftop bar for their advertised "Valentine Experience". Arrived on time for our 7:15pm reservation and was told the outside was full even though our reservation, made 3 weeks previous, was for outside. Paid a manager $20 to accommodate us. Outside bar was cozy and had a view of new construction around the area. Waited 30 minutes to order a drink, which we understood as we were told staff was overwhelmed the minute we were seated. We were given a menu with 12 items with 10 items checked off as not available. We ordered off the Valentine Experience menu and were told we would share the 5 items. 2 items came out in 20 minutes. 60 minutes passed without any more food or a waitperson. A new waitperson finally showed up and asked us if we wanted anything else. We both said dinner and then explained we would just like to leave at this point. Many other patrons were leaving and sharing the same frustrations. We were told the manager would be back to help us. 30 more minutes passed and manager keep walking passed us without helping us. Finally decided to leave money on table and left. Manager was horrible and would not talk with us when we approached her as we were leaving. I finally walked up to her and asked her why she would not talk to us? She just stared. I told her I left money on the table for the drinks. She said okay! No apologies or explanation. Extremely poor result of management. This is an issue that comes from the top. Two hours and no food. Many other couples left. I have never left a negative review. I agree with earlier review. This place is a hidden gem in the middle of downtown, I noticed they had a Father's Day dinner! Additionally noticed the service. The Manager Sebastian was very attentive to tables along with the server Valerie, one table even mentioned it was the best gift their daughter has given to her father. I was able to enjoy the food as the Chef came around to all areas of the lounge and offered a tasting of the Father's Day dinner. Then there was Nester and Jerome, the best bartenders and passion in what they do! You just don't find that anywhere anymore. OH and the view! Cried at dinner on Valentine's Day. Worst restaurant experience I have quite literally EVER had. I am appalled that this place is still open for business in the condition it's currently running in. I was spending the first Valentine's Day with my partner after doing long distance. It took a lot of bargaining with my employer to even get the night off to begin with, as I TOO work as a server at a reputable restaurant and have worked in this industry for years. I am extremely empathetic when it comes to wait staff and hostesses, as I know what goes on behind the scenes, especially on a holiday. However, this staff has no absolutely no excuse for the way they treated us and the absolute dumpster fire that this night was. We got there at 6:45 for our reservation on the patio. It wasn't busy at all, there were plenty of tables open both inside and out. We were seated and immediately noticed that our table was the only one not given a lamp to see anything or read the menu. So there we sat, in the dark, while tables around us were sat, given a lamp and greeted. Waitresses were walking by us left and right on this tiny patio. Over 10 minutes went by and I saw who I believe was a manager / hostess. I respectfully said "excuse me?" And she looked straight at me and walked away. I then follow her back inside and go up to the host desk. Ignored by the same woman. I said excuse me once again and was barely acknowledged. I said we had not been greeted for 15 minutes and I was told they would "see what they could do" A server finally comes up clearly annoyed with us, asking us what we want to drink. We were immediately uncomfortable and my boyfriend was like we will take a bottle of rose. I realize I left my wallet. The waitress goes "well I'm not serving you if you're underage" clearly assuming we were trying to pull a fast one on her. She turns to my boyfriend, without even IDing him and asks if he still wants it. He says yes , and she looks shocked. We told her we would find the ID for her. The manager/hostess who had been giving me a cold shoulder walks over with two glasses and the bottle. She has a much kinder demeanor and tells me she does not want to ruin my night and already knows how tough of a time we've had. I show her a photo of my valid ID and she says, "this would not fly anywhere else or any other night." I was grateful for her graciousness. Well apparently some people weren't feeling so gracious because two minutes later our server makes a huge scene on the patio, storming out and YANKING THE WINE GLASS OUT OF MY HAND and yells about how dare I drink after she just said she wouldn't serve me??Immediately my boyfriend is like "woah woah your staff served her she's not just serving herself? She is of age" I'm at a loss of words, she thinks I'm lying and I tell her to go ask the woman in the sweater who served me. She asks if it's her manager and I'm like lady I have no clue. She then sends another woman out who says she's the manager, once again making a huge scene on the patio while everyone is staring. She tells me if she sees me even touch a wine glass for the rest of the night that she will personally escort me out of the restaurant. YOUR STAFF SERVED ME? I was done arguing and I felt completely embarassed. I told her okay and she stormed away and I was left with tears streaming down my face- not quite the look you want to give off on Valentine's Day. The server then comes up to the table and sees me crying. She goes "well can you drink?" And then gives me the fakest "Awwh" I have ever heard. She asks about food and then sees the menu I'm holding and once again YANKS IT out of my hand asking where I got it because it wasn't the right menu?? Well apparently they were using the special valentines menu, except only one item was available to order along with three others off another menu. I can't explain to you how confusing it was when all we were told we could order were brussel sprouts and flatbread and then when we looked around us and inside the restaurant people were eating STEAKS AND FISH? We even saw people eating it on our way out hours later! Fast forward my ID is dropped off. They were not expecting to see that when it arrived. I gladly chugged our wine for the rest of the night. Once we got our food, nobody ever came back to the table for well over an hour. Asked for water at the start and never received that and just gave up on it altogether. People started leaving. Confused, we asked someone who appeared to be a busser to check us out. Our entire bill should've been taken care of, but nope. They charged us for it all. This management should be humiliated by the entire execution of the night, esp seeing as I am the third person to leave the same review. Your restaurant is not large enough for it to function this poorly. And to the manager in the pink and black dress and our waitress- take up another career, because hospitality isn't for you! read more
